Unfortunately, the customer service was not what I expected. Specifically, I felt Avery was annoyed to even have to help me or my sisters. We ended up by-passing her for any questions or assistance. Hello all! I shopped on this online boutique, Ruthie Grace, because it states it is located in the USA. From Texas to be exact. Being from the USA, I'm all about supporting companies based in our country. I ordered a dress (known as the Lydia Floral Halter Maxi Dress) after carefully researching the company and location just to make sure it was not just a warehouse of an over-the-seas company or a drop-ship gimmick online. I believe it is real boutique, however, now that I look back, there are a few red-flags I should have noticed to prevent myself from buying from here. CON: They don't actually process returns or refund your original payment method. That's a huge red flag to me. Legit businesses that stand behind their products usually have no problem refunding the payment method you used if there's a genuine issue with the product. I say that as someone who works in customer success for a small business and also owns a business myself. If you believe in the quality of what you sell, you don't make returns unnecessarily difficult. You make it right for the customer. PRO: They do offer store credit once you figure out how to return your item. 2. CON: They do not allow or post reviews on their site so you can't see pic customer examples or hear from previous customers. 3. CON: The material was honestly the biggest disappointment for me. It feels really cheap and very similar to something I'd expect from Shein. For $104, I was expecting a much nicer, premium fabric. The product photos made the dress look silky with bright white, red, and pink tones. In person, it's a matte polyester fabric with more of a peachy color and a darker red. It just doesn't have the same look or feel as the pictures. Looking back, though, this one is on me. I overlooked the fact that the listing clearly says it's 100% polyester, and I also missed the disclaimer that says, "Product colors may vary slightly from images due to photo editing and lighting conditions." So I can't really fault them for that, I just wish I had paid closer attention before ordering. I'm honestly more annoyed with myself than anything because I let the photos influence my expectations. 4. CON: This is something I also overlooked, so just wanted to give everyone a heads-up for clarity if you're considering purchasing from them. For returns, you have to create the return shipment yourself and send the product back on your own. I completely understand that shipping costs are a major expense for smaller businesses, so I get why they may not offer free return shipping. But as a buyer, this part kind of sucks. I'd honestly be fine paying the return shipping cost if they at least provided a printable return label to make the process easier. I ordered what I thought was to be an adorable summer dress for an upcoming trip for an " all- white" party. Once it finally arrived & I took it out of the package, it was HUGE like wearing a moo moo & had a yellowish orange stain in the top part that could be seen from both sides. I read through all the reviews & went by their size guide & it was practically 2x's the size as described. It also was a FINAL sale..so there's that. Luckily, I'd already ordered another outfit elsewhere that just arrived & fits perfect! I won't be shopping from them again. read more

BEWARE!! I made the mistake of ordering from Ruthie Grace. The quality was bad and nothing fit well. The materials and fit look nothing like the website. As other reviewers have said, they make returns next to impossible. I ordered 3 things that were on sale, that fit horribly (again, nothing like their advertisements) and went to return them, only to see that "FINAL SALE" was stamped in red letters on my receipt. I thought to myself- wow, how could I have missed that??- so I went to my order and the page of each item on the website, and NOWHERE does it say final sale. But what you see is FAR from what you get here. The overall quality, color, fabric, fit (structure of the item) is awkward and just off. YOU pay for returns. Good luck with exchanges or returns. Sale = final sales and you can not exchange or return. I ordered a cute dress through their instagram and I wanted to exchange for something else since I know this style dress would never fit well for my body type. In the packing slip it was stamped with "final sale" which was not indicated anywhere when I purchased online. Sale should never be the same as Final Sale and if so it should be indicated while purchasing. I understand Sale items being exchanges only and Final Sale as no exchange or refund, but Sale the same as Final Sale is just unacceptable and irritates people that order online. I'm not asking for refund, but rather exchange for a dress that doesn't fit well. read more

Their clothes are so cute and the staff are absolutely the friendliest people around! At most clothing stores, I'll find something cute and it never fits in a flattering way, but I have never ran into that problem with their clothes. NO THANK YOU. After members of a social network started emailing the shop, she sent out copy and paste replies (and took down her FB page) -how awful to try and make money off someone's pain. Bought the Vivanna Cropped jumpsuit and was scared it wasn't going to get delivered on time for me to go out of town. Messaged customer service on Facebook and got a response within minutes with options to upgrade shipping and a number for the warehouse, called and the girls were so helpful and didn't even need to upgrade my shipping since I lived somewhat close.
