There's a great party room where we got to have food and the arcade/billiards area is awesome. And - surprise! - their women's bathroom is incredible! Like I walked into the Davenport!! Super thoughtful and considerate, especially for breastfeeding moms. All equipment was in great condition! We'll be back again for sure!

I wish I could request a full refund for my money and my TIME. I could not have had a worse experience. First off, the staff was Extremely rude. The front desk worker was so mean and unprofessional. We watched the safely video that we have seen 100 times before but sat through it listened. The lady asked us questions about the video and we answered them all correctly. She then said that she could here us talking at points during the video so we have to re-watch it and starting screaming at us for some reason. We had a reservation at 1:30 and did not get on the track tell 3:00. While we were rewatching the video she had 2 groups go ahead of us for some reason so we had to wait an hour. She did not apologize or anything. She must have been feeling a need to assert power for some reason. When we finally got on the track, one of the workers was cool and professional. The other one with glasses was a complete loser. We are just minding our business having a friendly race and he decides to join the race to prove how good of a driver he is. He keeps trying to pass my little brother and can't, and eventually bumps into him and spins out. We are all confused why a working is bumping into people then freaks out and kicks all off the track. We did not receive any warnings or anything. They said we will not receive a refund either. Absolutely pathetic from them. Overall I do not know what is worse? The service or the racing. As soon as they see you have fun on the track they will just yell at you for bumping or going too fast. If you are reading this DO NOT COME HERE. SAVE YOUR MONEY

I didn't catch her name, but she wore glasses and seemed to be on the spectrum. That actually makes her performance even more impressive--she handled the crowd with confidence, warmth, and professionalism, and truly stood out. I really hope the team can identify her because she deserves recognition for a job exceptionally well done. The ride itself is such a unique attraction, and very reasonably priced for the experience. The gondola cabins felt sturdy, clean, and well-maintained, which made the ride comfortable and stress-free. Of course, the waterfall views are stunning, but what really surprised me was the wildlife. I spotted a yellow-bellied marmot--something I had never seen before! Someone on the ride mentioned those are native to the area, and coming from San Jose, I was honestly delighted and a little mind-blown to see such a unique animal in the wild. All around, an amazing experience with top-tier service, beautiful scenery, and even a few unexpected highlights. Highly recommend if you're in Spokane!

One thing…read moreto note is that the gondola makes frequent stops along the way to load and unload passengers, which is pretty annoying, since it disrupts the flow and experience. In my opinion, it's not really worth the price. While the views are nice, they aren't significantly better than what you can see by simply walking along the park paths. Just save yourself the $15 and enjoy a short walk down the park path.

I had to quit the racetrack.... The word of the week is sexism and Finley Speedway is ran by sexist…read moremen. This had happened many times and im done. Cameron and I were very excited to work the speedway this summer. Willingly giving up our weekends and telling our current employer that this was a commitment we wanted to keep. Our primary employer agreed to let us make up the hours through the week (come in early, stay late whatever) so we could leave early on Friday to make it to track on time. Last night I was helping with parking, my job was to wave a flag to direct traffic through two flags with a space about 10 feet apart. There was only one entrance and it was also the exit to this parking lot. That entrance had to be shared with the cars and the people coming and leaving the event. At the same time cars are going through there are about 6000 people using the same entrance to get to the event. There were multiple times a kid or someone with a wheelchair almost got hit. I'm trying to move people along and directing vehicles as safely as I can though this small space. It was not hard and nothing bad happened. I was waving a flag to direct traffic. While I'm doing my job a man on a four wheeler is coming and going through the traffic I was directing. He was Stopping traffic so he could cross back and forth. I didn't think much of it, a few mins later he stops and starts yelling at me. Telling me I need to get the cars moving fast. He was very aggressive. I explained to him there is not much more I can do other then wave the flag, the traffic was continually moving. Traffic had slowed due to the collection of parking payments (which I was not conducting). I had zero control over how fast the traffic was going. He yelled at me again and asked "If he has to do it himself" I replied if you think you can wave this flag better go ahead. I'm very upset at this point. I dont know who he was, or if he even worked there or not. He was a stranger yelling very aggressively at me. My supervisor came out and I asked him if this guy works there and the guy starts yelling at me again. The reason why I believe he was being sexist is because there was a whole field of men and he singled me out. I don't know if he thought I would just take it or what. I did not I matched his tone in response because no man especially a co-worker should yell at me, I was just doing my assigned job. I did nothing wrong and he singled me out. There is a powertrip problem at that place and it's disgusting. I had zero training, they gave me a shirt and told me to do the job, and then get angry when things go differently than their unstated expectations. One supervisor will tell us to do one thing then another will tell us something completely different. Their lack of organization has put the safety of many at risk. I had to stop traffic a few times to let people cross, but a child being hit by a car would be a much bigger problem then getting people to a parking spot at a faster rate. They do not care about the safety of their employees or patrons and only care about the money patrons spend. There should be at least another opening for people to cross safety that is not next the moving traffic. I will not be continuing to support this speedway and suggest you don't either until something is done about the sexism and lack of safety. I have worked in a male dominate industry for a while now and have never been talked to or treated the way I was at the Speedway. also have not been paid.

Every time I sign up for something and say "this is it, it's time to actually get ready for this" - life lifes! and I find myself nearing the start line saying something like, "just crank this mary out today and have fun- enjoy the course". That's what happened with Coeur d'Alene! I registered on 2/18 after making a rather large life decision and said this is it, I'll train out and really pour into this prior to MDW. A rather enormous training period for someone who can roll out of bed on a Sunday and jog a marathon but life did its thing and I got side tracked with some large life choices and the "training" took a back seat. I thought I'd have to scrap this race all together but when it turned out I could make it work after a relocation and months of packing, followed by a couple of weeks of moving- I bought a new flight, revised my hotel dates to only come in to pick up my bib, run and make it happen! Despite feeling fairly worn out from the weeks leading up I was so excited and thankful to be in town to participate. This course is stunning. It reminded me a little of one of my other fav marathon courses (Cape Cod). There were several pacers but only a 3:30 pacer and a 4:30 pacer near my times, and 3:30 is still a dream for snail marathoner like me. I knew 4:30 would be rather conservative but also the best bet for where I was at to help ensure I remain injury free. Shawn the 4:30 pacer was amazing!! His energy and positive, fun vibe made this run even more special. I love when ultra runners pace marathons because I feel like such a clown the second I even dare think I'm feeling the least bit fatigued, knowing they'll run 75+ more miles for a run. They really put things in perspective and help marathons feel like a 20min 5k in your local park. I'd highly recommend this marathon if you like small races with beautiful, tranquil, serene vibes. Everyone called this the hottest day of the year but with recently moving to TX 80s felt dreamy! All in all I still boarded my flight feeling like I'd run BPN Last Man Standing not a measly 26.2. I told myself shake it off and have been getting around fairly nicely since. Lastly, about a month ago I remember writing "may bib 261 find me at a marathon check in". The thing about life is, you can't wait around for any one thing to find you- you need to go out and get it. I was given bib 164 and figured I'm less than 100 from what I want. I got back in line, took a chance and asked for it. To my most grateful surprise, sitting in another box it was brought over and swapped out for me. If you don't know the history behind this bib, go educate yourself! Can't wait to run this marathon again! I think I'll plan on training and running it next MDW for time ;)

Update: Vanessa from Triple Play finally contacted my wife today…read more What is frustrating is that her own message confirms exactly why this situation has been such a mess. She stated that their Sales Manager had a couple digits mixed up in Allison's phone number when he tried calling earlier in the week. That means Triple Play publicly claimed they attempted to reach out and had not received a response, while the real issue was that their own staff had the wrong number -- a phone number they had access to all along through the event planning process. So again, this was not simply "confusion between pass types." This was poor communication, poor follow-through, and poor handling of a group event involving children and families. First the arcade credit issue was not handled correctly at the event. Then the follow-up was mishandled. Then it was publicly framed as if we were not responding, when in reality they had mixed up the phone number. I do appreciate that Vanessa finally spoke with Allison and that they are now working on refunding the remaining arcade credit. That is what should have happened from the beginning. But the fact remains: our group spent over $2,000, the girls were let down in the moment, we had to pay the $225 ourselves to make it right for the kids, and the follow-up only happened after multiple public responses and updates. I am glad they are finally taking steps to correct part of it, but this entire situation still shows why I would strongly warn anyone planning a group event here to get every single detail in writing, verify every promise before arriving, and make sure you know exactly who is responsible if something goes wrong.

The only reason being is that it's the only outdoor mini course in Spokane. Staff - The only gal who was working was quite pleasant and tried to make the place fun, while three other guys just looked surly and bored to be there. Arcade - The worst I've played at. Over a third of the games were offline or not working. The ones that we tried either errored out or were claw machines. Beware of the claw machines! I overheard a staff member tell another patron that they are on the highest setting for limited payout. We probably tried one that contained various Sonic characters around 30 times, and still wasn't on payout. Prize Counter - pretty sad looking and only tailored to kids, which I get, but a lot of arcades now tend to have a mixture that would lure adults. If we do come back, it would only be for the outside mini golf, but I would rather drive 40 minutes to go to Triple Plays outside mini golf, along with a decent arcade.
