I love Wild Dave's! They peddle a little bit of everything but mainly quality mowers to utility…read moretrailers. You can even rent yourself a storage unit onsite. Hell even pick yourself up a designer wrist watch at a very fair price. They also do small engine repair. Everything they do with utmost professionalism. Inventory is usually well stocked and they do finance if you want to pick up a new Gravely for those big lawns out there. This family is the pinnacle of good people, and I applaud them pulling their sponsorship of the Du Quoin State Fair. The state of Illinois is run by fascists and it is high time we ALL started standing up to their bullshit.

I would include that, but I'd be careful about saying the hours "aren't right" as a fact unless…read moreyou've actually verified that. You can say you now have concerns about whether the hour meter accurately reflects the mower's use. I'd also make the lost time and lack of trust very clear. Review I'm extremely disappointed with my experience purchasing a used mower from Wild Dave's. I understand that used equipment is sold as-is, and I accepted that when I purchased it. What I did not expect was to be told that there was nothing wrong with the mower, that it was ready to mow, and that it had recently been used multiple times by the business. I have those statements in writing. The mower did start while I was there, which is why I felt comfortable purchasing it. Once I got it home, however, it would not start again. Since then, we have spent a significant amount of our time trying to figure out what is wrong with it. We are in the process of moving into our new house, and instead of being able to spend this time getting settled, we have spent our time working on a mower that we were told was ready to go. The more we look at it, the more concerned we become about how long this mower actually sat unused. It shows signs that make it appear to have been sitting outside and not run in quite some time, which does not line up with what we were told about it being recently used and having nothing wrong with it. I was told, "It's a nice one," and made a $2,000 purchase based on the information I was given. At this point, I also have concerns about whether the hours on the mower accurately reflect its actual use, although I cannot say that for certain. What has bothered me most is the lack of trust. I would have been much more understanding if I had been told upfront that the mower had been sitting, that it had an issue, or that they could not guarantee its condition. Instead, I was given the impression that it was a good, working mower that was ready to use. I'm also being asked to pay for them to come pick it up. Given the circumstances, I do not feel that expense should fall on me when I purchased the mower based on representations about its condition that now appear questionable. At this point, I would not even feel comfortable having this business attempt to fix the mower because the more we inspect it, the less confidence I have in the information we were given about its condition in the first place. I have family members who have purchased brand-new equipment from this business and previously recommended them to me. Unfortunately, this experience has completely changed my opinion. Based on the lack of trust this situation has created, I would not purchase from this business again, even if I were buying new equipment. $2,000 is a significant purchase for my family. I don't expect a used mower to be perfect, but I do expect a business to be honest about what it is selling. If I had been given an accurate description of this mower's condition, I could have made an informed decision. Instead, I made the purchase based on what I was told, and I now deeply regret it.
