Good moving experience. I have moved a lot and this experience was far above others. It was pouring rain but they didn't complain and all of my belongings were loaded and transported safely. They arrived a little late due to truck problems but when they did arrive they worked efficiently. They wrapped and padded everything. The three guys were friendly and they were very organized. Here's the owner reply to my review and currently after my review I have received barrages of PRIVATE and UNKNOWN phone calls. Similar to others customers who have also written subpar reviews. It's unfortunate you were not happy with the bill. Your estimate was for 10 hrs at $1,815. It took 12 hrs at $2,035. Your wife also had us move furniture 3-4 times cause she didn't no were to place anything. We did not damaged any furniture!! Your piano was delivered without any damage regardless what door they used. There was a long walk on the unloading portion of move. Your wife call to complain that the movers were not move fast enough for you. Also its was 105 degrees outside and 125 degrees it the back of the truck. Yes the heat tends to slow things down we are human. Lamp can be screwed back together. Your wife never told us that 2 lamps were broken or we would have replaced. You didn't even give us a chance to replace the lamps or fix them. The stain on mattress was not done by a footprint. This is why are people don't move up. Its unfortunate you were not happy, but I thing 1 star reviews was not a honest review. read more

In August our move was from Pittsburgh to New Jersey and the drop off was to a house and a storage unit. I could not believe how quickly they packed up our very disorganized 3 bedroom home, all while taking special care to wrap and pad and protect our furniture, paintings, and mirrors. This time around we decided we needed help very last minute. I called less than 24 hours before we needed to move. Thankfully they were able to help us! We even got a 5% off discount for being a repeat customer. This time we had 2 pickup locations and were moving just north of Philadelphia. Again we had a wonderful experience. Everything was packed quickly and carefully transported to our new home. We had an incredibly heavy sleeper sofa that they carried up a narrow row home stairway. They even took apart a dresser of ours to make it fit over our banister and up the stairs. Damaged furniture . I said I was unhappy they tried to argue that they didn't do it, when I sent photos they claimed it was "IKEA" type furniture (it wasn't). Got so argumentative I had to block his phone number. While they moved us I have truly never seen mover work so slow. Caught they sitting in our furniture, talking in groups outside, talking about the most inappropriate topics (thankful my children were not home). Quoted us for a 600 dollar job and it ended up being close to 1300! They robbed us. Try anyone other then these people. Buyer beware!!!! read more

Crew was very friendly, showed up on time and got the move done in exactly 2 hours (largely due to the fact that I was very well organized and most of my furniture was still shrink-wrapped from my prior move less than a year ago). So why only 2 stars, you may ask? Because unbeknownst to me, one of the movers brought a cup of coffee into my home, set it down on a shelf and it got knocked all over the new carpet in my guest room! I had an excellent experience with this company during a long distance move. My family and I moved the contents of a five bedroom house + basement from Wiliamstown, NJ to a storage unit 900m miles away in Palm Coast, Florida with no problems at all. From a cost perspective, this company was very reasonable. This was a large move across a long distance, and the price they quoted was actually markedly less then the other quotes we received. Importantly, this was a flat rate quote, so we knew exactly what the cost would be ahead of time, and there were no surprises. They accepted multiple forms of payment, and requested a deposit before the move, a payment when they left with the truck, and a final payment after completion of the move. Overall they made it very easy and I never felt like anything sketchy was going on. Everything was very above-board. They were extremely prompt. They called ahead the night before the move to verify the morning move, called about 30 minutes prior to arrival in the morning, and then showed up right on time. At the destination in Florida, they again called the evening before, and then showed up at the exact time that they quoted. Punctuality can be critical in long distance moves, and these guys were on the ball. They also worked extremely hard. They were there for a good 9 hours during the loading, and about 4 for the offloading, and at no point did I ever feel that any one was slacking off. Their ability to maximize space in the truck was impressive - they economized all available room in a very economical manner. Finally, each team member was very pleasant. It was surprisingly enjoyable to have them around for the extended move. Everyone was both personable and professional. I had the opportunity of using Rush Hour Moving on September 30th 2019. From the very beginning communication with the owner was Superb. He was able to answer all of my questions and gave me a extraordinary price regarding my upcoming move . The only complaint that I have is the arrival time of the movers . I was given a window of time for them to arrive, but unfortunately they were an hour and 25 mins late due to another move . I was getting nervous not knowing if they were going to show up and decided to call/ email. I'd recommended to the company that if ever arriving later then the allotted time to give the customer a call for courtesy. The movers did finally arrive all four of them and were able to move me out in an hour . The gentlemen were all friendly and extremely careful with my belongings. They worked fast ,and together . Upon arriving to my new residence the movers unpacked the truck and were able to move my belongings in the home within an hour. Though moving is never a fun experience, these guys made moving day go a whole lot better. I was very impressed with how professional the lead mover was; he made sure all of the other guys were careful and packed everything in the van just right. Initially, the team showed up with a smaller van than I had booked, but they quickly got another van there and threw in another mover for free. They were very professional the whole time and more-than made up for that initial mistake. Most importantly, all of my stuff arrived to the new house in the same condition that it had left the old house. I've finally finished unpacking and am so pleased that nothing broke or scratched in the move (and they moved a 3-bedroom house!).
