Never make an appointment with this Dr. I went to see him because I had recently moved to the area…read moreand was looking for a primary care physician. He had the soonest opening. Until this appointment, I have NEVER filed any kind of a formal complaint against a medical professional (and there have been a couple times that I thought about it). After my appointment with Dr. Scarr, I went straight home and made a complaint through The Everett Clinic's customer service website. More concerning to me than his general lack of respect and professionalism were the following: 1. He did no more than make a cursory glance at the medical history I had just provided to the assistant before jumping to several (incorrect) conclusions about why I was there and how he wanted to treat me. 2. He made multiple out of date, incorrect, and potentially dangerous statements about the treatment of Hashimoto's thyroiditis (a specific autoimmune thyroid disease). And made some rude remarks about my concerns being cosmetic in nature rather than truly medical. 3. He doesn't understand depression and the need for pharmaceutical treatment. Period. And he is insensitive when discussing it. I left in tears and absolutely furious. Most telling to me was that when I scheduled a follow-up appointment with a different doctor the receptionist didn't bat an eye and signed me right up with a primary care physician that hadn't been accepting new patients when I called three days before.

this doctor is insensitive. He may have helped damage my hearing permantly . I saw a walk in doctor…read moreabout my hearing and there was no communicaiton betiween Dr Scarr and the walk in doctor. .After that Dr Scarr put me on sudafed for my ear. He said he knows nothing about the ear but he tried to treat it anyway. He wasted lots of precious time. THere is only so much time to treat a hearing loss before it gets worse.. HE didn't put me on prednisone which should have been the first course of action, He didn't take anything about me seriously. I don['t think he likes disabled clients. I may have had more hearing if he would have referred me to a specialist. He had no business treaing a hearing loss when he said he know nothing aboutt it. He always ran into the room and ran right back out after just a few miinues.

Would rate this 0/5 stars if I could. I scheduled an annual…read moreappointment and checked in at the front desk with no issues.. during the appointment itself, everything was normal. I've had physicals in the past so I know how they go. There was nothing out of the ordinary in this one. They took my blood, listened to heartbeat, did reflexes, etc. I finished and was sent on my way. 2 weeks later I surprisingly receive a bill and it appears that my insurance didn't cover anything at all, despite insurance supposedly covering annual check-ups. I call their billing dept. and was told that since I mentioned having more headaches than normal, it was an office visit rather than an annual checkup? Wtf? I've had physicals in the past where they ask how I'm doing and I tell them honestly and have never been billed. I ask why wasn't I told during my check in, and the person on the phone says that the medical assistant tried to called me but couldn't reach me and so they changed it without my knowledge and consent. If I had known that I was going to get charged for bringing up a topic I COULD LITERALLY GOOGLE, I would have never came in. Procedures for a physical were also conducted so why isn't that also there in the notes? Very sus and super opaque by my standards. They also said that the doctor told me during the exam but that's a lie, because I would have left immediately. What incentive does a doctor have to tell you that you'd be billed for something, when they get paid for it? It seems like this clinic doesn't give two hoots about the actual health of their patients and are just out for your money. I had multiple calls trying to talk to someone who could do something about this, but all they said was that "we can't change it because the service was provided". So, if I go in, and they give me something I never asked for, I'm billed? I'm out $400, because of negligence and a lack of effort to try to do the right thing. These people are horrible and don't care about you. Also keep in mind that you must lie to your doctor during physicals if there's anything wrong, because if you tell the truth, they'll bill you. Doesn't make a lot of sense, does it?

He would listen to our medical problem, we weren't rushed in and out in 5 minutes, and he would do his best to actually help. Now its just a business to him with the sorry you have to wait six weeks to get in no matter what the issue is, then you get 5 minutes of time rushing your appointment through so the next patient in line can be seen for their 5 minutes. Plus we can only address one of your medical issues today you will need to schedule a second appointment again with a 6 week wait because time was not allotted for more then 5 minutes. Not to mention don't be late because if you are guess what you won't be seen. I wonder how many dozens of times we have all waited past our appointment times for a Dr. who was running behind for one reason or another. This includes times I have been scheduled with Dr. Rittenberg. Everyone's time is just as valuable as a Doctors. Hopefully this review, should he read it, will help him find a way back to caring for his patients, caring for human beings, and remembering that when he earned his medical degree an oath was taken to help those in need of medical treatment not how much are we charging today for that 5 minutes of our time we are blessing you with. Thankfully I have found a Dr. that still treats people without worrying about Corporate America.
