Pros: First of all, I was able to book and pay online, after hours, which was great! The grounds were very clean and there was ample room to maneuver a 30' travel trailer. Cons: It is much further than the 2-3 miles off the I-44 listed on the website directions. There needs to be better signage approaching the park, especially at night. Although we paid for an "EZ Pull Through" spot, the only ones available were not pull through (unless you wanted to pull straight in to muddy grassy area). The lot numbers are not well marked. We actually had to get out of the truck and walk up to the breaker box with a flashlight to see the space/lot number. Come morning, you can easily hear the interstate traffic. The one night stay was about 40% higher than anything we have paid elsewhere between Arizona and Oklahoma. Overall:. The park was clean and fairly organized. We would stay here again if we were in the area. read more

Nothing but a large gravel parking lot. Loud droning noise constantly from I44 right across the road away. Uneven sites retain rainwater and less then 10 ft in between you and your neighbor(s) front door. Raw sewage smell was enough for me to leave let alone 55 bucks a night! We spent a little over a week in this fantastic RV campgrounds. The office staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Everyone in the campground was nice as well. Very good rates and nice facilities. Restrooms, laundry, showers, etc. Highly recommend this place! read more

Nice people but this is just a gravel parking lot. Sites are close together. FHU and works fine for a quick overnight stop. Just off the interstate but road noise doesn't normally bother me. Would stay again if in the area and needed an overnight. read more

August 4, 2023. Staff most unfriendly. I am an Army vet with service dog. Aug 3 my dog and I were alone at n the pool area. No signs posted regarding service animals not allowed. Rustic Meadows RV Park 2449 Evergreen Rd Stratford, Mo. 417-468-3644 rusticwoodsrvpark.com Site #215 Dates of Stay: 8/25 - 8/27, 2020 Rating: Located along I-44 near Springfield, Mo. easy to get to. Can exit #88 or #96 from either direction (West or Eastbound). Wide interior roads. All gravel. Nice size sites with concrete patio for the picnic table. We had full hook-up and they seem to be upgraded. Reasonably priced about $40 with Good Sam's discount. Wi-Fi is okay. No cable tv but we were able to get a number of channels using antenna. ATT cell reception was strong. Because it is all gravel, it is dusty. And our site was deceptively uneven. The convenience of being near I-44 results in road noise. Our site was the first one, so it would be more noisy than most but we are not sensitive to road and train noise and we thought it a bit noisy. And there is a train track on the opposite side of I-44. They advertise as dog friendly and they do allow dogs at no extra charge, however, there are no dog stations or dedicated dog walk or park. There are two trash cans that indicate they are dog waste receptacles, neither of which have been emptied in a while. Also, the grass areas on the perimeter of the park was not mowed and full of sand burrs. The laundry and pool advertised is actually across a paved road in an area called Rustic Woods which appears to be a permanent and very long term RV park. We got the feeling that the Rustic Meadows area was mostly occupied by longer term units also. Would recommend for an overnight stay. read more

If you are wanting sleep. . . DO NOT STAY HERE! Arrived late afternoon. Office had already closed. We were assigned site 201, right by the entrance/exit, right next to I-44 which had a train track on the other side of it!! Noise all evening, all night, all morning!! Too noisy, busy to get any sleep!! We could hook up to the electric, but not to the water. Their water hookup was filled with water! Had to wait for the office to open to let them know. But then decided not to wait. We just wanted out. We only stayed one night, one night too many!! Never again! We camped at Rustic Meadows RV Park in a Travel Trailer. read more

The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars if your park in the front you do here the noise from the freeway. That being said, I would definitely stay here again. It's a keeper read more

Rustic Woods Review I was a long term  tenant of Rustic Woods, a total of 21 months.  There have been two owners during this time.  My review is only pertains during the second owners tenure.  Rustic Enterprises is owned by a California group. On the "Woods" side the bathhouse, laundry and common area are in the same building. The bath area is generally clean, with plenty of hot water. The bathrooms are kept warm in the winter and cool summer months.There are two toilets and two showers in each gender rooms. There are no electric outlets in either room, so don't plan on drying your hair.   They are, however, not handicap friendly. There are no safety bars in toilet stalls or shower area. The common area has only one step to go down but again, no hand rails so very difficult handicap or elderly persons. The laundry portion of the building is clean. There are plenty of washers and dryers. There are no chairs for peop!e to sit during laundry but common area is right there. Again, not handicap friendly. The bathhouse also doubles as the storm shelter for both Rustic Woods and Rustic Meadow and is seriously lacking in space and safety. This may cause a  very dangerous situation particularly for the elderly.  In the less then two years there have been three managers and several front office turnovers. This has caused a number of issues such as mowing was not done consistently, leaf blowing was non-existent during the fall and no safety precautions at all during the winter months. No salt on roads or entrances to common areas. The park set in a beautiful forested area is looking tired and shabby. There is no designated area for pets and animal waste is everywhere. Walkers have a difficult time exercising  dodging all the poop. Children are playing in the same area as dog waste. Not so healthy. The current manager is not visible nor appears to be involved with day to day activities. She is not friendly and goes out of her way not to interact with the residence.  The few interactions we have had were met with hostility and made to feel we were bothersome. Any comment on how the park can be improved is taken personnel and becomes she defensive. Office hours in the winter are super short and very erratic. All packages are delivered to the office and with the short hours working persons are unable to pick up their deliveries, one would need to wait until the weekend. Getting change for the laundry or propane for heat, outside business hours, are not met with a friendly or a helpful demeanor but again with hostility. In today's society the need for video surveillance is understood and posted everywhere. Cameras are in  all communal buildings at Rustic Woods and Rustic Meadows, audio has been added, as well as video. This is inside and outside the buildings. Not all area are clearly posted.  Private conversations have repeated by employees and owners, to the public. The invasion of privacy and confidentiality has precipitated a lack of trust and feeling of safekeeping.  So for a short term visit to the area, the Meadows side is a gravel parking lot with highway and train noise. No playground for  children and limited amenities, not really family orientated. If you are looking for long term, highly inconvenient and an extremely unfriendly atmosphere. read more

Very nice staff! I would consider them friends. Sites were level, gravel, and nice. Bathrooms were clean and showers actually had hot water. Close to interstate. There's a free limo service to and from The Big Texan Steak Ranch and Brewery. (Pick up and drop off at your site) We were just passing through but we'd stay again. read more

My family and I came to rustic meadows after the sale of our home and planned to stay a couple of months while we built a new house. We picked this park from the pictures of the barn with the play train and the pool. Both are lovely and well done/kept. Somehow, days have turned into months and now we call Rustic Meadows home:) The park is just off the highway but has a country feel. My four babies run in the grass, ride their bikes and play at the barn daily. All of the staff know them by name and graciously welcome them with smiles, fun projects and love. Everyone tries their very best to make you feel welcomed and a part of this unique family. If you are looking for a place to pull through for a night OR you are looking for a built in family because you are needing to stay a while, this is it. This is home. read more
