Rusty Bull was really good. The servers were solid, and the venue is nice with an open layout and a Southern Texas charm. The chili was tasty with a great texture--hearty, thick, and cheesy. The steak was a great cut with no fat, cooked really well and full of flavor. The toast was fresh with the perfect crust. I'd give 5 stars, but I usually don't hand those out easily. The only downside for me was the mac and cheese--it wasn't hot, almost cold--but still better than boxed stuff. Overall, great service and a solid experience. This is the fourth year in a row. We visited your establishment when we are in the area for a competition. I decided to order something different so I got the chicken fried steak. We had a table of eight, everyone else's food was out, and they brought mine. When it arrived, it was literally ice cold. Took me a while to get the attention of the waitress, and I told her about it. She offered to get me another plate. It did however, come out piping hot, but everyone at my table was finished with their dinner. The waitress offered no compensation, so I chased down the Manager. I came here for the prime rib which is available only on Wednesdays. It was disappointing, unfortunately. I usually order prime rib medium rare. This was a solid rare which had been heated on the grill to achieve the medium rare temperature. I do not enjoy a seared prime rib. It also tasted like an "Everything Bagel" seasoning mix was used for the rib roast. The flavor just didn't work. The portion size, however, was good. The meal came with two sides and a garlic toast. I chose the seasonal vegetables and a dinner salad. The salad was fresh tasting and I enjoyed that. It was the best tasting item of the meal. The sautéed seasonal vegetables were just okay with a mix of broccoli, zucchini, summer squash, and peppers. Garlic toast was serviceable. Staff here is very friendly and efficient. No problems there. The restaurant was decorated nicely with plenty to look at while dining. I would probably return to try other items on the menu but definitely not return for the prime rib. read more

I am so excited to say that Rusty Bull has WRAPS! Today I tried the Roast Beef Wrap with potato salad. Before I get in to the wrap I have said it before and will say again, they have the BEST and COLDEST salads and potato salad and are totally my favorite in the High Desert. My wrap was huge I could not finish it and believe me, I am no small eater. Another PLUS - They have GARAGE BREWING CO on tap. I am so happy right now. A restaurant in my eyes and in this day and age MUST carry good brewery beer and once again Rusty Bull does not disappoint.
