Came by to check out this place as a potential meeting venue for a car club. Cosmos Taverna is a very large establishment space wise. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The menu has the typical fare found in other sports bars and pubs. There is even a make your own pasta option. The menu is extensive. I ordered a ribeye steak as it was recommended by previous reviewers. It came with soup and salad options and a side. I chose a clam chowder soup and broccoli as my side. Food comes out of the kitchen as it is made so, if in a large group (10+), be prepared for a rather long wait and plates coming out piece meal. The generously sized ribeye steak was at the requested medium rare temperature but it was a very thin cut. It was seasoned simply with salt and pepper. The steak was tender and juicy with a good char grilled flavor. The broccoli was cooked to a crisp tender and tasted good. Clam chowder came out of the kitchen only a few minutes before my main so I enjoyed that with my steak. This was a good tasting chowder, albeit with more potatoes than minced clams. There seems to be a blue cheese tanginess in the chowder which is different from the usual. If there was cheese, it was a good flavor addition. This restaurant would be perfect for large groups in general as there is plenty of space to accommodate. It was not what we were looking for as a club meeting place due to the overall loud background music but the food and beverage options here are A1. Their fish and chips and BBQ ribs looked particularly appealing. I would certainly return to get another good meal here. read more

OMG.... where to began... walked in on Tuesday at 545pm 1. Walk into heavy metal music playing on juke box 3 more head banging songs 2. Ordered our drinks draft beer and skinny margarita.. 3. Ordered food.. fish and chips and 2 street tacos.. 1 chicken 1 steak 1 hr 4 minute no food!!!!! Supposedly, one cook was on his break and the other cook couldn't handle the orders.. i have family members that own restaurants. I worked in the restaurant industry. If you want slow service then you've come to the right spot. Slowest service in the high desert. And if you're not the preferred crowd you'll be the last one they ask if you need help. However, when it comes to food, I can confidently say it's the best spot for a Ribeye steak--definitely one of the finest! Never would have thought I would leave this joint having crushed five of the best street tacos I've ever had. I'm a taco aficionado, and I know you might find tasty tacos in the most unassuming corners of the world. That's exactly what happened here. Came in for the Khamzat fight. Great atmosphere and solid service. Unfortunately, the traditional wings were pretty bad, and the Cosmos nachos didn't hit the mark either. I was greeted immediately by the bartender and then my outstanding, welcoming and inviting server Kate. I placed my order for my favorite drink and other items from there well thought out menu choices. Mt food arrived; OMG, it was so fresh, deliciously and promptly prepared to my satisfaction. I also learned this location has a host of fun and inviting themes event nights, as Kate took time to explain Cosmos many events that I could come back and enjoy with family and friends.
