We were immediately greeted with a big smile from a gentleman who proudly shared that he's been working there for 23 years. He took the time to explain everything, from the teen karts (which go up to 30 mph) to the adult karts (up to 40 mph). I was impressed to learn that licensed 16-year-olds can drive the adult karts..neat and a little scary! They offer a private room, though note that private events aren't booked on weekends and reservations aren't taken. However, if it's not busy, the private room is often available. Also, any racer under 18 needs a waiver signed by a guardian 24 hours in advance. The day of the party, we arrived early since it's first-come, first-served. The ladies at the counter were friendly and set us up in the private room, which was perfect for our group of twelve 16-year-olds. The space is roomy, has AV capabilities, and features a huge window overlooking the track. There's even an order window in the room for added convenience! The food options exceeded my expectations as well--the menu is larger than I expected, and the pizzas and tater tots we ordered were pretty tasty. We'll definitely be back. Such a great experience!

From the moment we walked in, the energy was high--bright, clean, and full of excitement. The karts are fast, smooth, and really well-maintained. You can tell they put a lot of effort into safety as well as fun. The staff goes over everything clearly before you start, so even first-timers feel comfortable and confident. Once you're out on the track, though, it's pure adrenaline! The layout is great, with enough twists and turns to keep things interesting without being overwhelming. For families, this is a fantastic activity. Our kids had a blast, and it was so fun to see everyone laughing and getting into the competition. That said, it can get a little pricey if you're bringing a big group, but the experience is unique enough that it feels worth it for a special outing. What I really appreciate is the professionalism of the staff. They're friendly, patient, and keep things running smoothly even when the place is busy. The facility itself is clean, modern, and has more to offer than just karting--they've got other activities, food, and areas to hang out, which makes it easy to spend a whole afternoon here. Overall, Speedway Indoor Karting is a must-do if you're looking for something exciting and different. Whether you're a racing enthusiast or just want a fun activity for the family, you'll leave with big smiles and great memories. Highly recommend!

So I'm assuming they're not new, which I would prefer or I would bring my own lol.

There are also a lot of entry points, so make sure to choose which one is closest to your seats and your parking for easiest ingress and egress. This was my first time here, and has been rather a dream to come check out. LUCKILY i have some extended family that lives not far from the track. I only purchased tickets for the finals day because i didn't want to make a job out of coming for a whole week. I ended up going with the Top Eliminator Club tickets, which have a stout price, but it comes with some actual nice perks! There is a separate building you can go chill at with tons of seating and tv's everywhere to keep an eye on the action. It is an all-day event, so being able to go relax somewhere a little less loud and sit with your food is pretty nice. Outside there are tents that had I think 10 different types of drinks available free for TEC and you get breakfast in the morning which was fruit and sugary treats and then for lunch you get (1) run thru the lunch line so load up! (the wrist band has a thing they cut off) The food was pretty dang good! i figured after being in those big steamer trays for awhile all the flavor would have evaporated. It was well worth the extra cost and my wife who does not follow racing at all enjoyed the whole experience. The whole body rumble from the nitro funny cars was intense to say the least so the TEC building is a pretty cool thing to retreat to. I can't wait to do this again!

The NHRA U.S. Nationals runs here on Labor Day weekend each year. It's the biggest, the longest and most historic drag racing event in the world. We always enjoy seeing the Pro Stocks, Funny Cars, Mototcycles, Alcohol Dragsters and Top Fuel Dragsters on the well maintained track. In 2008, NHRA shorten the distance of the Funny Car and Top Fuel Dragster car races to 1,000 feet from the standard quarter-mile for safety reasons. Acres of parking including ADA parking along with camping is available. There really isn't a bad seat in the stands but I always recommend purchasing reserved seating in the grandstands. I prefer to sit in section BB and fairly high up. Yes, you'll smell like nitro but hopefully the wind is blowing the smoke away from your seat. Oh, and earplugs or ear protectors are highly recommended as the cars are LOUD! Rain delayed the 2022 festivities on Saturday when we were there but after the track was dry, around 2:00, it was back-to-back racing the remainder of the day. Shortly after announcements started a sky driver floated down carrying a briefcase with $80,000 prize money for the Pep Boys NHRA Top Fuel All-Star Callout Speciality Race with Steve Torrence winning the prize money. The other exciting run on Saturday was Justin Ashley in a Top Fuel Dragster who broke the track record with 335.032 but Brittany Force broke Ashley's new record on Sunday with 337.75.

Want to go behind the wheel with a legend at the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway? Live out those racing dreams and more with Indy Racing Experience. Shonda Kennedy was such an amazing contact. She was great about answering my million questions leading up to the raceday experience. Safety, social distancing during a pandemic, what to wear, what to expect, how to book. Shonda answered all of these questions and more. It was so nice to meet her in the trailer on a perfectly clear cool autumn morning where she gave us our gear, as we were fitted in a full fire suit and shoes for the day. Next, we met Scott Jasek for a short orientation. He gave a great overview to both the car and the track. Then, it was off to the speedway. Several options and opportunities are available for riding with a race car driver, driving a IndyCar or both. Race car enthusiasts can even have a once in a lifetime opportunity to ride with legend Mario Andretti in the 200 MPH Club which is offered once a year. Next, it was on to the track. I have been to 33 Indy 500's and this has heightened my impression of the drivers. Some riders did take the time to talk to the drivers so it must be ok to do so.

On Scene: Bobby Pierce won the Lucas Oil Series race here on Sunday, September 23rd, 2018. I took over 50 pictures while at this race track as you can see for this listing. I review race tracks based on the following; concession stands, view of track, facilities, parking, scoreboard, and smoking. Additionally, as an added bonus, if they have an overhead roof is a plus. A feature I haven't thought of as being important at a race track. But, it came in handy here since it was a rainy weekend. More on this later. Concession Stands: Every time I visited the concession stand, I noticed no lines or only 1 or 2 people in line. I think this is because they are fast and they have more choices to choose from. Additionally, they have more people working the concession stands. Furthermore, there were some other vendors selling food and drinks behind the concession stands. Over head roof: This race track has something other race tracks that I have been to -don't have. They have an overhead roof. I liked this, as you don't have to worry about getting sunburnt. More importantly, I didn't worry about getting rained on. Facilities: They have bathroom facilities with running water. So, you can wash your hands. Track View: I had a great seat as I noticed you could see the whole race track from just about any seat in the grandstands. It's important to see all race cars race around the oval dirt track as a race fan. Parking: I had no problems in parking. The attendant said I could park anywhere. Also, I had no problems leaving the race after the race was over. Scoreboard: This race track has a scoreboard to keep track of the top 5 drivers. I like a race track that has this feature so you can tell who the leader is at all times. Smoking: There was no problem of anyone around me smoking. Although, smoking is allowed, there wasn't too many race car fans smoking around me. Thus, I enjoyed the race without worrying about second hand smoke blowing in my direction. My Experience: I got to see Scott Bloomquist sign autographs for race car fans at his souvenir trailer. My favorite late model race car driver almost won the race here today. This Jonathan Davenport. Jonathan led most of the laps during the second half of the race. But, Bobby Pierce passed Jonathan Davenport on the last lap with about 30 feet or so to go to the finish line. What a race. It was about the best race I have seen.
