At the same time this project was happening, my wife was diagnosed with stage four cancer. Because of her condition, we were traveling constantly seeking treatment, and I was not able to be present at the house while the work was being done. I trusted Gordon completely to take care of everything and deliver excellent results. I paid $52,000, exactly what he asked for, without negotiating a single dollar--because I wanted quality work and peace of mind during one of the most difficult periods of my life. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. The materials used were clearly the cheapest options available. The lighting installed on the front-yard stairs was very poor quality and is now completely dead. I had to personally replace it with proper sensor lights at my own expense. The front water fountain was supposed to be centered with my sliding front door, which I specifically requested, but it was installed off-center. The backyard is not properly leveled--there are visible uneven areas where some sections are higher than others. There are also noticeable gaps between the tiles throughout the backyard, which should never happen in a project of this scale or cost. I did not leave a review immediately because my focus was entirely on my wife's health and survival. However, every time I look at my front and backyard, it honestly makes me sad. I trusted someone to do the right thing while I was away dealing with a life-or-death situation, and instead I feel that advantage was taken of my absence. What makes this even more upsetting is seeing my neighbors' landscaping--beautiful designs, clean work, and high-quality lighting--for less than two-thirds of what I paid. I am writing this review so others know what happened to me. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Blossom Oak Landscaping or Gordon Palmer. Please be extremely careful. Knowledge means nothing without honesty.

We contacted Pondscapes to figure out if our pond was worth keeping and if we could successfully take it off of our aquaponics system and have it running smoothly (and hopefully more maintenance free) on it's own pump and filter system. In our first phone conversation, Ralph took the time to listen to my needs, concerns and questions and we determined a time for him to come out to take a look at our existing pond and provide us with an estimate. We discussed the kinds of systems we could go with along with a few extra features (that were optional) like lighting, which we opted not to go with. He gave us an estimate which we thought was fair and very reasonable considering the amount of work that needed to be done. Luckily, he had an opening in his schedule for the following month, so we went ahead and hired him for the job. Ralph and his team showed up on time (no small task coming from Queen Creek) and did an amazing amount of work in 3 days! We literally went from having a murky, unhealthy looking pond, to a crystal clear, gorgeous pond with a fish cove and water feature in a matter of days!! STAY AWAY…read more Absolutely unacceptable work. What was supposed to be simple trimming turned into severe over-pruning that completely ruined my plants. Multiple mature, full, flowering shrubs were cut down into stiff, unnatural box-like shapes with most of the blooms removed. The entire look of my yard was drastically changed in a single visit. This is not professional landscaping - it's careless and shows a lack of basic pruning knowledge. When I contacted the owner about it, my concerns were dismissed and he hung up on me. Save yourself the frustration and go with a more competent company. Photos speak for themselves. ***Update***: The owner's response speaks for itself. Rather than addressing the legitimate concerns about the quality of work, he chose to attack me personally and publicly, calling me disgustingly rude and telling other businesses never to work with me. This condescending and unprofessional response only confirms why we will never use this company again.
