The BEST gym I've EVER been to!! Came here everyday during my vacation here in Jersey (from…read moreCalifornia) just because I knew they had everything I needed anytime I needed it. I was even able to get my local Jersey friends to sign up for a membership. Ernie and Paul were so incredibly nice and helpful (as were the rest of the staff I encountered). When my boyfriend and I finished our workout the first day, Ernie ran to his car to give us brochures and maps of things to do nearby and in Philly! So nice!! I don't know if it's just an east coast thing, but I have never seen a gym with a full movie cinema (no seats, just cardio machines while you watch). They even show new releases. This gym is VERY spacious with the biggest turf I've ever seen provided by a gym. They even have dumbbells that go along A WHOLE WALL of the gym all the way up to 125 lbs and 4 squat racks!! For the ladies new to the gym and little insecure about working out in front of people, there is a legit WOMEN'S GYM right when you enter the locker room area. It's a closed off area of the gym where you can work out and feel confident in doing so. Whole gym is constantly being cleaned and there are many stations that provide lemon-scented wipes with a trash bin under to keep everyone accountable of keeping their areas clean :) Men's and women's sauna rooms are separate (inside locker rooms) and have a flatscreen TV in both. Edge Fitness is really one of the main reasons I'll miss it here! Thank you Edge!!

The sauna would be so much more relaxing without HGTV playing constantly. I feel like there should…read morebe a choice if you want to listen to it or not. It's okay

I waited a while before writing a review. I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt…read more.. Pros: -Open 24/7 -Lots of parking -Lockers -Clean, but not always sanitary looking. -Nice staff Cons: -No stairmaster -No TRX -No aerobic steps -No pylometric (jumping) boxes -No rowing machines -No lying leg curl machines -Terrible ellipticals -Gym matts with no sort of traction. I literally slide off sometimes. -The "room" with the mats is dark, barely any mirrors, and too small for more than 6 people -No kettle balls -The TVs are too far away for us myopic people (nearsighted vision) -The lockers are shaped weird. My gym bag won't fit unless I stuff it or invert it. Not fun if you have fragile things you don't want crushed. -The 4-way cable upper body cable machines were designed for tall men. I am short and I literally have to stand on the seat to reach the bars and sit down. I've used similar equipment in other gyms and I only ever had to tip toe. -The cable machines aren't labeled by weight, it's just 1, 2, 3... I'm suppose to assume? -Due to limited equipment, you'll find yourself waiting for equipment that other people hoard as they do several sets of exercises. It's rather annoying, but apparently I'm not allowed to "judge," right Planet Fitness? This franchise is literally a no frills kind of gym. I've paid $10 more (than the black card membership) in another gym in Chicago, and there was way more benefits (i.e. swimming pool, basketball court, pilates and yoga classes, kettle balls, daycare, separate studio rooms with mirrors and equipment galore, TRX, indoor rock climb, plenty of experienced trainers training clients and complimentary towels). Granted this is south jersey. Just for reference, I've also been a member at Virtua Health and Wellness Center, and this PF is not up to par :( The staff claimed there was a gym trainer. I see her here and there, but I have never seen her train a person. I rarely see any of the staff step out of the front desk to interact with customers. Not sure if they are shy or what not; but they seem nice for the most part. No one asks for any sort of feedback on how to improve the gym. Also, there's a noticeable atmosphere difference in south jersey from Chicago. In Chicago I felt way more motivated. There was an equal amount of men and women using equipment. I rarely see any ladies use resistance machines, just a lot of cardio bunnies. I know there are people in this gym who would LOVE to have one session with an experienced trainer to motivate them to step out of that cardio fence. Sometimes, some people need a little guidance, but there is no such guidance in this gym. Look elsewhere! It's not an absolutely terrible gym. I just get bored easily because it's very small and there really isn't a variety of equipment. The only real saving graces for this place is that it's open 24/7, its location and price. Since it's a franchise, I'm not sure if the owners/investors care to improve it.

Visited today, Monday June, 8, and about 2:30 the gym was overun by about 50-75 teenagers, to the…read morepoint of feeling uncomfortable. They are loud and immature and congregate in the locker room and around all the weights and weight machines cell phones in hand. I felt like I was a chaperone at a middle school dance. On the way out I asked if all these teenagers are paying members and the employee said no, planet fitness lets them use the facilities without paying to the end of summer. (How fair is that for a full fee paying member, having to babysit someone else's kids?). If you are looking for an exercise venue I would advise spending the little extra to find a quality gym. Only adding 1 star because I have to.

Bodyblast personal training…read more I have been with the gym for about 3weeks. The gym experience, all around has been great. The Coaches and trainer have taken the time to explain and guide you at every step. The gym availability is great for busy people.I would recommend any one who needs to make a life change and the accountability aspect to come see them. They are all so warm and welcoming.

I signed up for BodyBlast twice when it was housed in Weston Fitness, and both times I had a…read morefantastic experience. The program includes nutrition counseling, a meal plan, and personal training, all tailored to specific goals. From what I've seen of other programs, BB is unique in that at no point will you be told, "You're a female, so you shouldn't ____," and the training is not All BOSU All The Time. There's some real weight, valuable weight training from trainers who have actually studied how the body works and didn't just download a certificate from the internet. My first time with BB, because I was interested in fat loss I was given a high protein-low carb diet, and because I was interested in limiting my intake of animal protein Stephen offered a modified vegan plan. Then I was matched with a trainer who made me feel 100% comfortable as a gym newbie, and who showed me a lot of useful exercises including how to properly perform a squat. He also let me know plenty of times that it was OK if I had one cheat meal per week and didn't lecture when I told him it was pizza. I didn't start seeing real results until much later in that year, when I was long off the official program and began treatment for hypothyroidism and PCOS, but I took what I learned from them - especially the importance of form - and it changed my body in surprising ways. I was the fat kid growing up, so to be told I "looked athletic" and "looked like I worked out" was shocking. A couple of years later, I decided I wanted to start lifting heavy and went back for more. This time, I told Stephen I wanted to learn deadlifts and barbell squats, and he immediately pointed to a trainer who was excited about training a girl to lift heavy things. This trainer showed me a lot of good strength exercises, got me on a 5x5 program, and maniacally laughed as he loaded up weights for me. I saw incredible results in a short time - both in strength gain and fat loss. For a number of reasons that have nothing to do with BB, I've had a tough time maintaining a routine for a couple of years, but I'm back in action these days and still keeping in mind the things that BB taught me: lift heavy, lift properly, eat protein, watch the carbs, keep it up. I may not be a stunning before and after montage - and I may never be - but this program truly did change my life.
