Shortly after, I received very different messaging by text including a dismissive tone and a completely different narrative. Policies changing is fine. Inconsistency, poor communication, and condescension are not. This interaction left a bad taste in my mouth and an immediate ick. I'm sharing this so others can make informed decisions. The workouts they write are challenging and different and you never know what to expect. Each day is a different target area (mondays and thursdays lower, Tuesday and fridays upper, Wednesday and Saturdays total body/cardio) with a mixture of strength and power training. I never thought I had the strength or willpower to weight train and the trainers here pushed me to see great results. They are constantly doing things outside the box to keep things entertaining. 1 Star - Avoid Club Pilates (17th Street, Fort Lauderdale)…read more I wish someone had warned me before I invested my time and money here. The biggest problem is their cancellation process. This location serves many yacht crew members and seasonal workers who typically stay in Florida for only about six months. Instead of allowing customers to cancel without hassle, they pressure you to keep paying the $25 monthly membership hold fee so you don't "lose your spot." I had no intention of returning, so I clearly requested to cancel my membership. At the time, they confirmed that my cancellation had been processed. Then, about a month later, the nightmare began. I started receiving phone calls and emails claiming that I owed money because, according to them, I had never requested cancellation. Even after I provided proof that I had canceled, they continued adding more months of charges to my account. I even offered to pay one additional month just to resolve the situation and be left alone. Shockingly, the representative told me they could not guarantee that the billing would stop even if I paid. That is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, during my time at Club Pilates I developed significant pain in one of my legs. I am now in physical therapy, where I was diagnosed with an injury consistent with improper movement mechanics. One of the biggest issues with the classes is that instructors often give verbal instructions to the entire class without adequately correcting each person's posture or form. Pilates requires proper alignment, and without sufficient supervision, injuries can happen. Between the aggressive billing practices, the endless collection attempts after cancellation, and my negative physical experience, I cannot recommend this studio. If you're considering joining, be sure to fully understand the cancellation policy before signing anything. My experience has been extremely frustrating, and I genuinely wish I had been warned beforehand.

The format is essentially group personal training. The trainers are actively coaching you one-on-one during every session, correcting your form, pushing you, and celebrating every milestone along the way, all at a fraction of the cost of traditional personal training. The coaching staff is truly top notch, knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely invested in your progress. You feel that every single time you walk through the door. The community here is amazing. Members and trainers go out of their way to make you feel welcome, encourage you, and celebrate your successes. There are regular social gatherings, pickleball events, and activities outside the gym that keep things fun well beyond the workouts. If you're new to South Florida and looking for a way to meet great people, BFT is the place. Three years in and I still look forward to every session. That says it all.

It wasn't intimidating or cold like many other gyms I've tried in South Florida. The equipments and machines were available for use without wait time. The place also seemed to be kept clean and maintained. Multiple equipment/machines, have been broken going on 2 years, yet it is still in use, it is acknowledged that it is broken, but yet has never been fixed. Quote "Its on the list". Operates the club with 1 person at times, santitary station out of supplies, mens room is a mess. But then other times you have 3-4 people on staff, including manager and still sanitary stations not stocked. So if you want a job where you just stand there and get paid wearing a black shirt, this is the place to be. 3 staff members stand out as exceptional, Nicole (she returned and is the best), Miranda and Malic also customer service orientated. I also was not aware that the Handicap parking was reserved for the Manager with the leg tattoo, who frequently parks there.
