    Food truck parked on 5th & R!
    Mei W.

Love their fish tacos! I visited this food truck when they were in downtown during lunch hour on 5th and R. It was my first time here and I decided to try their special of the day which were fish tacos. The tacos definitely hit the spot for me that afternoon! For $12, my tacos were stuffed with huge Alaska cod fish along with lettuce, onions and their house special sauce drizzled on top. This food truck serves mainly seafood such as calamari, crab and shrimp balls to even lobster rolls! I did see another customer order their calamari which looked absolutely delicious! Will definitely have to try it out the next time they're around! This food truck definitely deserves 4 stars, but for the price of $12 for only two tacos and no sides (not even chips or fries!), it calls for a 1 star deduction!

WOW!!! Kieth and Marisol are amazing people and hard workers !!! Lobster rolll to die for , filet tacos are Litterally so good but I've never tasted anything better then those friken clam chowder fries!!!!!!!!!

    Fish & chips

Rudy's on the Roll was at the Tahoe Park Spook-Tacular. I ordered the fish & chips (three pieces of hand dipped, beer battered golden fried Cod. Served with French fries, tartar sauce & fresh lemon). The food was fresh and delicious! The staff was friendly as well. I will definitely be going back.

It saddens me to write this low star review because I had High hopes! The fam and I attended the SactoMoFo event at Garcia Park this past Friday. Our goal was to try a number of trucks and a number of dishes. I really really wanted to try Cruzin Crustesean! Major sea lover fan. At 1st I was confused because the truck detailed Rudy's Hideaway all over it but the sign looked like the one I saw on yelp. I finally realized the truck was one in the same, the small Cruzin sign is on the very front of the truck. Menu board detailed chowder, crab balls, fish n chips, calamari, lobster roll, lobster slider and lobi pop. We decided on calamari and lobi pop (only for me). I was informed 5/6 minutes for the pop. Side note: Pricey!!!!!! Each item in board is priced without tax but once tax is added it evens out the price. Example: $7.11 for calamari, total price with tax $8.00. Calamari came out 1st looking good but just kind of bland! And they are really cutting corners offering actual homemade bland kettle chips instead of actual chips aka fries with all their fried dishes. No one wants fish and kettle chips???!! Finally after 15 minutes or so my Lobi Pop came out! So this dish is a grilled lobster tail, resting on coleslaw and topped with fried onions! Sounds like my kind of dish! Well I don't remember the board saying half the tail? You can get these small tails for $5 in the store so I assumed (and we all know what happens when one assumes...) it would be the whole thing. Anywho I dove in. Coleslaw was boring, made with vinegar and no mayo. It was clearly just a filler not meant for eating. Lobster tail half was covered in a tasty sauce, and I killed it. It was wonderful! But honestly I felt like I was robbed. $10 bucks....half a tail, inedible slaw, those onions also no need. Overall no Thanks! Over priced, cutting corners, and unseasoned food....at least I tried it. Won't be back! Cheers!

The food and service from this food truck is great! It's a bit pricy though. So far, I've had the following... Lobster Slider: It was delicious! When I saw the size of the slider, I thought it was a bit small, but it was just enough to eat with the side of house chips. The house chips was seasoned well, but it was a mishmash of crispy and soggy chips. For 10 bucks, there better not be any soggy chips with the slider. Lobster Roll: It was fabulous! For $18, it was a worthwhile indulgence because they are not skimpy on the Maine lobster meat, and it was cooked perfectly. The lobster meat and diced celery were tossed in drawn butter served with lemon aioli and leafy lettuce in a toasty roll. The house chips that came with the order were also crispy. There wasn't a soggy chip in my order because I expressed my last experience. I'm definitely a fan, but it won't be often that I'll enjoy their food because I won't have a rainy day fund if I indulge on a regular basis with their prices. This will be a special treat once in a while. PS: Tax is included in the prices I mentioned.

We saw them at the Festival here in Elk Grove this last weekend, and my husband decided he wanted to try some tacos. The people working were really friendly and the tacos were delicious!! The meat was moist and they were so full of flavor and fresh. Couldn't ask for more!!

I had the lobster roll. It was ok. I'm not big on lobster to begin with. I keep trying to like it and I just don't. That being said, their lobster was decent. Which means a lot coming from someone who doesn't like lobster. The chips though, those were hella good!! For me it wasn't worth the $20 price tag. They do have other things I'd like to try.

Half of a lobster roll that I split with a coworker and half order of the crab balls (1 order comes with 4)

Just watched them drive off an event that is open until 9:00pm at 7:42pm. If they commit to an event they need to stay until it ends.

Amazing... no, better than amazing!!…read more Whatever is above amazing -- that's what this is. I'm telling you now, I will not be getting hibachi anywhere else for a long time. My family has had them cater multiple gatherings, and every single time it's been the highlight of the event. And yes, the hibachi show is fun. Yes, the professionalism is solid. But let's be real -- it's the food that separates them. I know people say hibachi is hibachi, but trust me... it's not. I love hibachi, and this is on another level. It took me right back to the first time I fell in love with it -- the flavor, the texture, the way everything is cooked and seasoned. It just hits different. And here's my advice -- don't wait until you have a big event to experience it. Track down their truck and go get a plate for yourself. Just make sure you get there early because there will be a line, and they will sell out. Also, check their Instagram before you go. If they're booked for a catering event, they won't be out, and you'll be stuck settling for something that's just... not this. Go try it. Then come back and tell me I was wrong. I don't think you will.

Bonsai Catering is incredible! We hired them to cater our annual church couples valentines date…read morenight. We had over 50 people and everyone LOVED it! The staff was an hour early to set up, very friendly and professional. Food was amazing and so were their hibachi skills. It was so wonderful to see all our guests laughing and enjoying the show and food. People could not stop talking about it at Mass the next day, I'm positive we will have a bigger turn out next year! I cannot recommend this company enough!!!
