The other was last week when she hired him to remove a dead ash that was threatening our home. Both times he did the job properly but was rude in the process. On this occasion, we spoke with him by phone about his plans to go all the way across our property and onto our driveway in order to remove the debris. He reluctantly agreed to take the shorter route on our neighbor's property, but when he arrived he started to set up in front of our house. It took several attempts and the threat to deny permission to access our property before he finally became civil and did as we asked. The tree which was very tall and difficult to remove came down with only a little damage to our oak, but Josh never acknowledged or apologized for his rude behavior. The trees and plants that were *supposed* to be there were overgrown, unhealthy, and we're even growing into the sidewalk so our neighbors were also impacted! Lyle and his team spent two days removing, spraying, trimming, pruning, yanking, cutting, and sweating to help get my yard not only as free as possible of invasive species, but looking quite nice! Of course when landscaping gets so neglected, the recovery process is going to be several seasons, but this is a great start. Lyle and Tom were extremely knowledgeable, educated me on the plants I have and how to maintain them myself as much as possible, were able to recommend native plants to replace some of the invasives with (other are just pests and need to go), and were communicative and up front about schedule, cost, and what was possible. If we could give this company negative stars we would. The owner is the most arrogant, aggressive…read moreand dishonest person we have ever delt with in business our entire lives! They try to scam you out of thousands! The markup he tried to rip us off on for a door was almost double than what we were able to get at Home Depot. We ended up suing him in small claims court and we won our money back thank God. Word of advice....DO NOT SIGN ANY PAPERWORK until you read the tiny fine print word for word on the back!!! This is where they try to catch you! They will try to push you to say it's just a work order to "get the process started".....it's not, it's their binding contract. The sales guy was extremely misleading with false promises and assured us we couldn't find a better price and pressured us for a deposit just to "hold" the work order as it's just standard protocol. He did not go over any of the fine print with us. You can't take anyone's word anymore...big lesson learned for us. After we checked around, and realized the deceit, we confronted them about the HUGE gap in price. Instead of trying to work with us and come to a middle ground, the owner proceeded to become loud, defensive and hostile. He conveniently ignored our official requests to cancel and get our deposit back. He straight up LIED about everything and changed the story to his benefit. Well the courts delivered his karma right back at him. This man does not give one damn about the customer. Shameful! Don't walk...Run. So many other ethical businesses out there to support other than this greedy con artist.
