Iced americano with cherry cold foam
    Abby D.

I have loved Rustic Grounds since they first opened and were located on Munising Ave. Whenever I'm in town they are always a must stop. This year they are in a new building which is great as their food menu expanded. I stopped in before close and as always the owner was super friendly and sweet. Loved my iced americano with cherry cold foam, can't wait to get another tomorrow!

"Fueled by Jesus & Coffee", I absolutely love this!

5/5 -- A Hidden Gem Fueled by Faith and Great Coffee! A few weeks back, I was riding my motorcycle through Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula on a trip from Maryland and stopped overnight in Munising. The next morning, I went searching for some good coffee and came across Rustic Grounds Coffee Trailer. As I looked over the menu, I saw a variety of great options and asked if I could make a small tweak to one of their specialty lattes -- no hesitation, no problem, they made it happen! When I took that first sip... wow. Smooth, balanced, and genuinely one of the best lattes I've had. I've traveled all over the world, and this little coffee trailer easily holds its own among my favorite stops. Top 10? Maybe not, but definitely my top favorite in the UP! (I'm originally from the UP, born and raised in.) While enjoying my drink, I noticed the cup had the outline of Michigan's Upper Peninsula with the words "Fueled by Jesus & Coffee." That made me smile. Then I saw the T-shirts hanging on a wall by the side of the trailer featuring Bible verses and faith-inspired designs -- such a great touch! This place is more than just a coffee stop; it's a reflection of love, faith, and community. If you're ever in Munising and want amazing coffee while supporting a small, family-owned, Christian business -- Rustic Grounds is absolutely the place to go. I'll definitely be back when I ride through the UP again!

I've loved every single coffee shop I've stopped at on my roadtrip through the UP and Rustic Grounds was no exception! It's ran out of a little trailer but the coffees have big flavor. We got an Oatmeal Cookie Latte which was so delicious and sweet and cinnamony and my boyfriend got a Backwoods Bootlegger which was surprisingly bourbony. Not my kind of thing but if you're into a less sweet drink I would recommend it, he really liked it! We also each got breakfast pies which were also really yummy and filling. They have Cholula hot sauce at the bar with the sugar and cream if that's your thing (it is mine!). Super cute spot with some nice outdoor seating. Service was kind and fast.

Its a cute little trailer with some parking right in the front! Loved the breakfast pasties and loved the merch even more!!! I am still thinking of the cute sayings they had on cups and shirts! Coffee was good but not the best.

Hands down best coffee in town made by the friendliest people. Yelp has the location wrong, it's the little trailer behind the Dogpatch.

West Bay Diner-Smash burger super good! And so friendly!! :) Get a malt!---mmmm 3. Lake Superior Brewing Company, Big ass burger, with lots of fries and toppings. The bacon was off thou :(-Place is to busy, staff was arguing amongst themselves, poor management. 4. The break wall- literally zero taste but way way way to expensive, and potato chips with no other choices, Blah premade crap. Place was empty, couldn't tell it was a restaurant or a gift shop or what-seems confused like they are trying to hard. 5. The GM Tavern, tasted like it was a frozen patty on a soggy bun. Nothing here was good. Service was terrible. Half the staff sat at the end of the bar talking to themselves while customers appeared annoyed. Only plus. AC. Back to Fired Up!! I can not say enough good things about this place thou, every time we went here, the wait was not that long even when busy, the counter person was very friendly and informative and all the food was super good. OMG the breakfast burrito could feed a small village. WOW! The gkids loved the donuts!!! This town needs more food trucks! That is the way of every major metro area, something about food trucks they know whats up!!!

So crispy they could double as Olympic gymnastic rings (if you could stop eating them long enough to try). The vibes are right up my alley.. there's a shaggy shepherd "watch dog" who clearly runs the place from his post on the deck. Don't be fooled, he's not just there for security... he's making sure you don't drop any fries. The person who took our order was hilarious! 10/10 would let her roast me while handing over my food again. The Lions game was playing next door and we were able to watch while still eating outside. If you're looking for good food, good laughs, and a side of doggy cuteness, this is the spot.

I love hotdogs and like to think of myself as an expert. I will drive hundreds of miles just to try one. In this instance, I drove 200 miles round trip, just to try Toby's Windy City ( Chicago dog ). Also ordered was a chili dog for my friend and tour guide and a plain, no bun dog for my friends dog, which there was no charge for! My friend and his dog gobbled theirs right down! Me, I was trying to get my phone to work so I could take pictures. No luck with that . Anyway, I would call my Chicago dog exceptional with just a few things needing to be done. 1. Toast that bun! It keeps it from getting soggy. Mine totally fell apart with the first bite. 2. It was on a regular bun not poppy seed. Maybe that's why it was called a Windy City dog 3. The dog could have been a bit hotter for me, I like mine well done. With those few things, I would still have to say that Toby's Dog House, is in for another visit from me!

Gallery Coffee used to be a place I went out of my way to visit every morning while on vacation,…read morebut after watching the experience decline year after year--and repeatedly being met with defensiveness and visible frustration when asking for an incorrectly made $7-$8 drink to be remade--I've finally decided to find a new spot. If you care to read why, I'll explain below. My order is specific, but not complicated: a 12 oz oat milk latte, steamed warm rather than hot. I normally won't ask for a drink to be remade, but at $7-$8 for a 12 oz latte, I do feel like it's reasonable to expect it to be made the way I ordered it. Twice now I've asked for my drink to be remade. The mistake itself isn't really what bothers me--it's how it's handled. Neither time was there an apology or even a simple acknowledgment that it wasn't what I asked for. Instead, the employees became defensive about having made it correctly. What really made the interactions uncomfortable was watching multiple employees huddle together while the drink was being remade, talking amongst themselves about how it had been made correctly the first time, accompanied by frustrated mumbling. It makes you feel like you've done something wrong simply by asking for the drink you paid for. Mistakes happen. I've worked customer-facing jobs, and I absolutely don't expect perfection. But I've rarely seen employees seem so consistently irritated about having to do their job. After experiencing the same attitude more than once and noticing the atmosphere decline over several years, I can't help but wonder if there's a larger management or workplace-culture issue contributing to the negativity. It's genuinely disappointing because Gallery Coffee used to be one of my favorite stops when I visited the area. I kept coming back because of what it used to be, but this trip finally convinced me it's time to find a new morning coffee spot. For anyone looking for an alternative, Falling Rock Cafe is just up the road. The coffee is comparable and the staff have been VERY nice. If you're going through Marquette, Provisions Coffee is absolutely worth the stop--the staff there have been incredibly welcoming and warm.
