(My new neurosurgeon had presented my case to a team of his cohorts, and they came to this conclusion together.) Keem's office consistently fails to provide pre-op and intra-operative photos to members of my care team who request them; multiple neurosurgeons have tried. No one except Keem's office has seen them. Context is included in my two reviews below this one. Keem allowed me to feel like it was hopeless, that the disc would "continue" slipping indefinitely due to the default of my own body. Keem looked me in the eyes and lied to my face the two times he had the courage to show his face to me after his failed surgery (and one of these was a presumably forced meeting facilitated by the Polyclinic's risk management department). He's unscrupulous, which a surgeon should never be. I wouldn't trust him with a houseplant. I've had innumerable complications as a result of this failed surgery. My career as a dancer is over. I've chipped multiple teeth from my post-op convulsions. I've gotten a diagnosis of PTSD. I'm going to be different for the rest of my life. I'm moving forward with a lawsuit.

I wish he would have told me that at the preop. I would have gotten another opinion. I asked him to do his best but it still isn't right. The cement also leaked out during surgery! When I asked about what could go wrong at the preop, leakage was his answer. When I asked how often this happens, he replied that he's done over 3,000 and never had it happen. Hard to believe I was his first of over 3,000. The other vertebrae hasn't caused any problem since the surgery. Rather than seeing the doctor for my post op he sent me to his assistant. I never saw him after surgery or since.

You feel like you have a partner in making decisions about your healthcare when Dr. Hutchison is your doctor. In addition to her wonderful bedsude manner, she is a highly skilled surgeon, trained in robotic surgery as well as all minimally invasive surgery. She is a meticulous surgeon and has a great reputation within the medical community. As a physician I refer patients to Dr. Hutchison and know they are in the best of hands. I highly recommend her as a kind, compassionate and highly skilled physician for all gynecologic surgery and care.

This is not a review specifically of Dr. Hutchinson (whom I have never met), but of her practice of routinely ordering an HPV test (along with paps) for all patients, regardless of whether or not it is indicated. My insurance plan paid for the pap (a preventive test), but not the HPV, and I was stuck with a $50 bill net of the insurance discount. Dr. Hutchinson's office should have informed me of the tests they were going to do and provided me with an opportunity to opt out. The office also did not notify me of the results until I spoke with them about the billing problem.

I was referred to a doctor that actually practiced a block away from where I lived. When I went there, that doctor wasn't taking any new patients (I can't even remember his name now). Dr. Travis saw me that day. He's been my doctor ever since and become someone that I trust with my entire family. I've been through a lot with Dr. Travis. I know that he genuinely cares about my health and well-being. When I go to see him, I recognize that he is patient centered. He will spend as much time with me as I need, whether that is 5 minutes or 40 minutes. I respect that and often find myself in the waiting room. But that's okay. That's how I know that he gives every patient the same quality of care that he is giving me. I'm don't feel like a patient with Dr. Travis; I feel like a person. I can name countless occasions where Dr. Travis has worked to get me healthy, diagnose a condition, or make fantastic referrals to other providers. I have always appreciated his openness to different forms of treatment as I disagree with providers that move directly toward medication when it is not necessary. I've always felt that he has provided me with information to enable me to make choices about my care, while also offering his expert opinion. Whenever I see Dr. Travis, I hear about his continuing efforts to learn and grow. I love that about him. I want a provider that is up-to-date on new techniques, ideas, and theories. I can't imagine anyone else taking care of me or my family.

His brain is like a computer with its knowledge, when he willingly takes the time to explain things and answer all your questions. He has a great capacity to expertly treat what he can, or refer a patient to a specialist when he can't. As an internist, his specialty is skin problems. He is bright, up to speed on current medical developments, attentive, and available. I would never consider shopping for another doctor, am very happy here.

Sociable and friendly doc who didn't seem to be rushing through patients, and took the time to answer the numerous questions I had. Zero rush, answers all my questions, and most importantly, provides immense education and insight. I learn something new every single visit. Dr. Cahn saw me sitting in the waiting room and insisted I sit with him. In fact, I found myself spewing all that was going - for over 45 mins. I left that day with some referrals, potential answers, a link to an article and a feeling that I may just figure out what is going on. Dr Cahn's priority is his patients. He's got the kind of heart that you can only hope for in a family doc. And his PA and NP - the same. Both are incredible. His staff, family, even Lucy (the amazingly gentle and therapeutic office golden doodle) make an appt with him a welcomed visit to get better. I couldn't say enough about the best doctor I've ever had.
