They said I was responsible for supplying all the materials. I had no idea what materials were needed for replacement of all the plumbing to be replaced. I had purchased the new sink, disposal & faucet. 3. They charge to drive to a hardware store whereas plumbers have supplies on their truck or purchase them beforehand to complete the job. 4. I needed recommendations before ordering replacement items, which I received when the plumbers gave me estimates at no cost. 5. They aren't plumbers to know best practices & city codes. 6. I have no idea of the skill set or necessary experience as to who they assign to my project. 7. The last handyman I used for a small fix used the thinnest cheapest copper to change a shut off. Lesson learned. A plumber wouldn't have used such material. Enough said.

This was our first project with Lee and Finest Fix…read more I sent out a quote request via Yelp Projects and Lee got back to me on the same day with their rate of $95/hr + materials. I inquired on how long the job would take based on pictures I sent over, and he replied "an hour max, and it will probably be a couple screws and glue" Communication was OK overall. Lee contacted me on a Monday and asked for the address, email and phone number and asked about my availability for the remainder of the week. I didn't receive a response to my reply, so I had to follow up the next day. We were able to get the job scheduled for the same Friday and his team came to complete the project utilizing a lockbox we provided. I didn't receive any updates during the job, which probably would have helped the surprise of the invoice I later received that was $232.35 when I was expecting something closer to $100 based on our first conversation. Lee did promptly reply and let me know that they thought they would hit a stud but since there was nothing, the job was more complicated as they had to create the support. Overall, still a solid experience and I would still consider using Lee and Finest Fix in the future.

I negotiated a price for a bunch of dry wall repairs and reframing my front door. Because it was in…read moretheory rotten and needed to be reframed. Turns out it needed better screws in the hinges. This didn't result in a discount. I didn't fight it because he spent about 12 hours 'fixing the dry wall'. Promised that it would be paint ready, which to me means excess dry wall cleaned up textured, and seams smoothed. Several spots were missed the first day, but addressed by revisiting the provided the second day. At the end of the second day when he finished the same cracks were still visible with just a massive amount of dry wall going away from the cracks. Along with that things were patched that were on the list with so much mess I had to remove the spackle and do the spot again. He also didn't texture anything during cleanup so things are not paint ready. On top of the amount of mess left behind, I spent hours this weekend cleaning up dust and starting to correct the work. I was hoping this would save me hours of work cleaning and sanding drywall myself. This is not the case between needing the work redone and the cleaning. I wouldn't recommend them for dry wall work.

Issues were threefold: - Eric basically represented and used a facility that does its own direct auto transport. When questioned (because they were cheaper) he highlighted his business as better due to a number of factors. None of these ended up coming to fruition. - the Rando he got to transport my car was horrible. Lack of communication or updates. Ended up delivering the car two or three days later than promised (meaning I missed being able to inspect the car). And throughout the process was full of lies regarding arrival time and why he wasn't delivering on time. - car was damaged during transport but because I was out of town for 2 months after the fact and wasn't able to confirm and share this with Eric (because it was delivered late) I had no recourse for costs to fix the damage. - finally, In reviewing his end of year books, Eric got confused about a voided transaction (I had been charged twice initially and there was a void in his books). He assumed that it was me doing it due to my dissatisfaction and charged my credit card again without confirming the issue with me. He left messages while I was in a meeting and then charged my card without confirming. When I called, he apologized for his angry action but for someone who highlights professionalism amongst his traits, I feel this was way out of line. I was going to just leave things as is and not write a review and leave things as they were in August but given the action he took today I felt compelled to warn others.

He came back to us that same day with a fair quote and was very responsive and friendly with the several follow-up questions we asked in the next days. His brother Dominic and other employee, Blake, were the ones that actually did the work in our home over the course of 9 days. They started by removing some wall paper and then spent numerous hours filling countless holes and cracks in our walls and ceilings. They tried to seal off the areas they were working in in order to minimize the dust as much as possible. They were very diligent at filling all the cracks and holes and smoothing them out so that they were no longer visible. They did several ceilings, a few bedrooms, trim, a living room, kitchen, and hallways, including two staircases. We actually added to the scope of work a couple of times and they were very accommodating. As we were working from home the entire time they were doing the job, we saw first hand how hard they worked throughout the day. They even came back for an extra couple of hours one day to make sure a blemish was fixed. They really went the extra mile, giving it their all and the results showed. We are very happy with how everything turned out! On top of a great outcome, it was a pleasure having them in our home. They were very respectful and friendly, and did a better job of cleaning up at the end of each day than any other contractors we have had in our home.
