Even crazier is that this place sold vegan pizza! Other than that the store has a lot of great practical finds. The grocery prices are not too bad either compared to other co-ops. The dining section is very clean and well maintained. Staff here is also really friendly and helpful as well. I do think that the store facade let alone a whole strip mall needs to be updated. Neighborhood Co-Op is one of those places you can become a member at and get discounts and other things. Maybe the prices are kind of high, but there's a lot of harder to find items. There's a lot in here for plant based eating, as well as for those wanting to eat healthier, and local. Came to get a few things while on a visit and got more than expected. It's bigger than it looks. There's a lot of aisles, and has a good amount of baked goods, along with some pretty fresh produce. A lot of natural and organic items. They have a lot of the Applegate Farms products if you want organic meats and sausage. Of course there's plenty of plant based. They have non dairy items like nut milks and yogurts. In the bakery there was vegan zucchini bread. The prices in here are kind of high, but if you become a member you get coupons and specials. Has to be a stop if you're shopping for organics around here. It's located in the Murdale Shopping Center on West Main Street. There's a ton of things for vegans and vegetarians.

Schnucks is a pretty great place to find fresh vegetables and things like kiwi fruit, and other…read morefruits and veggies that you can't always find at Kroger. They both have nice employees. Schnucks is a bit more pricey for most of their other groceries. I try to shop at BOTH places, when I'm trying to eat more produce. The folks who work there are really nice, too. I feel like Kroger kinda stole their idea of peeling baby clementines and selling them in a bowl, but I think both stores have good food. They were selling salads (pre-made) at Kroger, near the front of the store but Schnucks has a "salad/ready to eat sandwich cooler" that is slightly bigger at Schnucks. It's kinda hard to "log in" for just browsing the stuff at both places, but at least the addresses are correct in the year 2026! There is a limited selection of bagged candy at Schnucks, in the aisle called "SNACKS" or something. It helps me get more healthy foods (probably) causing better health....good for fighting the cancer I'm battling, less fake sugar! And sorry, Aaliyah, but Schnucks closes at 10 pm now, just like Kroger! They seem nicer about getting you out of the store on time, rather than Kroger. A Kroger employee lady was rude to an old man with a cane/walker who made it around the store and found what he wanted. She basically told him to leave! SHE'S kind of freaky, and not in a great way. I needed to meet someone ASAP or I would've stood up for him... old dude just needed some FOOD! At Schnucks the other night, I didn't leave until 10:10pm! The self-check area seems to have nicer people at Schnucks, more kind and polite.

This store is definitely a lot larger than it appears. And the last dial I don't know if the freezers are brand new or is that a new area they may have acquired but they do have a lot of stuff that is in the freezers. Stores prices were actually pretty fair too and the staff was pretty friendly as well. Not the cleanest Place either since it feels a bit outdated but it's worth checking out for a hard to find food items especially if the grocery store next door doesn't have it.

I found aloe vera juice, spring roll wrappers, pho noodles, etc. You would never be able to find that at a Kroger's. The man who works here is very nice and accommodating. If there is something you need, he will try to get it for you (even if it's out of stock). The only downside is that they have no fresh seafood, but that is something I can live without. This place is heaven sent for people from other parts of the world!

They also have restrooms and a small seating area for the cafe that serves soups and sandwiches.
