One of my favorite parks in the area. I found it by accident as we were looking for a nature preserve and Google brought me here instead. It is huge! Basketball court, baseball, pickleball, pool, and lots of pathways to walk and bike. Never found the nature preserve but ended up coming here everyday on my trip to the area. read more

I love this park! It's HUGE! It has basketball courts, baseball fields and lots of events that bring the community together!

This park is A-OK especially when you have multiple things going on such as softball, a playground, and tennis. The path is beautiful if you just wanna go on a walk. There's a few restrooms available. Always keep in mind in a public park that maybe things won't work properly and it's always a good idea to carry hand sanitizer. There's plenty of parking in the parking lot surrounding this park. I do have to say I've seen the city trucks around so they are definitely tending to the park. I do recommend that you check it out. read more

My daughter was signed up to swim lessons & was unable to proceed with swim classes she was terrified to get in the water the teachers weren't welcoming at all for her to jump in the water and invite her instead they stared at her crying. I then requested a refund as this was rare for my daughter to not love to be in the water and I was refused based on "policies" rather than righteousness or fairness. Wont be going back. read more

Ladies bathroom on Auburn has no running water in the sink. Restrooms on Antelope require a combination to access them! What a HORRIBLE park! I was visiting from out of town and was horrified by the lack of cleanliness and inaccessibility. read more

Beautiful place. We attended the Mermaid Convention and we really enjoyed their swimming facility. They had separate swimming areas for different swim levels. Covered bleachers. Huge park- lots of parking. Also, there is a gym, a couple of private halls for parties/meetings. Would definitely come back. read more

I came here to work out in the morning as I like to run outside and treadmills are often a little boring for me. This park is full of so many different things- pickleball courts, baseball fields, tennis courts, skate park, pool, playground, picnic area, and huge open paths. The park is pretty well kept and I felt save running around the whole park. It is easily identified off of the street as there is a huge sign off of the street. The tennis courts definitely need some upkeep but the rest of the park is well kept. There are several different parking lots that you can park in that are open and easy to find. Definitely will stop by more! read more

I didn't have very high hopes coming to this park because compared to other parks it's kind of small. But it blew me away with all it had to offer and how much bigger it was in person than on a map. This park has SO much to do! There are two baseball fields, a skate park, a stream running through the edge of the park, plenty of grass area to run and play, a paved path running around the entire edge of the park, three parking lots, a covered and uncovered picnic area, a cool bridge, a World War II Memorial Rose Garden, a basketball court, two play areas and a pool! What more could you ask for? At about 10:00am on a Sunday morning there was only a few people at the park which was nice because my chihuahua had a bunch of space to run around and play by herself. Sure, there was a homeless person or two at the park but what park doesn't have homeless people? There was also a Park and Rec worker there too emptying trash and cleaning out the bathrooms. Cool! I really liked the paved path running around the edge of the park. It was nice to do a few laps around and see all the scenery! I will definitely be back to this park again because it's really convenient to get to (on Antelope Road where it meets Lauppe). A gem for the community! read more

Reserved the pavilion for my beautiful wedding in Sept 2018, had a great experience and would recommend for couples with a low budget. I wrote a thank you card to the office recently. Some of my details- if your curious- I dressed up the pavilion beams with white draperies. Had the ceremony under the large tree in front of the bridge. Took bridal party pictures on the other side of the park that is full of beautiful trees. I had lawn games near our area as well. read more

I was really hoping this park would be a bit better being that it is so close to my house and my little girl loves to go to the park. Unfortunately, the park has quite a down side. The grounds are a bit dirty and the strange drug deals in the parking lot def bring the place down. I'm not sure what is happening to the city of Citrus Heights but police should monitor the park closer. The park itself is beautiful. Historic oak trees give it a secluded feel. It's large grounds and paved trails make it attractive for dog lovers and joggers. The children's play ground is newer and has two separate areas for smaller and older kids. It needs improvement. read more

I haven't been to this park in years, but used to come here all the time for family picnics and get togethers. The park is huge, and has multiple parking lots to accommodate little league games, the skateboard park, etc. We attended the annual Pet-a-Palooza on a HOT summer day (110 degrees that day-whew!). The festival had a ton of dog related vendors, a food court area, a beer garden, a dog pool area for our pooches...tons of fun stuff. If it wasn't so hot out, we would have stayed longer than a couple hours. Both humans and dogs were in danger of getting heat stroke! But this park is a perfect place to have a festival this large. read more

We have been to this park for numerous get togethers for my BFF's nearby taekwondo school. We have been here for picnics, basketball games and, most importantly, the annual swim party. This park has lots of nice facilities like a gym, tennis courts and the very large pool. They also have playgrounds, bbq facilities and more that I am probably missing. This past Saturday was the annual swim party, where Robinson's TKD Citrus Heights rents out the entire pool area for three hours. We arrived early and allowed our kids to play on one of the playgrounds beforehand. It was kind of small and it didn't keep their attention for very long, but I did appreciate that it was mostly fenced in, so their ability to take off was hindered by the one entrance and exit. I will admit that the reviewer who mentioned the homeless issue is kind of right, as there was a group hanging out in the picnic area just adjascent to the playground, but they mostly kept to themselves. I also appreicate that the park has multiple bathroom facilities, although my husband said the ones out in the main part of the park were pretty messy. There had been some sort of event there that was just wrapping up, so that may have accounted for the mess. The pool is the real gem of this park. From my understanding renting it out for a party, with lifeguards on staff, is pretty reasonable. They even let us hold a potluck inside the pool area and offered to help us set up. The pool itself is really three seperate areas and is very large and clean. There is the main lap pool, then roped off is an area for small kids with zero entry and a large fountain. Seperate from both of those is an area with two small diving boards and one high dive. There is lots of shaded seating around the pools with both bleachers and grassy areas. The changing rooms and bathrooms inside the pool area were very clean and well stocked the entire time we were there. The lifeguards were all very friendly, even when enforcing the rules. I was on the swim team as a child and teenager, so I have seen a lot of pool facilities and this is among the best. Our two young children (almost 2 and 4) loved being able to enter and exit the pool on their own and were able to have some autonomy from mom and dad since there were portions of the pool that were shallow enough for them to walk around. We, of course, were always very closeby and also took them into the deeper areas, but they mostly wanted to take advantage of feeling like they were independent and could sit and stand as they pleased. read more

Nice park, my only complaint is that the pool isn't open for more hours during the summer. I would use that pool everyday if it was open early in the AM! As I'm sure many people would in the neighborhood :) city makes money, people are healthier. It's a win win! read more

This park seems to have a problem with homeless people. Other than that the park is really nice, three playgrounds, skate park, softball fields, BBQ areas, and a pool. There is a little river that runs through the park, which my dog enjoys playing in. read more

The homeless problem has gotten really bad here and has migrated over to Grand Oaks shopping center. It used to be a really nice park, but now it's just sketchy. Shootings homeless camping and a dead body are not my idea of a nice park. read more

Wonderful park, they hold a lot of events for the community at low or now cost. They have two areas with play structures. Bathrooms are decent, there are a good number of bums in the area so they could be worse. Basketball courts are neat and theres a good portion of covered area. You can easily throw birthdays or events here for low cost. Sometimes they have food truck events and those are cool. Baseball/softball fields are nice. read more

I love parks. And compared to many other areas of smilar size, Sac County has more than enough. And Rusch is one of the very nice ones that I did enjoy for how neat and bum-free it is. There is a cool skate/bike park and we thought there was also a botanican garden museum. But a worker told us that there has never been one in his 4 years working there. But I'm sure the park is older than that, if there ever was one present. Overall, not much unlike other area parks, a very wide open place with trees and a cute bridge over a little creek. Wow. Perfect park for kids and groups. Its well kept, has lots of shade and places to sit. A large group was taking formal pics on the bridge and another family was hosting a kids' birthday party with still plenty of open space to roam around. My 3 yr old loved that there were 2 playgrounds. Pools, tennis & basketball courts, skate park, grill picnic areas, covered Pavilion, running path, rose garden surrounding a WWII memorial.. very serene. read more

Wonderful wide open space. Swimming lessons in the summer have been the norm for us with our family. Pool staff is wonderful.

Great skate park. However, you have to go in the early morning if you don't want a crowd. Fills up pretty quick. Playground has dirt instead of bark or rubber. So...we try and stay away from the park. Otherwise there is a lot of stuff to do including a pool (which you pay for) and a community center with all kinds of activities. If you also like to just run around there is tons of space. read more

This park has something for everyone! In the summer the pool is open and it's normally busy but worth it none the less in the summer heat! The park has two different areas of kids play sets. There is paths along the park to walk or run if you like. Picnic areas covered on one side and open area picnic tables on the other side. Its a nice and clean park. I love the fact that theres alot of big trees to hang at but couple flaws are the sidewalks I'm 16 years old concerned about the oldies. I came to visit here and i saw a granny walking her dog and she suddenly trip on a sidewalk crack. I got an issue about the indoor gym tho why cant we play as a resident on this area. Over all it is a good park definitely going to go here more and more. read more

I take my son here all the time since we live so close. I came here to tell about the bums sitting all throughout the park and see that I'm not the only one. It's getting to be out of control. I don't know why the CHPD allows it to grow worse. They have the bikes with shopping carts now all along auburn to 80. read more
