Love this place! Wish I found it earlier! I work and stay down here often so will most definitely be back! The place is laid back and super chill. They have pretty much anything for anyone's palate. From coffees, teas, adult beverages, homemade gelato, pastries, dinner items, pizza, etc. I am pretty sure you will find it! If you happen to have your friendly dog with you, they welcome furry friends too! I mean how can you go wrong with going there! There are little tables and couches inside, and also patio seating with high tops. The owner is friendly and efficient. The bathroom walk is a little different, but they had to make the space work, so they did. There are antiques around, Pinocchio's around, lighting is either lit or there is a dim area to sit on too! I am staying at a hotel that is a five minute walk from this restaurant. My cousin who lives in town and my coworker who lives in town both recommended that I go here for the avocado toast and coffee. I went this morning and the staff was extremely friendly. The avocado toast was easily one of the best I've ever had. The bread was amazing. I also got tiramisu cake or bread not really sure what it was, but also amazing and made by them. The coffee was spot on. If you're in the area, I highly recommend you go here. read more

Nice ambiance, but the food wasn't worth the visit or price. We ordered two sandwiches and three pizzas. The sandwiches had some older lettuce pieces on them, the pizza had a heavy yeast and olive oil flavor. When asking the flavor differences for the sandwich's, told they are all the same flavor, just look different. We tried to order the Bianca pizza that was advertised as a special, but learned they did not have it available today, which begs why it was a special on their chalk board still. A nice little find in edge water. All the ingredients were fresh and came together beautifully. I also had to have my caffeine intake so I ordered a matcha with almond milk. The matcha was delicious. This is such a cute spot. Right on the bay next to Margaret Pace, this cafe is the perfect spot to get a coffee to go, but is also always bustling with people sitting inside or out and enjoying themselves. More of this energy, please! They have a range of coffees, alcoholic beverages, pastries, and proper food. I will say that if you're a coffee snob looking for the best, this isn't it. But if you're looking for a pretty good coffee in a great setting, look no further. My nose won't grow when I say that Pinocchio On The Bay is a great spot to stop for a sandwich and smoothie! Located across from Margaret Pace Park and with a decent amount of street parking, I stepped into a cozy cafe (with a few outside tables) with a lot of Pinocchio figurines. It's also a dog friendly cafe. My favorite has been their "Top " sandwich - basically Prosciutto, pesto & mozzarella - with a splash of rich & sweet balsamic vinegar. The prosciutto has the natural saltiness that marks a good meat, and the greens are fresh. Add one of their smoothies for a sweet taste as well. They make the sandwiches fresh to order so you may have to wait a little. But it's worth it for a tasty Sammy! read more

We were looking for coffee and something quick to eat and found this place looking through maps. It has a great vibe and they really committed to the bit with the Pinocchio theme. Stopped in for a quick breakfast while taking a stroll in the park. This place has some interesting decor. I enjoy the quirkiness of it. Only entered. There was a special board that had a few options listed my husband and myself ordered scrambled eggs with bacon. We thought it was going to come out as a sandwich, but it was just scrambled eggs. While the eggs were good and fluffy, it was pretty pricey for what we ultimately got. We ended up having a $50 breakfast two orders of scrambled eggs and two juices. read more

It's been some years since I've been here but I remember visiting when they first opened. The owner has always been friendly and welcoming. The store is an eclectic bag of all kinds of goodies. An Italian cafe with fresh baked goods and pastries, pastas and all types of sandwiches, gelato and some random things. There is seating both indoors and outside, but limited. Today, I ordered the beef empanadas with an iced pistachio latte. There's stiff competition in this town for empanadas but these were pretty good. The shell was soft and flaky. The prices are also good. It's great to see this business not only survived the pandemic but is thriving, which is more than what we can say for many small businesses. It's really becoming an Edgewater staple. Stop in if you're in the area. read more

Nice little Italian spot in front of Margaret Pace park. We were taking a bicycle ride in the park when suddenly stumbled upon this little gem. Eclectic indoor seating area and charming outdoor seating patio. It is a small place but very welcoming. It is also pet friendly. Seemingly a locals favorite spot. We just did a quick stop so we only got drinks. Macchiatone coffee was creamy and balanced. It didn't need any sugar. A glass of cold prosecco was just what the doctor ordered for a hot afternoon. Nice authentic Italian music playing in the background creating a serene atmosphere. Rilassante! Prices are affordable for the area. Definitely a great spot in Edgewater. A presto! read more

This just wasn't the place for us. Nice views though. He got a scrambled egg special with prosciutto and arugula. Not impressed at all. It was supposed to be on a multigrain bread, but it wasn't. He said he burped it up all day and into the night. I got a margarita pizza. It was fine - would've been better before the put a bunch of olive oil on it. And it was just a cheese pizza with 4 basil leaves. Not a true margarita pizza with tomatoes. We both wanted unsweet tea - and the guy at the register told us there was Italian drinks in the cooler. I picked out Joe T green tea with ginseng. Holy crap - 60 grams of carbs. Taste was not for me. He got a tea with lemon and it was also loaded with a bunch of sugar. Our fault for not looking at the label - but shame on the guy for not saying anything to us when we asked for unsweetened tea and he rang these up. I mean, I guess I can't blame him when he's charging $5 for it. Again, a place that pops up a standard 15% tip for someone to walk my food out. Yes, you can change it. Seems a little presumptuous for a tip for someone taking my order and walking food to my table. I'd rather you call out my number and save myself the $5. read more

Came to this little cafe for a late breakfast to go today. My husband & I ordered an avocado toast, a prosciutto & scrambled eggs on a toast, and a passion fruit mango smoothie. My husband enjoyed his meal & I absolutely loved the smoothie. However, the avocado toast was subpar. It wasn't your typical avocado toast with avocado spread and I truly was not satisfied. Also, the bread was a multigrain nut bread (which was not specified), and I'm allergic to nuts so there goes that. The owners were great & I can tell that this a staple place for many of the people that live in the area. I wanted to try the coffee so maybe next time! read more

This is one off my favorite Miami spots for coffee, breakfast, lunch and early dinner. The food is fantastic and for the gluten free among us, they have fantastic bread. The coffee is wonderful, the service is great and the wine list offers wonderful options from the owner's home country of Italy. The vibe inside and out is fantastic. When I bring my work here, I feel like I'm partially on vacation. It's also a wonderful place to catch up with friends who are visiting. Omg! I think I found my new favorite spot! This place is great, truly a hidden gem. They have everything ranging from breakfast, pastries, drinks, coffee and ice cream. The atmosphere is very cool and corky especially tying in the Pinocchio theme. All the food we had was delicious, this has to be the best mimosas I've had in Miami, super refreshing. For the price definitely worth it! If you go definitely try one of the empanadas for they are bomb. Very veggie/vegan friendly; the pastries are to die for, had the almond croissant and it's better than Starbucks hands down. I will definitely be coming back. The nice this about the place is you can sit outside and it over looks the bay and it dubs as a market where you can buy specialty foods and drinks such as crackers, candy, wine etc. Great place to eat and hang out. read more

Note: As of 12/2019 this café has gone through a renovation and is now Il Dante Caffe. One of my biggest gripes about South Beach is the plethora of tourist trap food options on or close to the Beach. However, I am happy to say that Il Dante is the exception. Located slightly off Ocean Drive, Il Dante is a small spot but well worth a visit. I came here for a late breakfast and to get some work done. Luckily they have free wifi and I was able to grab a high top table outside. Perfect! I ordered a latte and a top 8 sandwich plus tomato. My food came out quickly and the sandwich was fresh and perfect. It came with prosciutto, brie, olive oil, and fresh greens. I added tomato to mine and it was fantastic and just what I wanted. The coffee was strong, and everything I sampled was fresh and authentically Italian. I highly recommend that you stop here if you need a good lunch on South Beach! read more
