Upon my dad's passing, Scott Swartz himself came to get his body in the wee hours of the morning. This was handled with such care and compassion, I never in a million years would have thought I'd be comforted as my dad was taken away. Yet, I was. Hours later, Scott was even checking in on how the dog was handling my dad's passing. Every interaction left me feeling cared for. Not once did they try to upsell my family on anything and were more than happy to create space for my family to gather. Although my family did not have to arrange a person being transferred between states, I know he has also coordinated logistics in those tricky situations flawlessly. It's been over 15 months since working directly with Swartz but after attending a memorial service yesterday with a different Mortuary, I had to share our positive experience in a very sad situation. Death of a loved one is hard enough without having a difficult Funeral Home to deal with. They do have some patterns and projects but they are definitely focused on an older clientele. Table runners and quilted wall hangings make up a lot of the kits they have, I'm 27 and personally would not put something like that in my home. The selection of fabric was lack luster many similar prints that are dated or just plain. They did have a few cute ones. I want to like and use this store so badly I'm sure I could learn so much from the people there. There is just nothing there for younger beginners with basic machines. They have lessons on their machines in the hopes you will buy one. It's just not helpful to the next generation trying to start out.
