    Second time here for my jobs holiday party. The staff is always super friendly and kind. The bartenders, valet, bathroom attendant, servers... everyone is so kind. The food is what you would expect from any buffet style, ordinary enough so anyone with varied taste could eat but nothing over the top. They won all the points in my book through great customer service.

    Came here for a work holiday party! Service was excellent and the valet parking system was efficient. Food served was quite good your standard Italian. Would be a nice wedding venue as they are right on the cross bay

    PSA: If You Haven't Been to Russo's on the Bay, Are You Even Living?! Listen, I'm not here to sugarcoat things--I'm here to tell you that Russo's on the Bay is THAT girl. Period. Our social service agency has been gracing this establishment for over a decade--I'm talking so many events, I've lost count. But last night? LAST. NIGHT. Hit different. Why? One word: Sophia (she spelled it differently. Safiya I believe). When I tell you this young lady understood the assignment, I mean she aced the exam, got extra credit, and was probably the teacher's pet too. Our population consists of individuals with intellectual disabilities, meaning they require a different level of attentiveness, care, and patience. And let's be real--not everyone is up for the task. But Sophia? She stepped up like a queen claiming her throne--smiling, engaging, and treating everyone at our table like an individual. No rushed "What do you want?" energy. No exasperated sighs. Just genuine hospitality. She took drink orders like she was serving at the Ritz and brought back each one with grace and poise (because let's be honest, some servers bring your drinks back like they're mad at you). From start to finish, she delivered service smoother than a luxury car ride--and baby, that cappuccino she made? Life-changing. Now, let's talk about Russo's itself. Because if you think this is just a banquet hall, think again. First of all, shoutout to the staff who immediately let us know about the different bathroom options. Inclusivity? We love to see it. The Saint Patrick's Day celebration was giving everything it was supposed to give--hats, funny glasses, the whole festive vibe. And then--THE FOOD. If you don't get the penne a la vodka, are you okay?! This dish is a crowd favorite for a reason, and last night, we went back for seconds, thirds, and if I had no shame, maybe even fourths. We opted for a buffet-style meal, and let me tell you--bless whoever made that decision. Unlimited access to penne a la vodka should be a human right. Also, the calamari? Chefs kiss. Didn't have it this time, but I've had it before, and it slaps every time. And let's not forget the valet service. Some places act brand new when they see an accessible vehicle, but not Russo's. They handled our agency's specially equipped vans like pros. At the end of the night, my individuals walked away saying this was the best event they've ever attended at Russo's. And that's saying something because we practically have a frequent flyer membership here. If you're looking for white-glove service, next-level hospitality, and food that makes you wanna write a love letter--book Russo's. And if you're lucky enough to get Sophia at your table? Consider your night MADE.

    Great dessert. Friendly staff. No matter which floor you do a party they are all beautiful and well staffed. Kind service always, from valet to the bathroom attendants. . DJ's are always fun. They work with ur pricing. Did I mention the food is delicious. They have great bartenders.

    One word to describe it is Gorgeous!!! Attended a wedding at Russo's On The Bay, everything was just beautiful, great staff, great food. It was a awesome experience all around.

    Above average part venue. Staff was attentive. Went for a fundraiser . Had a nice cocktail hour and dinner included choice of six entrees. My hanger steak was excellent. Since Covid seafood has disappeared mostly from cocktail hours because of cost.

    I came here for Father's Day. It is such a beautiful location and amazing decorations. The buffet was outstanding and had a nice variety of different style with food. The music and DJ there was great and it was fun to dance with the dance floor. It got a little too cold for me but other than that I had a great time and highly recommend this venue for big gatherings or their special Mother's Day or Father's Day.

    This is my second visit to Russo's and I must say that it is a wonderful venue for anything. While I still had to take the Belt Parkway, (ugh) it's very easy to get to. The Valet Parking makes it very easy especially since I don't know where you would put all the cars of the people who come to these large events. I arrived very early and had the opportunity to watch the setup of the room and the food. It's amazing how everything flows so well. Many tables of attendees and a large check-in table outside the room. It all moved so well as the people came in. They had all the food ready to go for lunch so people could get started and hopefully finish before the speakers. Everything looked so good, I went with the sausage and peppers and Rigatoni a la Vodka. It was delicious!!! Hot tasty and fresh... The sausages were not greasy at all. There was also plenty of fruit and cheese available. Something for everyone. They served a large quantity of Kosher Meals and they were all brought out quickly to the correct people. A very efficient staff. All the food was in the outside room with plenty of windows and light. A delightful experience. I am definitely looking forward to my next event here.     Awesome venue! I attended a longtime friends wedding here and it was wonderful. As soon as I walked up, I was greeted by an employee and directed where to go. I grabbed a quick drink and that bartender was very friendly. All the staffers here were excellent and went above and beyond. The venue itself looked great and had some pretty good views once your inside. The food menu was much more extensive than I've ever seen-- typically for dinner you have about four options, I believe they had over ten. Staff constantly came over during cocktail hour and dinner to take plates and refill your drink without you even requesting it. Overall, the wedding was beautiful, the venue was also. I had a great time and hopefully I'm afforded the opportunity to return here.

    My organization has two or three events here every year, and we are never disappointed. Huge Facility, perfectly laid out for pre-event cocktails and hors d'oeuvres with food stations lined up along the canal inside a very elegant space. The ballroom holds 500 people without a problem, plenty of room for a band and dancing. The food is always good and the Wait staff well trained.

    Haven't been to this catering hall in about it 25, maybe more years. I remember it being nice back then and am happy to report that it still is. I attended an event and really loved the room where they held the cocktail hour - modern and bright, right along the canal, and the food was fantastic with lots of options. The staff was very accommodating and aimed to please. I'd consider hosting an event here one day. Glad I go to experience it again after all these years. At least I can still dine regularly at Vetro, their restaurant just up the road (one of my faves).

I designed my own centerpieces, purchased all the materials including decorations needed to bring my vision to fruition. I communicated with Ms. Lopez via emails with explicit details as to what I wanted and exactly how I wanted everything laid out. I even included pictures so that there would be absolutely no confusion as to what I wanted and how I wanted everything set up. I brought Ms. Lopez to the venue to physically do a walk through in order to be crystal clear on what my expectations were. About a month before the ceremony Ms. Lopez expressed that she needed more people in order to accomplish setting up the venue which was to hold approximately 100 people. Throughout the process it became clear to me that through constant redundant questions, that Ms. Lopez was not reading or comprehending the updated emails which described everything I was providing and how it was supposed to be set up. About two weeks out it became clear that she couldn't provide the full service day of the event planning and management that I desired and understood when we first contracted her. Then began the back and forth arguments with me as to what decorations she wanted to use versus what my wishes were and what I had already created. I arranged for additional people to help Ms. Lopez setup. Then it came to light that was would not be providing the "Day of Wedding Coordination" which was originally discussed and contracted, but rather simply setup the hall and then leave and then return to break it all down. Note: we are having two ceremonies and my Event coordinator for the second event is literally handling everything from beginning to end. Ms. Lopez's demeanor throughout this process became increasingly confrontational, judgmental and demeaning and simply rude. On the day of the event we had arranged to have Ms. Lopez, her staff and the additional help that I arranged to meet at the venue at 3 pm to set up. Her staff and my helpers including my adult children were there to set up. Her staff asked my daughters how to set up the centerpieces, the Champagne flutes, napkins, etc... One of her crew called Ms. Lopez and asked where to place the napkins and she told them to use their better judgement... There was no coordination with the other vendors at all which is also in the contract: "Planning, coordination, management and execution of event details!!!! I worked hard at creating "our vision" She arbitrarily changed things. I specifically told her I did not want flowers as table centerpieces, but rather I wanted the candles and glass candle holders that I bought and provided. She put her own decorations with flowers on the table anyway! Souvenirs, specialty cups, other materials that I bought and boxed and labeled specifically with what should go where was not put out. Cups with the Bride and groom's name written on it that I provided (and detailed in my email) weren't placed on our sweetheart table. I have never had such an unprofessional experience with a vendor. Her lack of etiquette (on All levels) decorum, and just plain kindness was appalling. How dare you make disparaging remarks about items we chose as part of our theme. It's our wedding and our vision NOT her's!!! Perhaps she is used to working with people that tolerate that condescending, mean, and unprofessional behavior. We are not and my guests and family members that I sent to help her do HER job didn't expect or deserve that kind of treatment either. Ms. Lopez was contracted to provide a service. While her thoughts and ideas may be solicited and considered, the final decision belongs to the client. We hired her, not the other way around. Moreover, the attitude and sarcasm was atrociously disrespectful. Her job was simple: take the client's vision and execute it. I went to extreme lengths to provide her specific details on how I wanted things set up. All she had to do was read. Ms. Lopez complained that she had other events at the same time. Project and time management is her responsibility, not mine. She should not take on more jobs than she has the bandwidth to accomplish successfully. She literally failed in every aspect of professionalism, planning, ability to organize and project execution.

She is flexible and will establish a payment plan. I trusted her. Everything went well in working with her until the day of my event. She texted me and told me that my cake needed to be delivered an hour before she was going to have access to the venue. I asked her what that meant, if she knew this prior, and if this meant I was not going to have a cake. She replies in asking, "did I say you were not going to have a cake?" I immediately called her and told her I didn't understand the tone in her text. She says she was just telling me about the situation and that she didn't know what was going on with me that day Well, the set up of my event was nice and she NEVER followed up with me to apologize or see if I was satisfied with the setup. At the party, I noticed that my display did not have two flower arrangements that I paid for and was a part of the contract. I reached out to her and expressed my concerns. She responded by saying that my event was a loss for her, that I was being unreasonable, the venue was not good, she was not able to get into the venue to get her materials ....Nothing to do with the missing flowers or with my signed agreement with her. I asked her for a partial reimbursement and she was adamant about only giving me back $50. I am disappointed in how she runs her business and how she lacked professionalism in the end. Her work is beautiful, but I did not get everything that I paid for. She violated our contract, and I am considering taking legal action. Be cautious in hiring her!

To address this matter even further as far as damages and the venue being left with extensive cleaning, and soiled drapes ( I'm assuming wet drapery, where alcohol is involved) pretty common in your line of business I would assume ) and vomit in the bathroom. How is it the fault of mine or my associates that were assisting in removal, how ? You cannot blame or excuse your behavior of the few on the many. We were guests at this event and then bystanders while waiting for the equipment to be broken down and beverages packed and escorted out within the hour time frame to clean. My issue is regarding your professionalism and being disrespected. ** Luckily I will not post the video I took of you yelling several profanities, lies, and also stating leave, don't bother to clean just get " F " out repeatedly while having your several security guards try to calm you down almost an hour before the time everyone was supposed to leave. Maybe that's why no one else stayed back to clean to your standards after everything was removed. I will not post it, but simply mention it because we're both adults and I'm sure you're aware of your behavior and the goal is not to embarrass but enlighten you. I'm not unfair in the sense that you were frustrated for the reasons you are claiming, however your anger was misplaced and directed towards the WRONG INDIVIDUALS. The person/team that booked you, these are issues that you speak directly to them. Not go on an uncontrollable rampage of misplaced anger and blame on anyone and everyone within your view. You don't criminalize a bystander for something they did not do. As a grown man you should know better than to scream at women that way even if that wasn't your initial intentions. Myself and those you behaved that way with were not responsible for everything you're clearly upset about. If you're talking about safety precautions, and the usual banter most businesses use to salvage their reputation, doesn't apply to what my complaint is. It is your behavior is what made most of the females in attendance feel unsafe, uncomfortable and disrespected. And as far as how long you've been in business for, I live a few blocks away literally, you're not well known in a positive light. Refer to the other reviews with similar experiences in a different context. I am sorry you feel that way, but as someone in attendance I'm entitled to share my experience whether it's positive or negative. Hopefully you can take your behavior into consideration and account for your future clients, and I do actually wish you well. I can understand when someone is frustrated but that doesn't excuse accountability for your actions.

    I just had my baby shower here last weekend. It was absolutely wonderful. We had an early daytime…read moreparty on a Saturday from 11-5. Abdul was great to work with. From the first visit to the hall it was amazingly easy to talk to him, ask all our questions and address any concerns. We had about 90 ppl in total, although we expected close to 120. Tables and chair were sturdy, good condition and clean. The hall was clean and tidy when we got there early Saturday morning. Abdul called in to check that we were doing okay that morning and to confirm that he would be by to check out the sound system and make sure it was up and running for us. There was an evening event right after ours so we did have to be certain of clearing out by 5 so that the next party could adequately decorate and we were able to squeeze by. Abdul was there at the end to make sure everything was ok and got to work with his clean up crew with the hall provides as part of the fees and pricing. There are add-ons that they offer such as the ice machine in the back room, which worked great for us for the price, having the peace of mind that we had ice on hand. We also used the chaffing dishes they offer (extra fee) to keep the food warm, we provided the burners ourselves. I wish I had taken more pictures of just the hall and the decorations but something is better than nothing. We provided decorations ourselves but I know that they do offer decoration services such as a decorative chair, tablecloths and chair covers that I had seen on other occasions during other visits during other parties. I definitely recommend this hall for events, parties of all kinds. Great staff to work with. Thank so much to Abdul and Medina Hall for making this such a special day!
