I came looking for athletic shoes. I didn't need anything specific, because I'm not a "runner" in the normal sense of the word. I'm more like an avid walker and every day elliptical user, so I am definitely active, but I don't put as much stress on my feet and joints as actual runners. Nevertheless, I came looking for athletic shoes and I found an abundance here. They have a large women's running shoe section, and this is the kind of place where they will size your feet and watch you as you walk and run around the store to see if the shoes are working on your feet the way they should. When I visited, it was a little crowded, so I had to wait a bit to talk to someone. But the people I talked to were knowledgeable and friendly. This is a great place to visit in Carmel if you're looking for running shoes and want to try them on in person.

I was greeted as soon as I hit the door. Which is always good if the store is busy or not. I wish I had remembered the guys name. I initially came in to pick up an online order for some everyday jogging training. I was immediately asked if I'd like to try them on and assisted with it. The guy who helped me was knowledgeable and answered all my inquiries about other brands and styles of shoes. Specifically for race day. In my opinion, this is the best location because, more than likely, this location will have the latest product and colorway stocked!

I recently took up daily walking and found that the types of tennies I've relied on for years just won't work. I wear a 10.5 wide and my left foot over pronates so I assumed I was doomed to ugly tennis shoes only available online but I figured I would give Runners Forum a chance. To be clear, I'm not a runner, and I was nervous to go in here because I'm a big gal and was worried I'd have one of those Pretty Women moments where they say "We don't have anything for you!", but I couldn't succumb to the ugly online shoes without trying, so I sucked it up and walked in. I was immediately greeted and was offered help. I explained my plight and she said she'd take a look in the back for something that would help. After a few minutes, I was brought two different options and a promise of more if needed. The first pair I tried on was a slam dunk but did my due diligence on trying on a different pair. In the end I bought a pair of shoes (that weren't ugly!) along with a couple pairs of socks, and I had a great and friendly experience where I get welcomed, and i will definitely be back.

A great selection of socks, men's and women's running shoes

Starting my running journey and I knew I needed to come here after other reviews to get professionally fitted. I was greeted, Sherry watched me walk and run and analyzed my gait, and recommended a few different types of shoes based off my needs and feet. I tried them all on and compared each, finally picking some cool and funky, but super comfy running shoes. She recommended better socks than I was wearing to avoid blisters and I was on my way! It was quick and easy, but I felt heard and am excited to keep running! Thanks Runners Forum for a great experience, I'll be back for my next pair!

Shows I loved so much I will wear a clean pair on stage for all my stand up comedy shows !

I was a little intimidated at first because I'd never had a gait analysis before so I didn't know what to expect.

Looking up purchase on credit card was not offered. No exchange was offered. The item still had tags on it. Clerk did not treat us with much respect. How incredible! Word on the street is that they had a lot of extra shirts and wanting to partner in helping the community. How wonderful! We ordered two of the $10 shirts mentioned above, and part of the promo was that you'd be sent the Indy shirt in a random color. It was a fun surprise to open the box and see what colors we were sent. My husband's is light green and mine is an army green (what I would've chosen anyways). We're reppin' them constantly during quarantine and they're super comfy. While in quarantine, you can order from their website and find items ranging from different college, local sports team, and local events themed memorabilia in the form of shirts, hats, glasses, etc. You can find something for any person in your life and I love the move to promote so much local. When not in quarantine, you can also head into their shop in Clay Terrace in Carmel or Broad Ripple. I've been to this Carmel location around the holidays and loved the vibe in there.

I'm excited to see Athletic Annex has opened a location in Clay Terrace!…read more I first visited the Nora location a few years ago for a gait analysis and fitting and had a great experience. I've been loyal to the Asics Gel Nimbus for a few years, until the brand changed the style of the shoe into more of a Hoka. So, it was time to go back to Athletic Annex and find something new. Depending on the day of the week and time of day, you may be helped immediately or need to wait a bit. I was greeted by an employee who had me step on the foot analysis machine and walk on the treadmill to analyze my gait. They had just received new AI technology. She went over the results and pulled a number of shoes for me to try. Athletic Annex sells all the top brands -- Hoka, Brooks, On Clouds, Asics, New Balance, etc. I think it's well worth it to come to a running store like this (even if you're not a runner, like me) to see what is going to be best for you and your feet. My only comment is I was hoping for the sales associate to be more knowledgeable about the shoes and guide me through the process a bit more. For example: what made her select those shoes for me to try, what are the differences, what should I notice when walking in them around the store, etc. Personal preference on what I'm looking for in my shoe buying experience!

Debbie waited on me today. She was friendly and helpful. I pick up my GOODR glasses here. They have a wonderful selection of colors and the prices are reasonable. They also carry hard to find items, such as running gloves. They currently have a few Carmel Marathon shirts for the upcoming race. If you get on their email list, they will send you information on special sales and events. They do not overburden you with emails. Parking is a bear in front of the store in Clay Terrace. Parking in the back is a little easier.

I wanted to order a jacket in a 4 and Lauren would not match the online price to the price Lulu had in the store. I did not appreciate how she responded to the error the first check out girl did. And she did not offer to do anything to make a bad situation better. Very poor customer service in my opinion by Lauren who needs more training and emotional intelligence. The lululemon at Clay Terrace is nothing to praise. I rarely visit this store as the management does not care about employees at all. They are almost rude and don't have a high level of customer service at all. The Keystone one is way better. No wonder Lulu is losing so many customers to Alo and Vuori and Athleta as the customer service is better. This one at Clay Terrace is not ideal. I'd go to Keystone.
