Food was amazing! Went for the first time last week for lunch, it got pretty busy with big groups so our service was slow, but over all everything was great! Will be back

My husband and I have been here twice from Barstow and don't have a single complaint - everything fresh off of the grill has been absolutely amazing and I would write home about the coleslaw. The mashed potatoes are to die for. We haven't met a rude employee at all - they are killing it for the restaurant they are & area they are in.

Outstanding food and service. It's definitely better now that the ownership has changed. The building is beautiful. We have been back there several times now.

This review is for happy hour: Can't beat this happy hour! $5 draft beers (even craft). Nice little menu of snacks and wings for very cheap! This place is growing on me. Bartenders are friendly!

I've been driving past this restaurant for years and finally decided to try it out on a special occasion. I believe there's new ownership but I'm just glad we were able to experience this jewel in the High Desert. The restaurant is very spacious and there's a nice and chill vibe to it with the exposed wood look. It seems like it'll be a great spot to host an event for your friends and family. You seat yourself and our waitress (Riss H, who was amazing by way) came to our table immediately and gave us our menu and took our drink order. I'm also glad that it wasn't busy during the time we went because it seems like you could potentially be left waiting a while if you do have to seat yourself. I guess we'll find out later! With it being our first time, we definitely had to splurge on whatever sounded good and what we could compare with another restaurant. The wait time from ordering to plate on table was not that long. It's probably because our waitress (Riss H) was on top of everything. She made sure to check on us all the time and made us feel like we were regulars. She was a great help! Starting with the shareables; They were all AMAZING! The potato skins had the right crisp with refreshing pico. The corn ribs were elote approved and delicious. The pork belly bites were served on a bed of french fries smothered in bbq sauce; fries were still crispy even with the bbq sauce dripping from the bites. The onion ring tower were crisp'd to perfection! The crunch was loud and the sauces it came with were great (ranch and a chipotle type). The main entrees were AWESOME. Wifey had baby back ribs with mac and cheese and baked potato. Ribs were nice and easy to eat with slither off the bone, and the mac and cheese was creamy. Niecey had the picanha steak medium rare, baked potato, and the seasonal veggies. Steak was cooked perfectly to the request, and the broccoli and cauliflower was steamed well. I had the chicken alfredo flatbread, and it was a masterpiece. I just wished it was a little crispier. The arugula that is served with everything gives the dishes a dynamic that is unmatched. Dessert was ASTOUNDING. The churro dulce de leche cake with chocolate ice cream was a surprise and fulfilled the sweet tooth we needed after the tanginess of all the bbq flavor. The cake was warm with some crunchy texture that worked well with the coolness of the ice cream. We will definitely be visiting Town's End again!

String that was in my food

We typically enjoy coming here but the last few trips haven't been the cleanest. Once there was a fly in our margarita, we had to send it back. This next time the fork was dirty and a string in our food.

I had been hearing about Townsend on social media for a while and had been wanting to check it out. We were on our way to Olson Photography to pick up our pictures, but they were closed for lunch from 12-1 p.m. Since we had some time to kill, we decided to stop by Townsend. I'm so glad we did! The place is huge, beautiful, and has such a great atmosphere. The patio alone impressed me, and once we walked inside, we were greeted right away by a friendly staff. Everyone was welcoming and made us feel comfortable. I loved the music, the soccer game on TV, and the overall vibe. They even let us sample a few beers before we ordered, which was a nice touch. My favorite was the White Wheat from Barstow Brewery. The service was excellent. I didn't catch our server's name, but she was such a sweetheart and really made our first visit enjoyable. We'll definitely be back, especially in the evening to check out the live band. If you've been thinking about trying Townsend, I highly recommend

They have a great happy hour menu for food and drinks. The ceviche and chips were delicious. We ordered the tacos, carne asada and chicken to try them both. They were good but nothing to brag about. I noticed one waitress sitting at the bar and chatting with what I think is a personal friend. There were little fruit flies buzzing around. Probably from bar area. The place could be cleaner. The rest rooms needed cleaning. The place needs larger attractive sign outside on street to draw in more customers. Larger happy hour menu. Had more color on the inside or better decor. The possibility is endless. Bar needs attention. I had friends talk about going as well and agree with suggestions.

I assumed that their focus was on whisky, and certainly not on food. But then, one day, I passed by in the evening, when Drift was actually open. I saw a lot of people inside, so I thought I would check it out. The moment I walked inside and smelled that wonderful smoky flavor, I had a feeling my assumption was very wrong. I checked out the menu, which had me at brisket, and I committed to eating there as soon as possible. As soon as possible was the next day. I tried the brisket, which was fantastic! It was moist and tender without being fatty. And, it had a great smoky flavor. I went back to Drift four times that week, including twice in one day. Everything I have tried has been great - the pulled pork, beef rib (absolutely amazing) and turkey. I haven't tried the chicken or pork ribs yet, but I plan to very soon. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that the bbq baked beans are among, if not the best, I have ever eaten. Service at Drift has always been really friendly. The environment is casual and fun (at times a little too noisy for me, but I'm pretty old and have a little trouble hearing conversation in noisy environments). I'm so glad I looked past my initial perception of Drift and gave it a try. It has become one of my favorite restaurants in San Clemente.
