The animal keepers are extremely sweet and super knowledgeable. The actual museum itself is closed and they did say they don't have an exact date but to check in with them in a couple weeks. Hopefully we get to enjoy the museum soon! They also let us know the ranch house was open to explore so we checked it out. It's a self guided museum with lots of history to read about and see for yourself, so don't miss it before heading out of the park.

She made me and my boyfriend feel comfortable right away in the environment and could clearly tell we were a little awkward in the beginning and worked us into a place where by the end of the experience, we were all making jokes and cracking up like old friends. I'm 9 months pregnant, and Amanda was really accommodating when I got a little overheated. Amanda is an extremely talented artist and really gave my new to painting boyfriend the confidence he needed to embrace things and used language I understood from media I had worked in before to help guide me through working with acrylics. When we come back, it'll be because Amanda made our experience so great!

I just completed the "Connecting to Your True Creative Self" workshop at Indigo Equine this…read moreSaturday. I had no idea what to expect when I walked onto the ranch, and I ended up experiencing such an incredible day. 2020 has been a hard year for everyone, and this workshop was exactly what I needed to reground and get back in touch with myself and the world. I felt rejuvenated and refreshed afterwards, and highly recommend signing up for a workshop. We were a group of 3 women with our leader Andi, Horse Safety Manager Lisa, and photographer Jasmine. Master Chef Ed provided morning coffee (strong the way I like it!) and a delicious lunch on an open veranda. We had a full day of visualization and creative exercises lead by Andi. Not having done many workshops in the past, I felt very comfortable and supported by Andi (and everyone else), and I got a lot out of each activity. These exercises were interspersed with on the ground interactions with the Indigo Equine herd (currently numbering at 7 horses, 1 steer and growing). It was incredible meeting all of the herd and interacting with them. They are a motley crew to be sure, and have a lot share with their human interlopers! The day was very full, but we never felt rushed, and it was very relaxing. The ranch is just gorgeous and secluded, but only a 40 minute drive for me from mid-city Los Angeles. It was a great escape, and I left the workshop with useful tools to lean into for my day to day life (not to mention the beautiful journal, water bottle, hand sanitizer and mask that Andi provided at the beginning of the workshop!). All the activities were outside and felt very Covid safe. Everyone was wearing masks and respectful of social distancing (except for the horses!). I highly recommend booking a workshop at Indigo Equine if you are feeling a little ragged from the stresses of today's living. Take a day to let Andi and her team take care of you - you won't regret it!

Whether it was last-minute adjustments or specific requests, they made it happen without hesitation. The quality, flavor, and presentation were all amazing, and we received so many compliments from our guests throughout the night. For regular wine drinkers they have a membership which gives you a discount on all wine purchases by the glass or bottle. It also includes tastings (4) for two. Plus you receive invites to their twice per year Pick-up Parties. Each Pick-up is 6 bottles of wine of your customized choices, one in spring and one in fall. The parties (food, music and their new delicious wines and more) are epic and you get to meet the many wonderful members. Make no mistake, each season the wines improve. The downside for me was the tasting experience. Tastings are done at the counter, so we had to stand at the bar while tasting, even though there is plenty of beautiful seating throughout the property. There were three people working behind the bar. The two helpers were very kind, friendly, and seemed like they were learning the ropes. Unfortunately, the woman with the long black, curly/wavy hair seemed to be running the show, and her personality really put a damper on our experience. She came across as extremely cold and unwelcoming, and honestly looked like she didn't want to be there, girl looks miserable. We didn't stay after the tasting. I really like being able to relax and enjoy my time at a winery, and when the service feels unwelcoming, it takes away from the experience for me. I was there with two friends and was actually considering celebrating my birthday there, but I couldn't see myself spending more time in that atmosphere.
