I attended a birthday party at Antun's and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. This catering venue in Queens offers rooms for functions ranging from as little as 60 people to hundreds. The grounds seem to be well kept as well as the inside. There is street parking as well as free parking in a lot located in the back. The only thing is you can only enter thru the front entrance. So though the parking is on the side/back there is like one way in and out so there is a bit of a walk. Other than that the food selection was impressive. From jerk chicken to fish, to rasta pasta and stuffed shells and everything in between. We also had a nice cheese and fruit board spread. And let's not talk about the desert! We recently had an event here for 75 and the venue, staff and food did not disappoint. They renovated the downstairs area and the renos are fantastic. The staff is courteous, professional and the food is great. They are easy to get to being right across the street from the Queens Village LIRR stop and plenty of parking across the street. This was my first time at this Banquet Hall. The occasion was my 20th High School Reunion (really 21st). The venue had a couple of events going on that night and upon entry we were directed where to go. We had the upstairs area, which is the smaller of the areas. The space was a pretty good size, but actually it seemed we didn't have enough chairs. The staff here was friendly and the bartender was also. He was working by himself and it was a bit of wait, but that was understandable as nobody was there with him. They had decent offerings buffet style for dinner but I only ate the roasted potatoes and platanos. Overall, we had a wonderful experience here and appreciated the friendly staff. This is my first time to attend an event at this venue and I am pleasantly delighted. We attended a gala at this locale, everything looks classy and luxurious. Employees are very accommodating, attentive and courteous, service was quick and efficient , very professional. Food was decent, the meat that they served was tender and flavorful, but not really exceptional. Restrooms were very clean. Table set-up was neat, plates and utensils were spotless. Their parking area was substantial enough to hold a large amount of cars which makes it very convenient. This event space in the heart of Queens Village is a surprise for new guests like us. Our function hall is spacious. I love the idea that they had the cocktail hour on same main hall then turned the space to a dance floor. What a splendid idea, less guests movement, price and time saver move. Went to a Pre-Valentine's day cocktail party. All the employee's are very nice the Princess room we where in was beautiful (love the red tablecloths and rose on the table). When you first enter the room you are greeted w/ a glass of champagne. The cocktail party was buffet style the food was delicious (oxtails, pigeon peas & rice, glazed salmon w/ spinach, ribs, fried chicken, seafood salad, pasta salad, boneless braised beef, jerk chicken, fresh fruit, assorted cheeses). Cheesy old school over the top trying to be elegant but goes beyond and comes off as a stale wedding cake. To be fair? Most if not all catered affairs and their halls are cheesy, fake atmospheres. This one had the fake fountains, the ornate "marbled" effect in its detail and bathrooms, the semblance of elegance.... semblance is a fair word. All over Carpeting...with all we know about how impractical to have that in public spaces, hygiene wise, why do we still do it? Loads of unhealthy eats and drinks before during and after that you feel decadent and piggish enough to keep eating along with the rest. It's Americana at its best. I had no idea that Antun's was hosting an outdoor brunch during the summer and fall months. This was a classy setting for my godmother's 60th birthday brunch. The outdoors is lovely and the set up is very nice. The staff were very kind and the food surprisingly (just being honest) was pretty good. We had appetizers and a main course and unlimited beverages according to our package. We brought our own dessert in to enjoy. I must not that the wings included in the appetizers were so good ! The staff member are very polite and helpful. The problem with this establishment is the owner. He has no respect for his hardworking staff, neither does he respect renting clients. My family and I were in finalizing our event with a 5 years old. First issues, cake delivery triggered him yell and drop the F word multiple times. Next a dinner wear broke then the hostile work environment appeared. He yelled at the staff as if they were children " why don't you go through the kitchen like a normal person, everyone is in trouble, get in the kitchen all of you now". At the end of our meeting I looked out for him but didn't see him. An owner should reflect the standards of the establishment with respect to their staff and clients. If this was my first visit based on this moment we would have walked out. As a follow up, the owner did call the following day apologizing for his behavior stating it was not accepted for him to behave in such a manner. As someone who never dreamed of having a wedding ceremony/reception, Antun's made the process as smooth and stress free. In retrospect, they exceeded all of my expectations. A good time was had by all and it was a stress free experience for the bride and the groom. Michelle helped us to plan everything and reassured us every step of the way. Not having to stress and worry about every little thing was amazing. Michelle is experienced, personable, knowledgeable, and is amazing at what she does. She worked with us to execute some last minute changes that made me very happy and she ended up making my week. Thank you Keva! Our wedding occurred during Hurricane/Tropical Storm Henri and the venue called us and reassured us several times that nothing was going to ruin our joyous occasion. Though we planned to have our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors in their beautiful courtyard, Antun's quickly shifted to an indoor ceremony and cocktail hour. Everything went smoothly and without any issue. All of the staff, from the maitre'D, to my bridal attendant, to the wait staff were all professional, patient, and fun! It felt like they were celebrating with us all while executing their roles with excellence. Additionally, Antun's was very accommodating with my food allergy. I am gluten free so our pasta bar included GF pasta, my meal was gluten free, and they they gave us the option of having a gluten free wedding cake! Wedding Saturday August 20, 2022, noon ish. Everything was nice from beginning to end. We were escorted to the ceremony room which was very simple but, tasteful. We were then lead across the way to the cocktail hour where the food was hot, fresh, and delicious. It was set up in 2 stations and was replenished accordingly. Afterwards, we were directed to an adjacent room for the reception which was set up by Antuns and decorated by family. The teamwork between both made the dream work. The bread and salads came first and was well presented and fresh as well as palette cleansing Then, came the hot entrees of guests choice. Salmon was my choice... was a nice size piece with some seasoned rice and Broccoli. There was a beef entree and not sure what the other was but, the plates went back to the kitchen empty. The coffee was piping hot and the cake was fresh and delicious as well. Then, the Bride and Groom gifted us with a Dessert Buffet of Ice cream, flavored coffee, and varies Italian cakes, cookies, and Pastries. The staff at this event were on the younger side but, made us guests... feel welcome and they were friendly, approachable, helpful, and very courteous. I went here last weekend for my father's banquet for the fire department he had worked for. The venue looks a little bit old on the inside, it could use more modern decorations to look more appealing. The service was good, there was a bunch of friendly servers walking around refilling water as needed and bringing appetizers around asking if anyone wanted any. All of them had a smile on their face. The buffet had a large variety of food, including pastas, salads, ribs, turkey, cheese, crackers, and some seafood. My review is based off of the few foods that I tried, but from others around me I heard the other food that I didn't try, wasn't good as well. I ate the lobster tail, which had a strange odor to it and didn't taste so good. The pasta was OK, and the turkey was OK. You can't expect much from a buffet but it could've been better. It's not a bad venue for large groups of people, and the service was good. Not much to say about the food but maybe it was just a one-off day where it wasn't that good. read more

Last night was my mothers retirement after 54 years of working in the operating room as a nurse. First I want to say Randy was the most amazing person throughout the evening. He was very helpful and assisted us with any and everything that we needed. From minor things like spills on the table and covering the music until the DJ arrived, to larger things such as helping the DJ get the stuff upstairs and making sure my mother had her favorite drink. When I say, hands-down, Randy made sure this party operated so smooth and really ensured we all had the best time he really did. Another honorable mention would be Cassandra. Cassandra was helping out with the food and made sure I got some food at the end of the evening because I spent more time drinking than eating. Last, but certainly not least shout out to the bartender Steph. He was great all night. I'm leaving a review as a videographer who shot a wedding at this location yesterday. While I understand that Antun's wasn't paying me to film at their location or vice versa, the way that some of the staff treated me was pretty rude and unhelpful. I'm used to an understanding of reciprocity with venues; they help me navigate their location so I can get my job done and in turn, their location is going to be featured in my film which is free promotion for anyone viewing my video on my social media platforms. From the moment I arrived, no one was polite enough to point me in the direction of the service entrance or the elevator while I was carrying 3 bags of fairly heavy gear. When I attempted to set up my audio recorder and had a question about where I could plug in, the manager in charge gave me an abrupt "I don't have an out" answer and walked away rather than helping me figure out a solution. There just seemed to be a general attitude of dismissiveness from a lot of people that I found very frustrating. It doesn't take that much more energy to also be helpful and friendly to the vendors because I've seen it done before. read more

From the moment I booked my event with Samantha I was very pleased with how helpful she was. I been to Antun's many times because of my work in Queens nonprofit. Today I came for a gala lunch. Antun's is decorated classic banquet hall style with a large dance floor. Antun's is clean and well kept the bathrooms are kept immaculate, that is always a good sign. Today's event was buffet style, I prefer sit-down service but that's really up to your host. I recently attended my cousin's wedding at Antun's. I didn't really feel likely going but I went anyway. My cousin and I are the same age, 32. I was jealous of the fact that he met someone while I've never been in a real relationship. However, that's neither here nor there. The interior is so beautiful and immaculate. The ceremony went off without a hitch. It was clear that the staff meticulously planned the ceremony. In addition, I really enjoyed the DJ. I loved the pasta appetizer. The actual dinner, however, was mediocre. This is an "upscale" venue so the menu is somewhat sophisticated- you won't find fried chicken, macaroni, burgers, or pizza on the menu. The prime rib that I ate was a little tough and the overall portion size was somewhat small. I didn't try the dessert so I can't comment on that. As we ate dinner, romantic music played in the background. The majority of the caterers had a positive disposition. However, one of them looked like she hated her life. Objectively speaking, I had a good, but not great experience. I'd rate it a 3.5 but since I'm feeling generous, I'll round up. This is a very easy to reach location. It's literally across the street from the Queens Village LIRR station and very close to the Cross Island Parkway. read more
