It's so much easier to try on shoes in person versus ordering online. Depending on the brand and style shoe, I can be a size 9, 9.5, 10 or 10.5. Whether I'm looking for a casual white sneaker, a fashionable sandal, or a simple pair of black dress shoes, there are always options to explore at DSW - and at reasonable price points. There are often sales, and you can sign up for their DSW Rewards program. I'm also typically able to find my shoe size in the styles I'm browsing, too. While a self try-on shoe store could easily be a mess, the aisles are typically clean and clear. All around, a good experience here at DSW!

DSW Shoe Warehouse has always been my favorite shoe store and go to place for shoes. They have a great selection of designer shoes, and the price is right for what you pay for. I always go to the clearance rack first in the men's department to see if I can snag some great deals. This Labor day weekend they did have some great deals. I found a pair of New Balance tennis shoes for 30% off and I found a pair of dress shoes for 40% off. The value you get for your shoes is magnificent! The service is good from the staff. They are willing to help you find a particular brand of shoes in your size if it is not out on the display floor. They do go the extra mile for you if you need something. DSW is a fantastic shoe store for shoes and I would not go anywhere else for shoes because it is just that great of a place to shop for shoes. Check out DSW for your next pair of shoes. I've been loyal to the Asics Gel Nimbus for a few years, until the brand changed the style of the shoe into more of a Hoka. So, it was time to go back to Athletic Annex and find something new. Depending on the day of the week and time of day, you may be helped immediately or need to wait a bit. I was greeted by an employee who had me step on the foot analysis machine and walk on the treadmill to analyze my gait. They had just received new AI technology. She went over the results and pulled a number of shoes for me to try. Athletic Annex sells all the top brands -- Hoka, Brooks, On Clouds, Asics, New Balance, etc. I think it's well worth it to come to a running store like this (even if you're not a runner, like me) to see what is going to be best for you and your feet. My only comment is I was hoping for the sales associate to be more knowledgeable about the shoes and guide me through the process a bit more. For example: what made her select those shoes for me to try, what are the differences, what should I notice when walking in them around the store, etc. Personal preference on what I'm looking for in my shoe buying experience!

For each shoe, he explained the core benefits and differences between each so I knew what to pay attention to as I walked around the store. He was supremely helpful and knowledgeable. I had a very weird experience at Dicks yesterday. I went in to return items purchased online. I had…read moreproof of purchase in the form of a barcode label attached to the original packaging and a record of the purchase on the Dicks app. I was told that because I paid using PayPal the refund could only be made using a Dicks gift card. PayPal is of course the most prominent payment option on the Dicks app. Furthermore the store manager informed me that I should never use payment methods like PayPal or Apple Pay on the Dicks app. This didn't sound right to me so I left the store and started an online return, returning the goods by mail. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience.

One of the pairs, my Footjoy Classics Spikeless, stopped being produced in 2009 so I wasn't sure how difficult of a project this might be for Mike. Turns out they look better than they did when they were new! More support, better constructed, and they look brand new. Mike took a pair of shoes that were literally falling apart and brought them back to life, even better than before. These Footjoys look better than anything Footjoy sells these days! Mike did such a great job that I dropped off another pair when I picked up my last 2 pair.
