Oh, The Galleria! My ex-husband is from Houston and I've…read morebeen to The Galleria many, many times. In fact, I started going long before I knew my husband. My dad also lived in Houston and we'd often do shopping or eating at the mall. My daughter (who is now 30) loved (& still does) skating at the ice rink during the holidays. It's a magically fun experience. The Galleria is always incredibly decorated for the holidays. I still get to Houston 1-2 times a year and always enjoy visiting The Galleria. The Galleria itself has not only the ice rink but office space, two hotels, lots of places to eat, and shopping. The retail offerings range from shops like H&M, Macy's, and Nordstrom to high-end luxury shops like Gucci & Chanel. We were there just a few months ago and it was just as fun and exciting as my first visit! Gang, there are so many stores here. Like crazy amounts (a few hundred). It's very large and easy to navigate and of course gets extremely busy during peak times. A must-visit for locals and tourists alike.

Shopping can be hit or miss, and on this particular day, it was definitely a miss. My friends and I…read moreare dedicated bargain shoppers, and despite our best efforts, the Houston Galleria wasn't giving up any deals. With only about an hour before leaving Houston, our shopping mission was more of a speed run than a leisurely browse. Even without scoring any purchases, the Houston Galleria remains an impressive destination. The moment you step inside, you experience bright lights, multiple levels of stores, and a steady stream of shoppers that create an energetic, bustling atmosphere. Beyond shopping, the mall offers entertainment options such as its iconic indoor ice-skating rink, making it easy to spend an entire day there. One of the Galleria's biggest strengths is its variety. Luxury retailers like Chanel and Louis Vuitton share space with more accessible brands such as Banana Republic and American Eagle, offering something for nearly every budget and style. Whether you're on a focused shopping mission or simply window-shopping, there's plenty to explore...even if, in our case, we left empty-handed. The dining options are equally diverse, ranging from food-court favorites to sit-down restaurants like The Cheesecake Factory and Shake Shack to Chic-fil-a. While we didn't find the bargains we were hoping for, our fast-and-furious shopping adventure was filled with laughter and great conversation, and the kind of fun that comes from spending time with good friends. Sometimes spending quality time with friends is the best find of all.

Its floor-to-ceiling glass walls fill the interior with natural light, creating an open, spacious feel. As you walk through the convention center, there is a steady flow of activity...professionals wearing badges and networking, vendors showcasing their products, and visitors moving quickly along the walkways. It is the kind of place where you can sense the importance of an event before you even reach their area of the convention center. The convention center was strategically right across the street from our hotel. My friends and I decided to attend a women's body building conference at George R. Brown convention center. We have all toyed with the idea of participating in a bodybuilding contest. Then you think about the strict clean eating, intense workout routines and the number of supplements you dump into body, then you press the pause button. We found our way into the arena where the women's bodybuilding contest was taking place. The room was filled with anticipation, admiration, and respect. When the athletes stepped on stage, the entire space seemed to zero in on them...their massively lean bodies, muscle definition and their practiced poses. While we watched with admiration, none of us committed to pull the trigger on body building. The George R. Brown Convention Center provided the perfect backdrop to explore the possibility of bodybuilding. In addition, we perused the vendors present associated with fitness. It is always a part of growing as an individual when explore new possibilities.

It's in the top ten by sq ft in the US, but that long hallway seems to go on forever and forever. I was here for a convention (duh) and everything was in one general area. There were lots of escalators to move between floors, and lots of hotels and restaurants around to accommodate the crowd. Very well done. Bathrooms were kept clean but they could use an update with some barriers and some spacing. There were lots of water filling stations and the staff kept up with refilling things like coffee and drinks they were providing. Lunch provided in the convention hall was done well. It was "lunch" fare for sure with sandwiches and salads and stuff like that, but they kept everything organized in feeding a bunch of attendees. I ate at both Pappadeux's and Saltgrass which are connected to the Convention Center and both were excellent choices.

I mean my pocket book is probably better for it because I want to buy the whole store but honestly I've been missing out. The place is cute and welcoming from the corner sign on the building to the moment you step in- bright, inviting, great displays so you know where to go. You can't get lost in here with the signage, but you can't definitely get lost in the aisles with all the great, unique choices. The ready food display has so many Mediterranean treats, some I've had before some I've never heard of and everything I tried was amazing. We got the cabbage rolls and Armenian veggie dolmas. Great flavor, both specific items I haven't had before. Nice citrus, spiced flavor to these. I'd say they're have to try items. Not only found jarred tomato paste, which I've been on the hunt for but they had choices in this category and that's another first for me. Will have to go back and try the others. Also got the cured Serrano ham -amazing. And I thought the prices were going to be insane having a spot right in the middle of the city and nope- pleasantly surprised for my goodies, great prices even less than some of the other stores I frequent in the suburbs. I'll be back again and again and again until I try the whole store lol. Definitely give them a try, you won't regret it

Perfectly seasoned, crispy exterior. The sweet potato fries were equally delicious. I got the Hill Country salad. Same tender but crispy chicken on a bed of greens with berries. So good. Definitely bookmarked as a return option.
