This place is clearly very popular, and there is a very large parking lot across the street so don't be put off by the tiny parking lot right out front. The people showing you to tables and the host stand all wear earpieces, and it felt extremely well organized. Other restaurant patrons were dressed casually but nicely, and it was a relaxed ambiance. I was deciding between the salmon glazed with guava BBQ and the grilled salmon with lemon butter and our server recommended the latter--I do kind of wish I had gone against his recommendation because I felt like the salmon could have been more flavorful but it was still well cooked, as were the yellow rice and sweet plantains. My boyfriend also enjoyed his sandwich. I had the cortadito with evaporated milk and it was really yummy! I don't normally drink coffee but it was recommended in other reviews. It's definitely more on the sugary sweet side of things, but if you're looking for that I would highly recommend. It was probably my favorite thing here.

A Miami classic for Cuban comfort food Stopped by Versailles and ordered the **Rabo Encendido (Oxtail Stew)**. The oxtail was tender and slow-cooked to perfection, with the meat falling right off the bone. The sauce was rich, savory, and full of deep flavor, making it the perfect comfort food. Every bite felt hearty and satisfying, especially paired with the traditional sides. Service was efficient and professional, even with how busy the restaurant was. The staff kept things moving smoothly while still making guests feel welcomed. The vibe is lively and full of history. You can feel why Versailles is such an iconic Miami institution, with a constant buzz of locals and visitors enjoying classic Cuban dishes. It feels like a place you have to experience at least once when visiting Miami. Overall, a delicious meal and a great introduction to traditional Cuban cuisine. If you're looking for a hearty, flavorful dish, the Rabo Encendido is definitely worth ordering.

I was told that when you're in Florida ESPECIALLY Miami you HAVE to get Cuban food. And wow... now I understand why. As we were driving in, the place already looked beautiful. We came in the evening and immediately, as we walked up, there was music, people laughing, talking, smiling... the energy was incredible. I also loved that there was a bar off to the side while waiting. We ordered a few mojitos and sat outside at the tables and benches, just enjoying the atmosphere. When our name was finally called and we walked inside, I genuinely felt like I was stepping into history. The atmosphere here is unmatched. The music, the aromas, the people. God, I loved it here and I hadn't even tried the food yet. We ordered the braised oxtail (which came with plantains and rice), salmon glazed in guava BBQ sauce, ceviche tropical, assorted empanadas, and a Cuban sandwich. Everything was phenomenal. The sauce paired with the empanadas perfectly. The guava BBQ glaze on the salmon was absolute perfection. It was the perfect combo of sweet, smoky, and flavorful. The ceviche had the perfect acidity and tasted so fresh and refreshing. This is one of the most famous Cuban restaurants in Miami. It completely lives up to the reputation. Highly recommended

Always predictable food. My friend brought me food to the hospital as I was with my husband. The plantains and my dinner were great. Our hospital visitors enjoyed the croquettes and the empanadas. The croquettes were a bit too burned for me.

5/6/26- My first time here and it was Magical! Outstanding service, greeted warmly by the host and seated immediately., meeting family and they sat me even though our entire party wasn't here. The restaurant is classic elegance with white table cloths and crystal chandeliers! Yes, we had outstanding service!!! I ordered the Cuban Shepards Pie which was so delicious.. I never eat rice but their rice was perfectly cooked.. I love plantains! They were so good... we also had a Mahi sandwich, also delicious! Dessert was so amazing...i ordered Coconut flan, we also had the rice pudding brûlée. Amazing!! I highly recommend!

Versailles Cafe has that classic, old school feel to it. The decor gives off a warm, lived in vibe that I really appreciated. The staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming, the food came out fast, and the prices were very reasonable. I did run into some health trouble during our visit. I got sick and ended up in the ER, so I was not able to enjoy the full meal in the moment. After getting checked out and feeling better, I came back to the leftovers and they were still delicious. The Cuban sandwich was solid. Not too heavy, which I appreciated. The Ropa Vieja with rice and beans, and the Moro with Yuca, were both really good. I managed to eat some of it while we were there and finished the rest once I was back on my feet. They also have a bakery on site. We did not get a chance to try it this time around, but it is on the list for next visit.

My first visit to Versailles Restaurant ,many people labeled Versailles as a classic must visit spot in Miami 5/5 Stars (Nostalgia) for the "best cuban cuisine in the area" my visit was unfortunately disappointing. The wait time was reasonable for such a popular restaurant. We were told it would be about a 50-minute wait, but we were seated in roughly 35 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise. One thing I did notice, however, was that the check-in process seemed inefficient. There was one lady at the front, with a wonderful Cuban accent, doing her best to call out names, but many guests weren't paying attention or responding. It appeared to make her job much more difficult and likely slowed the process down. I genuinely felt for her and made sure to thank her when we were finally seated. For the appetizers we ordered the croquetas variadas: jamon (ham) pollo (chicken)and bacallao (fish) Croquetas are an acquired taste, I personally thought these taste it like a can of deviled ham that was deep fried and wasn't very tasty at all and felt like mush as I ate them but apparently this is a very popular thing in Cuban Cuisine 1/5 Stars..no thanks moving on For my meal, I ordered the Arroz con Pollo. While it had some flavor, it was extremely dry and honestly one of the least enjoyable versions of the dish I've ever had. The presentation looked rushed, as if the ingredients had simply been thrown together and plopped on a plate. It arrived so quickly i felt it had been sitting pre-made and waiting to be served. Unfortunately, it did not make a good first impression. 2/5 Stars My wife ordered the Vaca Frita, which was also disappointing. The meat didn't taste particularly fresh and had an odd texture--crunchy both on the outside and inside. It was lightly seasoned and lacked the bold flavors we expected from traditional Cuban cuisine.2/5 Stars Overall, our experience left us confused For a restaurant with such a strong reputation, we expected food that reflected the care, tradition, and authenticity Cuban cuisine is known for. Instead, it felt more like plates were being pushed out as quickly as possible to keep up with demand. Overall 3/5 Stars and Versailles has given me no reason to go back on my next visit to Miami.

When in Miami, you gotta get some cuban food. Classic Versailles here. We were impressed with the quality to cost ratio. Very decently priced for what you get which is a HUGE plus in todays ridiculously overpriced world. First, they were busy at 9pm. They have a waiting area outside with a bar though so time passes by quickly. Wonderful idea. Friendly staff and a great menu. Vaca Frita (4): The shredded beef is really good. The pan fry is hit or miss. Really good crispy charred bits but can be dry at times. I'm glad I tried it, but I think I'd go with the Ropa Vieja next time to have more moist bites vs. crispy bites. Plantains and Rice with beans were done nicely. Cuban Roast Pork (5): I'd always get this at the Versailles in Los Angeles. For roast pork, can't beat it. Just moist and flavorful. Delicious every time! Mahi Mahi (Dolphin) Filet (4): Learned something new today. When they say 'Dolphin', its not your sea world schooner friend, its actually mahi mahi. It was good. Not overcooked and seasoned nicely. Chicken and Rice (5): Daughter got this and it was really good. Super moist chicken mixed into flavorful rice. Cubano sandwich (4): Standard cuban sandwich executed well. Crispy bread. Flan (5): It's just really good flan. Versailles special (5): Forgot the name of this dessert but it was basically a large Creme Brulee with cake on the bottom. It was delicious! Overall, great spot for comfort cuban cuisine at reasonable prices!

Arugula salad, calamari (taste fresh, could have been a bit more fried for.a better crunch) and cod fish fritters

I haven't been to Miami and Versailles in years and I was delighted to find it is still an excellent intro to Cuban food and late night dining. After a long flight, my friends and I stopped at Versailles by the airport at 10pm for dinner on a Tuesday night. The restaurant, Cafe and bakery were packed. The service is brusque and fast. The hostess kindly found us a back corner table to accommodate all our suitcases. We ordered sangria, cod fish fritters, calamari, arugula salad, imperial rice special, roasted pork, ropa viewable (shredded beef), liver, tongue and paella to share. The meat portions were a bit smaller than usual, but the generous sides of rice and plantains made up for it. The prices were still fair with most entrees averaging around $15. We didn't order the Cuban sandwich or croquettes, but it seemed like the local favorite with platefuls coming out constantly. Food came out fast and piping hot! We took ride share but parking could be a problem if you go during regular dining hours.

We have been wanting to have lunch here for a long time and finally made it last Monday. We wanted to avoid the huge crowds so we got here around 1130am. There were no lines and we lucked out parking very close to the front door. We were seated right away near the front and were served immediately. Versailles is a very large restaurant with French inspired ornate mirrors and lovely chandeliers. It is known as "The World's Most Famous Cuban Restaurant," attracting locals, tourists, celebrities, and politicians. It should be a must visit on your list. We are very happy that we went! Our food was delicious!! My daughter had her Cuban favorite, Vaca de Frita, and loved it. Generous portions here, by the way. I ordered the Lechon Asado (roast pork) with rice & black beans and boiled yucca, which was to die for!! I can't wait to go back for this meal again. We both had cafe con leche, but it wasn't what we hoped for unfortunately. I would get a cortadito next time. For dessert, she got the Tres Leches and I got the Guava and cheese pie. Both were very good. Besides the restaurant, there is a Cuban bakery inside with delicious pastries and cakes. The La Ventanita is their coffee shop window outside attached to their building. Take a nunber. There is plentiful parking. Indoor and outdoor seating. Our server, Yudiel, was excellent. He was friendly, attentive, graciously explained the menu questions we had, and checked on us several times even though it had become very busy by then. We appreciated his service. We look forward to returning very soon.

We were pretty excited to just have a cocktail and Cuban and witch before flying out. Had a classic marg which hit the spot. Their mojitos looked great as well. Out sandwich was the bummer. We got the impression, they're ordered so much, that the quality was missing. Cheese wasn't melted and it wasn't warm. We placed our order and we had our fries and cubano in 3 mins, took longer to get our margs . We saw a lot of the other plates around us and they looked pretty awesome. So maybe skip the cubano on busy days?

My colleagues and I came here on a Thursday afternoon, and we thought this place got great vibes and had very affordable prices. The decorations indoors were very glamorous with chandeliers, lots of mirrors, and spacious seating. The menu was so huge that it was guaranteed that there would be something for everyone. We agreed that the next time we meet up, we would choose this place again. In terms of food, the taste wasn't necessarily the best, but it was still pretty good and definitely worth it for the price. The paella had pretty conventional tastes in terms of the rice, as it was clear that there was some tomato sauce flavoring the rice. The rice was a bit sticky, in a sloppy way. The ropa vieja had a good amount of beef which was great, and it was tender enough with good flavor, but I wish black beans were included with the dish. My colleagues ordered the classic dish and the vaca frita, and both looked like they got an abundant amount of food, which was a plus for sure, for very affordable prices. They had good things to say about the dishes overall. The catalonian style meatballs was a Thursday special dish and was also very affordable. Overall, even though this spot doesn't have the most outstanding taste for its food, its food still has pretty good flavor, and this establishment is definitely worth returning to because of its affordability and vibes. People can easily find what they want here and have a good time with their friends.

Cuban sandwich and yucca in a garlic mojo

The famous Versailles and I made it. This place is really big inside. There's a bakery on one side, a Café in the middle and on the other side is where you enter for the restaurant. I was greeted immediately and only waited about 5 minutes before I was lead inside. My waiter was so nice and attentive. I ordered a Cuban coffee to start. Then, I ordered the Cuban sandwich. It was very delicious and layered so beautifully with all the meat and cheese. I also ordered the yucca in garlic mojo. I didn't think I would eat the whole thing but I couldn't stop, that's how good it was. I got another Cuban sandwich to take with me on the plane along with 4 fresh guava pastries. I will come back here when I visit again.

    Mandatory first stop.
