This is a great place to get a bowl or smoothie between classes! Very close to campus and the portion size of the bowl is big enough to be a meal. I got the Oasis bowl with granola, honey, and strawberries on top and it was delicious! I ate the whole thing. The water on my lid is from the rain. My one gripe with this place is the prices. For $13 elsewhere I would get enough food for 2 meals. Hopefully they implement rotating deals and/ or a student discount. If that happens I'll come much more often! read more

I love Rush Bowls! I was able to try it for the first time only recently and I feel like I'm obsessed already. I love their peanut butter and jelly bowl! Their chocolate covered strawberry bowl is also really good. I'm a creature of habit so I usually just order the same thing every time but I'll try something new soon and update my review if it's worth sharing. Parking isn't the best in this area. I hate driving on Hillsborough to be honest. At least there is a small parking lot across the street near the Wings Over, as well as street parking usually. I love that they use fresh ingredients at Rush Bowls and that the staff is super sweet and helpful when I go in, especially with friends who have never had smoothie bowls before. I was seriously impressed by this place! The bowl I got was the Power Bowl, and it was so tasty I had to remind myself that it is actually healthy! These bowls (and smoothies) are so good on a hot summer day! Only bad thing is there is literally no parking. Zaxby's has lots of unused parking but it says if you park there you'll be towed. Not sure how true that is but I wasn't about to test it, so I managed to find an open parking spot near ihop and walked, but keep in mind that most of the street parking in that area is permit only. read more

I don't have much experience with fruit/smoothie bowls. But I enjoyed my experience at Rush bowls. I got the greens guru bowl .. I feel it was the perfect amount of sweetness without feeling overwhelmed. My favorite part of the bowl was the texture the cucumbers and coconut gave. It's nice to have some crunch with all the smoothie. It's a big portion size in my opinion.. I didn't finish it all. My poodle loved her pup bowl! She probably would have ate the paper packaging if she could have. I'd return - but try a different menu item - I wasn't blown away ... but still worth another try. read more

How I decided to come here for lunch: I woke up and Rush Bowls popped into my head. Yup. With an assortment of signatures, I found the CHOSEN ONE. The Peanut Butter & Jelly bowl (supposedly 478-523 Calories, but I'm hoping for more for how good it was) comes with Banana, Strawberry, Milk Choice, Frozen Yogurt (optional), Peanut Butter. Topped with: Organic Granola, Peanut Butter, Jelly, Honey. Keep in mind that they blend the fruits up with your choice of milk and yogurt, then all the toppings it comes with. They make their peanut butter from scratch, so I couldn't let this opportunity to try it go to waste. The PB was A1. This bowl is so good, you can consider myself eating this... along with another bowl for seconds and maybe this again for dessert.... don't judge. Bottom line: I highly doubt you'll not like anything from this small eatery. The prices are cheaper than Walmart! While you can choose a signature made bowl, you can also customize. read more

Rush Bowls has tons of healthy options specializing in bowls and smoothies based on yogurts, acai, fruits and other veggies! The fact that they don't use any added sugar was a big draw for us as this let the natural sweetness of the ingredients take center stage. Although they have some set bowls and smoothies, you can easily mix and match and customize to your preference. This may cater more to the post-workout crowd to grab a protein-enriched meal but fear not, this place is for everyone looking for a good wake-me-up-with-healthy-living kinda meal! I was back in the Triangle for work, and was in search of something to eat on a hot day! I am a huge fan of acai bowls, and I've had a hard time finding the right place in the area that reminds me of SoCal. I heard from fellow friends that Rush Bowl was a new place that opened, so I decided to stop by. It's right by NC State and it's not hard to miss! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by two girls and I started just looking at their menu. There are soo many options, which i love!! I am very picky, so it was great to see how you could customize and the different variations that were available. I got the paradise bowl - and it seriously tasted like little drops of heaven in your mouth. Trust me - I've been to so many places like this, and this bowl definitely tops it all!!! I finished the entire bowl, and was honestly debating on taking one to go. haha If you haven't stopped by everyone definitely should! Highly recommend this location of Rush Bowls! The place is clean, the staff is kind and efficient, and the smoothies are thick! What else could you need? I had the Sweet Heat (combination of strawberry, banana, mango, frozen yogurt, and cayenne - sounds weird, but it's really good) as a bowl, topped with granola, honey, and sliced strawberries. I gobbled down the whole thing in under 15 minutes! It was sweet and creamy, with a subtle kick at the end of each bite, from the cayenne. My boyfriend got the Jungle bowl. Both were a fair price and a large portion. We felt like we got our money's worth. Unlike some other smoothie bowl places, Rush Bowls fills the bowl to the top with smoothie and then adds toppings (instead of filling half the bowl with smoothie and relying on toppings to fill the rest). The young lady that took care of us was amazing even though she was alone she made sure each customer got the attention we deserved. I've been driving past Rush Bowls for quite a while so I was excited to finally stop in yesterday afternoon when I was craving a smoothie! The space is small and dark, but in a modern cool way and features lots of different options for smoothies and bowls (there's even one for your dog). I got the "Caught in the Rain" smoothie and was very happy with how fresh it tasted. There were actual shreds of coconut in it which was nice considering most people just use coconut flavored juice. Over rated & over priced. We ordered two different bowls & they tasted EXACTLY the same. You have to pay for fruit toppings. I've never seen this in any açaí fruit bowl place. Parking is a nightmare. There was no soap in the bathroom & the place could have been cleaner inside. I'd understand if it were busy, but they weren't. They were standing around doing nothing when we walked in. The torrential rain didn't stop me from checking out Rush Bowls Raleigh Grand Opening. I looked at the menu in advance and I knew that the Peanut Butter & Jelly Bowl had to be mine. I like that customers have non-dairy options to build their bowl. I especially love that I can add more toppings to my smoothie bowl. The Peanut Butter & Jelly Rush Bowl is made with bananas, strawberries, Milk Choice (mine was Almond Milk), Frozen Yogurt (optional) & Peanut Butter (I chose Almond Butter). The bowl is also topped with: Organic Granola, Peanut Butter, Strawberry Jelly, and Honey. I switched out the PB for Almond Butter and added chocolate chips & coconut. In addition to the PB&J Bowl I have also tried the Yoga Bowl, which is very unassuming but absolutely delicious. The only downside about the Rush Bowls location is that it's pretty far away from where I live but there's also very limited parking. If you are an NC State student, the small business is a perfect location, because it's likely walking distance from part of the campus. However, for someone that does not live on campus, parking can be a pain. read more

Today I went to rush bowls in Raleigh. I am a smoothie bowl expert and these were not it! They were basic smoothies as the base of the bowl (I could have made them better at home). With a tiny amount of toppings, 2oz of granola max. I added strawberries to the top and the gave me one strawberry cut (which costed an extra 85 cents). Definitely on the bottom of the list of smoothie bowl places. Not worth it! Save your money!! read more
