Chili cheeseburger
Michael Y.

The chili cheeseburger is my favorite, but the slaw dogs, fried chicken and BBQ are all worth trying. The drive thru was fast and the staff were nice. The fries were a little soggy this time (could be the heat of the fries inside the bag). The sweet tea is generally good and was great on this visit. If only there were more Rush's locations...

Double cheeseburger.

Would recommend anything. Great food and service. The crew working were laughing and having a good time while cooking. That's great.

Their chicken and burgers are way better than any other fast food chain in town. This location is consistent and staff are nice.

Went for our second visit last night. I was very glad to see that they've improved the acoustics…read moresince my last review. It's not as noisy. We were seated by the hostess to a nice booth and our waiter was quick to take our orders. We ordered the Grilled Salmon ($24) with a side of Risotto. Our friend ordered the Grilled salmon with Risotto and also a Edamame/succotash side. The salmon was done perfectly and the risotto also was very good. My wife ordered a side salad and I ordered a side Caesar salad. The salads were cold, crisp and very good, although my wife's balsamic vinegar dressing caught her by surprised by the acidity of the dressing. Excellent meal. Our other friend ordered the Pork Chop, which was huge and quite thick. It had a maple glaze on it. I had a bite of it and it was very good tasting...not quite as tender as I would've liked, but that's sort of typical of most pork chops. We were too full to try any dessert. Great menu, good service. We will go back.

You know before you taste the steak it will be seasoned to perfection and it will melt in your mouth. It is amazing to relax and enjoy a perfectly prepared meal . The Ceasar salad comes with a honey butter croissant, that added sweetness to complement the perfect side salad. Now you know why there are lines to get in this place.

OH MAN, will we be back. There were tons of options on the buffet for all diets and tastebuds. I've been doing a fitness plan, so I ate the grilled chicken, green beans and cabbage. OK, and I tasted the fried chicken and biscuits. It was all DELICIOUS. I was mad when I got full after 1 plate, I had my eye on a number of the other items on the buffet. My husband said the fried pork chops were to die for. He had 3 plates with butter beans and rice. At $17 per person, you get the buffet, as well as drinks with unlimited refills. Just be aware that drink options are only Tea, Water and Lemonade - no soft drinks to be found here! Totally worth it and only open on Sundays, so the place was mobbed. Hope you enjoy!

The name, Water We Eatin,' is a clever play on the nearby Wateree River and the age-old question, What Are We Eating? The previous owners recently sold the establishment and I went back for the first time since then this week. The new owners kept most of the staff, the name of the restaurant, the menu and the prices. The prices can't be beat and the staff has always been very friendly. The location is kinda in the middle of nowhere. It appears to be an old gas station that has been repurposed. To me, it screams South Carolina and I like that. I got the rib-eye steak ad baked potato without thinking I also got it the last time I ate here before the ownership change. The difference between the two dining experiences eye opening and I don't mean that in a good way, I am sorry to say. As soon as we began to put butter on our potato, the three of us realized it was not cooked all the way through. My fork would barely make a dent. I was already worried because that should have been the easiest part of the meal to get right and to check before it was brought out. The server was apologetic and said he would have the cook pop three new potatoes in the oven. Which is fine and we appreciated that, but now we had steak on our plate and no potato. So I started in on the steak. Last time the steak was very tender. Not so much this time. It was tough to cut. The seasoning was not as good this time as last. I don't know if the seasoning was different this time or if it was just not seasoned as much, but it was noticeable. The new potato when it came out was cooked fine, but the whole situation left a bad taste in my mouth, to use a bad pun. I liked the tea. Being from the south, I ordered it sweetened and it came just as I prefer, sweet, but not thick and syrupy like some places serve it. I am open to going back and if I do, I will update this review. People are allowed to have bad days. It may be a learning experience for the new owners. I am pulling for them as I prefer locally-owned places with character than cookie cutter national chains where every location looks the same. I hope to try their breakfast for the first time at some point.
