We often had to act as our own project managers just to keep things moving. The workmanship is disappointing: misaligned and warped handrails, a floorboard cut too short leaving a gap, and a crooked concrete pad at the base of the stairs. Despite assurances these issues would be fixed, once we paid in full the follow-through stopped. Two months ago they came to inspect the problems, but since then we've had no response. We haven't been able to stain the deck because repairs haven't been made. For the price and their reputation, we expected far better. Instead, we're left with an overpriced deck and a company unwilling to stand behind its work.

I told Scott that I am a repeat customer as we had EZE Breeze windows installed on our previous house and enjoyed them so much that we wanted to install on the house we just purchased this week. Scott agreed to meet me at the new house on Thursday May 19th but never showed up and never called. I left him a voicemail to call me back but he has not returned my phone call. This is very disappointing as we had such good service from ScreenMobile Charlotte and can't even get a call back or actual appointment with ScreenMobile Atlanta. #disappointedcustomer #screenmobileatlanta

Firelight Homes was started by two former superintendents from Dovetail Homes, both of which worked…read moreon my custom home build. These guys describe themselves as the "perfect team", but my experience with them was more like the perfect storm. The fact is I am still dealing with the shoddy work in which they supervised. For starters, they laid the foundation on my detached garage incorrectly. It is several inches too high, but the cost to tear it down and fix was way too much, so I have had to deal with it. The garage being higher than the main house did mess up the attached porte cochere, which cost me thousands to make look right. Also, one of the owners of Firelight supervised the brick work on my house, and he gave the brick layers the wrong instructions despite a note from me on the story board instructing him how the brick work was to be done. Again, many thousands in repairs to get it done correctly. Windows were put in the wrong places under their supervision. They put all the electrical outlets way too high on the wall, all of which had to be re-done at my expense. They made changes to my custom build without my authorization. For example, one of the owners of Firelight, just put an arch around my bathroom for no apparent reason. Just more money wasted. He also decided to make a bathroom bigger at the expense of the elevator shaft. Another time, they made the arches on my patio a foot shorter than what was indicated on the plan. Again, all of this ended up being repaired at my expense. They failed to properly supervise the plumber, and I had to re-do every bath pan in the house because they were done incorrectly. Again, thousands wasted. They installed the sheet rock before the house was ready, and as a result, we failed the inspection by the city. A good deal of the sheet in my house had to be taken down and re-done. I could go on and on. As you can see, my home build was a complete nightmare, and the "perfect" team at Firelight contributed to it, at least in my opinion. The fact is after I fired these guys and their former employer, I had an inspector come out, and look at my house. I needed someone to survey the damages before I started with another builder. Among other things, the inspector informed me my house was missing a structural beam to hold up the covered patio. Yikes! More money down the drain to tear up my house and put in a very necessary beam. The chimney was not capped off appropriately, and my basement flooded during the construction. I had to spend thousands to get rid of the mold. The work on my house was shoddy to say the least, and these guys, as the superintendents, should be accountable. I do not recommend that you trust them with my dream house.
