Absolutely Terrible Customer Service! I did a return and had two gift receipts. The girl…read moreaccidentally returned it back to the card. I was returning the Christmas gift I did not want it to go back to the card that's why I had the gift receipts. The young girl apologized and said oh I screwed up which was fine.The guy manager at no time ask to help her or even seem to care that she was in a panic Or that there was a problem. The guy manager that was standing there is the problem totally rude no customer service no apology. When I ask him about the return saying I had a gift receipt he said that's how we do it. It goes right back to the card. What is the purpose of a gift receipt then? It says you get a gift card on the gift receipt. He was really rude and wanted to continue fighting with me saying that's how we do it?!! I tried to explain I had a gift receipt again but again he wanted to talk over me and say no that's how we do it. I guess I should have just returned with no receipt. I feel this manager needs to be educated in Customer Service. And learn his job.

Service - Good, greeted when we walked in. They offered to help. I declined as I am just window shopping until I find that PERFECT boot! Price - Reasonably priced. Maybe Santa is listening? Gayle and I also found the owner to be friendly, engaging, and very local knowlegable. The interior of the shop itself is handsome and well laid out. Located on the right hand side of eastbound Highway 50 and about a mile east of Highway 580 in Carson City, "Classy Seconds Thrift Shop" has been one of the main go-to thrift stores dating back to the late-1990's. Since I do not live in this area, this was my first opportunity as I got to check this place out which was during the afternoon on Friday 6/19/2026 at around 2:45pm. The location itself is not hard to miss as the building is very visible from the main highway. To actually get into the dedicated parking lot involves having to turn right on Brown St. and make another right on Gordon St. where the main entrance is. Since this is a fairly sizable and open space area, parking should never be an issue, no matter what day or time you come. The building itself is a clay grey shade complete with avocado green lettering. And for those wondering, they are open 7 days a week; Monday-Saturday from 10am-6pm and Sunday from 10am-5pm. Once inside, you will see how spacious the layout is with approximately 10,000 square feet of floor space and ample room to walk with a shopping cart. As for the variety of items that are offered, this place carries everything from mens/womens/kids clothing, shoes, houseware items, books, CDs/DVDs, furniture, small appliances, seasonal items, knick/knacks, and accessories. The one real advantage is that the prices here are quite competitive and even lower than the bigger major chain thrift stores such as Goodwill and Salvation Army. During my visit, I ended up buying a few summer polo shirts while my lady bought some mason jars and a small office organizer for her cubicle at work. Best of all, the money donated to this business helps support advocates to end domestic violence and services for survivors of family violence and victims of sexual assault. This goes hand-in-hand since the "Sexual Assault Response Advocates" (SARA) building is directly next door to Classy Seconds. With above average customer service, a decent selection of items, and very affordable prices, I am giving "Classy Seconds Thrift Shop" an above average four-star rating.

I cannot do any kind of patchwork, stitching, sewing myself, so locating these ladies was a Godsend to me! Any time I need something sewn onto something wacky for my club, these ladies are right there to make sure it gets done rapidly and with perfection!
