I must admit, I had no idea where Lorenzo's was in Amsterdam. However, I have been told by many…read morethat I should give it a go. Thank goodness for car navigators as I would be lost haha. I called late afternoon same day for an early dinner reservation as I had a hankering for something good. They were able to accommodate so off I went. When I arrived I did not know what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised by the large casual establishment. I was seated immediately by a very warm and friendly server, and given menus to look over. I was torn over so many starters that I decided to have them as a meal along with their well known pizza. I ordered the calamari fritti, the eggplant stack the Italian nachos and a wood fired Margherita pizza. While I waited, I was given some good bread as well as some tomato pie and it was all so tasty. The portions here are generous and I had to take a good amount home. No complaints here though as it was all delish. I can only imagine how good my leftovers will be next day. This eatery is solid and what a nice place for some good Italian food!
