The Original Hot Dog Factory completely redefines what a gourmet hot dog experience should be. As…read moresomeone who appreciates a well-executed classic, I was thoroughly impressed by how they elevate simple comfort food into a destination-worthy meal. The logistical experience here is completely seamless. I ordered ahead for pickup, and the transition from arriving to walking out with my food was effortless and perfectly timed. The establishment itself is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, creating an inviting space the moment you step through the door. What really amplifies the vibe, though, is the hospitality. The staff is incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive, which sets a fantastic tone before you even take your first bite.As for the food, the execution across the board is outstanding. I tried three distinct regional styles, and each brought its own unique character to the table. The Carolina Slaw Dog is a beautiful balance of textures, pairing a juicy, perfectly grilled sausage with a mountain of crisp, cool, and tangy coleslaw that cuts through the richness beautifully. The New Yorker plays the hits flawlessly, topped with robust, savory sauerkraut and a sharp drizzle of mustard that delivers that authentic, classic snap. My absolute favorite of the lineup, however, was the Chicago Dog. It is a vibrant, color-packed masterpiece loaded with the mandatory neon relish, crisp pickle spears, fresh tomatoes, and that essential dash of celery salt. Every single bite hits the perfect harmony of salty, sweet, and tangy flavors. You cannot skip the sides here either. I ordered a mix of both the regular and sweet potato fries. The regular fries are golden, perfectly salted, and boast a flawless, shattering crunch on the outside while staying light and fluffy inside. The sweet potato fries provide a stellar contrast, featuring a beautifully caramelized exterior and a tender, naturally sweet center.Whether you are a hot dog purist or looking for a creative twist on a classic staple, this spot delivers on quality, cleanliness, and stellar customer service. It is a highly recommended addition to your local food rotation.

I visited this location regularly, often twice a week, because it was convenient to my job, and I genuinely wanted to support a Black-owned business. Unfortunately, I had an interaction with someone I understood to be the owner's wife that left me feeling deeply offended. During that interaction, I felt that my character was unfairly questioned and that I was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with her husband simply because I was a loyal customer. Whether intended or not, the experience was humiliating and completely changed my opinion of this establishment. No customer should leave feeling personally attacked or disrespected. I can no longer recommend this location based on how I was treated, and I hope management takes customer concerns and professionalism more seriously.

It's in a food hall so where it's at you have free parking. It's a really nice building and it looks like it was a food hall building that won some awards for aesthetics so it's very nice to look at. You'll come in and there's nobody to greet you, but there are people walking around and people behind the stalls and you have plenty of options to pick from. And it's kind of a multi-room situation because one part of the establishment has a lot of the food hall stalls and the other part of it has a couple stalls, some rooms you can probably reserve, and a very large bar. They have plenty of specials on some signage screens so if you go in just be aware of that. They have events like happy hour and music being played on a live situation and some other thing so just keep that in mind. Anyway, specifically about the hot dog situation, I ordered and got a beeper when it was ready. I got it and it was okay. It seemed like it was more chilly than it was dog. And because I'm from Michigan, I'm very critical on what a Coney dog should be like. Do you want the hot dog to be covered but not drowned in the chili. So not that it's bad but as you can guess this got pretty messy LOL. I thought it was tasty. It's not like home but it was pretty good. When I try other hot dogs from there, I would actually. I definitely would. It was a pretty good experience because I got the wok and see what other places were there so that was nice. But I had to do the Coney because it reminded me a little bit of home LOL.
