Whaaaatttt delicious! Friendly and oh my those biscuits. Busy expect to wait. I had the cheese burger fries and a coleslaw it did not disappoint.

I had grits toast, bacon, and scrambled eggs and it was fantastic. I made a happy plate here. Love the food.

Ruth is a staple in Augusta and seems like a little hole in the wall but when you walk in the restaurant, it is very big and plenty of seating. The hostess will see you right away and the food is fantastic.

This spot doesn't look appealing from the outside. It appears to not look great when you pull up. Man o man, we could walk in and seat ourselves, not too busy. A party of 7 was quickly seated... I ordered a broiled salmon patty with grits, biscuit (which was so good by the way) and scrambled eggs. Waitresses were great and attentive! The service was fast and when I say fast and less than 10 minutes we got our food! I will come back

We decided to try a takeout order. The place was packed and no outdoor seating. No social distancing. I ordered the hungry breakfast, but when we got home my grits with cheese was missing. I ordered scrambled eggs & it looked like powdered egg & definitely not 2 eggs worth. There was a gross watery substance under them. My husband got the chicken fried steak breakfast. All of his food was there. I called the restaurant & told them I was missing part of my order, and they said it was only $1.25 and I could drove back to either get the grits or be refunded $1.25. I said that was unacceptable. So after wasting 30 min on the phone she refunded the $1.25 + the tip. You can get better food at the Waffle House, and I hate the Waffle House. I will never go back here and I don't know how it has the ratings it has. Absolutely terrible.

A long time favorite of ours, Ruth's is a hometown institution. A modest and unassuming place for breakfast with terrific food and friendly atmosphere.

They have a number of stuffed and warm cookies to choose from. I couldn't decide on just one flavor and so opted for two! This was a bit of a mistake as their cookies are really large and dense which I discovered when the worker placed the first box with one cookie on the counter before me and it made an audible kerplunk. My goodness! I got their chocolate peanut butter cookie as well as a sugar cookie. When I realized how ample the cookies were, I gave the sugar cookie to the hotel clerk at my hotel, so I can only speak to the chocolate peanut butter cookie. It was sweet and delicious. I will note that their cookies are very sweet. I don't eat sweets often so the rich sweetness of one cookie was a bit much for me. Were I to go again, I'd probably split one with a friend. That said, the cookie was warm and ooey-gooey. It's kind of an inside out peanut butter cup with a peanut butter cookie surrounding a fudge-y chocolate center. If you like a chocolate/pb combo--this cookie is for you! The workers were lovely. I walked in with no familiarity with the biz and the clerk immediately gave me the rundown of their cookies and how ordering works. They were all so nice in here! If you're looking for an indulgent sweet treat, Dirty Dough has you covered! Get to it!

From the moment you see the brick building and walk inside, you get this warm, classic Georgia café vibe. It is cozy, welcoming, and full of character. It is the kind of place you want to slow down and enjoy. We came in for lunch and everything was outstanding. I had the Curious George, which is turkey topped with spinach dip and provolone cheese on sourdough bread. It was absolutely fantastic. Warm, savory, and perfectly balanced, it felt like true comfort food done right. It also came with a fresh side salad and great dressing that honestly could have been a meal on its own. My boys ordered the chicken quesadilla and nachos, and both were big wins. The quesadilla was crispy and cheesy. The nachos were fully loaded with seasoned beef, black beans, melted cheese, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, plus salsa and ranch on the side. The portions were generous and the flavors were excellent. Then came the desserts. We tried chocolate cake, carrot cake, and red velvet cake. We ordered half slices and they were still huge. Every single one was incredible. The red velvet and carrot cake were made with real cream cheese frosting. The carrot cake was rich and moist. The chocolate cake was deeply decadent. Pairing the carrot cake with a cup of their coffee was the perfect finish. The coffee was smooth and flavorful and exactly what you want with dessert. We were also lucky enough to be taken care of by Reagan, who was incredibly kind, beautifully stylish, and so helpful with my boys and me. She gave great recommendations on dishes and portion sizes. Her warmth and attention truly elevated the entire experience. Between the cozy atmosphere, outstanding food, unforgettable desserts, and exceptional service, Boll Weevil is now officially a must stop every time we are in Augusta. Come hungry. Save room for cake.

It's not inexpensive but you can certainly taste the quality. I had a scoop of bourbon salted caramel ice cream and a scoop of butterfinger ice cream. They were fantastic! So it wasn't a total surprise to find that they have decided to move to suburban Augusta. The new shopping center they've chosen was otherwise still under construction when I stopped in, but several groups of people had found this place and were shopping for ice cream. I imagine on a nice summer day there will be a line when word gets out. Not a lot of really top end ice cream around here, but this place knows how to infuse flavor. A more caramel and cookie creation complemented my dark and bitter chocolate. The chocolate came with Andes mints inside, which sounded nice but honestly could hardly be tasted because the flavor of the ice cream itself was so strong. Premium local ice cream isn't cheap, but here I did get a heaping portion size as I watched more flavors being created in the back of the shop.

I visited this place while traveling on a hot, sunny weekend right when it opened, and it was an utter pleasure. Parking: there's plenty of street parking. I parked right in front of the dessert cafe. Free parking. Ambiance: it's a dark themed place with grey walls, a luxurious plush couch, and a dungeon-ish feel. It's more Halloween themed kind of style than luxurious. It's a cute mix of orange and black-grey themes. There's soft upbeat music in the background. Right when it opens is a great time to go! I nearly had the whole cafe to myself! Dessert: I ended up getting their pineapple cheesecake with cheesecake snow. It was light, fluffy, creamy. It's similar to Korean shaved ice or a lighter Italian shaved ice. It melts in your mouth and releases the sweetness. You can build your own and they have premade flavors such as turtle cheesecake, amaretto romance, cotton candy, vampy sour, orange dream, I love you Cheryl much, Mexican candy, pina colada. I ordered large, and I could definitely finish it all for myself! This is a chain that started in California. They start with a proprietary base, mix in the flavors, freeze it into a block, shave it, and then decorate it. In addition, the worker informed me that some of the cheesecake flavors have a homemade purée, with the strawberry cheesecake being the most popular. I'm 100% visiting again when I come back to Georgia!
