Visited today with a friend at a time that was not too busy when we first arrived. The first thing we both noticed was the loud music. We mentioned it to the waitress who apologized very sweetly, and then brought us the manager at our request. By this time, the restaurant was getting filled with mostly people approximately our age. The music being played was obviously dance music with electric guitar solos bursting over speakers placed over every other booth. The female manager said she had the music the way she wanted it and that it was her choice. Not the customers or the staff, her choice. I don't know when I have ever felt so disrespected. By this time, other people were noticing. Shame on this type of customer service from a friendly restaurant that typically serves extremely good food. Poor management at best. read more

Better alternative to Waffle House except you're paying a little more. Family stopped here after Mass and ate breakfast. It's like a typical dinner inside with small tables/benches. Groups of 4 I think is the preferred max. My forever disclaimer: PLEASE be nice and courteous with your waiter/waitresses. Because I only saw 2 waitresses and about 12-13 tables occupied. Despite that, we got really good service and would be one of the reasons why my family and I would go back. And despite it being a full house: all of our meals came in 5-7 minutes! Perhaps an anomaly, but even if it was a few mins longer I wouldn't have been disappointed. Food was good. Not great, but good enough. Worse thing I could say is my parent's omelette was more on the greasy side. I thought my sandwich and side was really good. Especially how much I paid for it. Total price was $60 for 4 people (2 sandwiches, 2 omelettes, and 2 drinks). Perhaps more than I would have preferred, but we didn't think it was terrible. I noticed price went up a little when looking at a menu uploaded a month ago. I know times are tough, but hopefully they're able to stay with the prices they're at for a while. Great service and good food. Who could ask for more? Open concept and it was busy, but not noisy. Eggs have dropped in price at the store to under $4 a dozen. They said that their prices are still high. Sounds like a bad supplier. They are still charging $.50 per egg over the menu price. read more

Well, I decided to stop here at That Flippin' Egg for breakfast on my way to the eye doctor a few blocks away. When I entered, I was greeted by smiling faces and a warm greeting. That was a pleasant way to start my experience. I was directed to a seat and since I as short on time, I ordered my meal immediately. I was pleased to learn that they served hash browns, not home fries as I don't really care for home fries much. Happy about that, I ordered them along with a ham and cheese (American) omelet as well as some coffee. The coffee came immediately and the omelet and hash browns soon after. I was quite surprised how quickly the food came up. I found both the omelet and the hash browns to be delightful. I totally, totally enjoyed my meal and because it was served so quickly, I had a few minutes to slow down and really enjoy the m. Anyway, I found the entire experience to be quite positive and I think we might make a stop here before eye appointments a new family transition. read more

Well not much different than Waffle House. Extremely busy, I waited way too long to place order, way too long to get food. Because of this, even though I specifically stated no clear egg white, I was too heavily invested in time to have them correct once I saw uncooked egg. Watery grits, bland Corned Beef Hash. Excellent experience! Kiante was our server and gave absolutely wonderful service. The food was brought out quickly and we were asked several times if everything was good or asked if we needed anything. I have to say the room temperature was pleasant, unlike Waffle House or Cracker Barrel where you have to eat fast before the hypothermia set in. All of the employees were uncharacteristically friendly. We will be back. :) read more

The bacon was cooked to perfection, grits were creamy and delicious, toast was toasted just right and don't get me started on the bologna it was well done just how I like it!!! Mimosas could use a little more champagne but the food was amazing next time I'll have coffee instead!!! read more

Went to That Flippin Egg for breakfast after a appointment in the area. The restaurant has a similar look to a Waffle House without counter seating. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and the waitress was friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The food was ok. Standard diner fare. Everything was hot with the exception of the sausage, which looked like it had been sitting awhile and was cold. Overall, 5 stars for the service. Waitress was great. 3 stars for the food which was good but nothing special. I would probably visit again if in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way. Went there and had a great breakfast. I think they really have sorted out their issues here now. I did think the coffee was not great though and still, even after all this time they did not have any sausage links. I ordered the skillet, scrambled eggs, onions, tomatoes, hash browns, cheese, white gravy, side of grits, and wheat toast. It was so greasy that I couldn't eat my food, not to mention that the onions and tomatoes were burned, and no gravy. The grits had so much butter that it was all over the containers. I was so hungry that I used the wheat bread to soak up the butter on the grits so I could at least have something to eat out of the whole meal that I had delivered. I paid $45.10 for grits...... I am extremely disappointed because this has never happened before. I'm not going to hold my breath on getting a refund or getting a response. read more

I was excited to go here after going to the one in Evans GA a few weeks ago and having the best breakfast I've had in years! This place literally took the huddle house signs and window stickers down and replaced it with "flippin egg" signs and reopened the doors. The service was no different than a Waffle House/huddle house. Our waitress was overwhelmed and seemed to have 2-3 times more tables than the other servers. She was running around like a mad man while the others just slew footed around. The skillet plate I ordered was 1/3 of the portion size as the Flippin Egg in Evan's. Not impressed and certainly will not be going back. While the staff is friendly waiting 47 minutes for breakfast that is ice cold is unacceptable. We watched as our food sat on top of the counter while the waitress flitted around dealing with other tables and socializing behind the counter. Couples that arrived after us left b4 us. My husband ordered an omelet with SWISS CHEESE, bacon, sausage n ham with a lightly toasted English muffin. What he received was an omelet with cheddar cheese bacon and ham and no sausage. The English muffin was black and hard. The coffee was old, tasted stale. Our food was not the only food to sit under the heat lamps for more than 20 minutes. There is nothing worse than being served ice cold eggs. We will not be going back. read more

Wonderful wait staff! And the coffee was perfect. Breakfast came to the table lukewarm - except for my home fries which were cold. Waitress brought me hot hashed browns - but I like food that is hot - not lukewarm and I didn't want to ask for a whole new breakfast. Biscuits were not exactly a hit either. First time eating at this place and I must say I was not disappointed! We were greeted with a smile as soon as we walked through the door, and had the sweetest server! Her name was Dani and she was the best server ever! She had a happy attitude, was more than happy to answer our questions about the menu, and was overall wonderful! Just tried Flippin Egg for the first time today. Menu looked interesting online, but the experience did not meet my expectations. The food preparation and presentation were unimpressive; however, the service was very good with a cheerful and efficient waitress. Even with inflation, the menu is overpriced. The physical space is more like Waffle House with very small booths. Not very comfortable. They will definitely need to improve to survive here in Aiken. read more
