I have never had a problem getting my kids in on short notice, and she has been there for us countless times after hours when we had questions. Her staff is wonderful, though we tend to have the last appointment of the day when everyone is ready to go home, so I can't fault them for the occasional edginess - they always treat my children well, and that's what matters. Even Patty the receptionist has grown on us! Just treat her the way you would like to be treated, and things will be golden! :)

She let me know that she sees a lot of people and doesn't have the time to find out what my symptoms are from. She did not perform an exam or ask me hardly any questions. She couldn't have cared less and was extremely condescending. It's heartbreaking to be in so much pain and pay for that type of experience. I was in the room for under 5 minutes proscribed something that she changed several times and sent on my way to figure it out.

As a health care provider, mental health advocate, and mother I am completely distraught and…read moreoffended about my family's experience today with Dr. Garofalo for my daughter's 6 month well child appointment to establish care. My husband and I had both previously seen Dr. Poling as our primary care and had great experiences, so I was excited to transfer my daughter's care to Link as well. However, my husband was met with criticism and skepticism regarding our childcare choices and I was completely shocked to hear that the Doctor noted my Bipolar Disorder and in the same breath asked if I was "living in the home" despite the fact that I am listed as the primary contact, and am the primary prescriber for our family's insurance plan, and signed that I was in fact the one preparing new patient paperwork. Because my husband was the one to take my daughter to the appointment, it was assumed I was an incompetent and uninvolved parent due to my psychiatric disability. This is blatant sexism and ableism, and I am dismayed that a provider that claims "he is skilled at addressing mental health" (as noted in his bio on the Link website) would perpetuate this type of stigma. I'm curious if he asks every mother that attends her children's appointment alone if their father is in the picture, or if he himself has attended every single doctor's appointment, school and sporting event in his children's lifetime. I absolutely loved Dr. Poling (she is the only reason I'm not rating as one star) but I am not comfortable having myself and my family treated in a clinic at which this provider practices. Dr. Garofalo's behavior and clear biases against working mothers and those living with mental illness is antithetical to Link's statement that "We practice medicine with a philosophy that centers the patient's values and experience, and pursues racial and social health justice." I truly hope Dr. Garofalo will reconsider how he interacts with patients and do some true introspective work regarding his biases.

A lady at the front desk said your appointment is upstairs, so I went upstairs. There are 2 front desk person check in. One is on the computer and the other one had me put my son name down and call us. I wait for couple minutes and he called me up. Your appointment is at 2:40 but I check you in right now it showed on my computer is 2:45. You were late for your appointment and I have to put you stand by. And said Seamar just changed the rule no more 15 minutes grade period. Then I when down stair made a complaint, a lady at the front desk had me to wait and try to solve the problem. Finally she told me went back up stair and they will see my son right away. I went upstairs waiting and waiting, and I even heard they spoke in Spanish and look at me. I knew they talked something about me. And they kept me waiting they even called people came in late first to go in. I went up and ask he just said they don't have room to call my son in, but they called different patient to go. I am very disappointed, I never have that kind of issue with them because since my first one was born and is the patient there for 15 years and my second. I feel very discriminated. I have no problem with my both son's primary care doctor.

They've always been very accommodating. With the recent retirement of Dr. Betteridge I now see Dr. McNaughton exclusively, and will continue seeing him as long as possible.
