Found this place when they first opened up and since then we have been hooked. They make fresh breads/wraps onsite which adds to the overall experience. We have only tried the "Arabia platter" which comes with the wrap sandwich, cut into pieces with fries( taste real good with the spice they sprinkle) cole slaw, tomatoes and pickles. One time I did get luke warm fries but the owner quickly replaced them. I definitely recommend but advise to call ahead for pick-up cuz they can get busy. I ordered a falafel platter- on the menu it says falafel with side of rice or fries, arabic bread, hummus, babaghanouge, olive oil, pickles and tahini sauce. All i got was a small portion of hummus, babaghanouge, fries and falafels. No bread no pickles and no olive oil. I remember the first time I ordered and opening the food and thinking wow how pretty. The food now seemed sloppily made and tinier than i remember too. Its like they just threw it on the container. The falafels were hard and the hummus was bitter. Used to love this place when it first opened. However slowly they are losing their touch. They are slicing the shawarma thicker now which is less tastier. They always forget to do something to my sandwich or they forget to put something inside. Every other time they forget something. I picked up a chicken shawarma sandwich, the slices of chicken are huge (not tasty) and the guy didn't even cut my sandwich which isn't the first time. It's like you have to stay on top of them and watch every detail on how they prepare your sandwich otherwise somethings going to be wrong. When I get the meat shawarma it's usually too dry. Worst costumer service since it's ha Muslims restaurant my dad call to place a order he said salam (Muslim say to another Muslim when they first meet) they were start making fun of it singing birthday songs like they don't wanna listen to you very disappointed. read more

Best chicken shawarma I've had in NYC. The garlic sauce is perfect and tastes like the shawarmas I've had in Lebanon and Syria. Absolutely delicious and reminded me of my times abroad. I loved this place so much! Their meat shawarma was absolutely delicious. I got it for delivery and the delivery time is estimated to be at least an hour but it definitely took less time than that. Next time I'm in Brooklyn I'm totally ordering from this place again! Also - their eggplant appetizer comes with bread and it's scrumptious as well! read more

Excellent food, but the worst delivery service .. I order at 2:29pm and my food come at 4:04... how is possible that I have to wait so long? I used to go to the restaurant and they have a different way to present the food for take out .. but on delivery is a real mess.. unfortunately is the last time that I order from this place. read more

Ordered at the register, but staff delivered the food at your table. Food was served quickly. Tried the Shawarma Chicken Arabic. The roll texture is completely different from what I have tasted before. The roll is thin and soft, more like a crepe. The place is small, but it has outside seating. read more

Ruzana has by far one of the best shawarma sandwiches in Brooklyn! Chicken is the best one in my opinion! Their falafel is amazing as well.

Delicious, but I have to take out one star. The lady at the register who takes orders doesn't say Hi, doesn't look into your eyes, doesn't smile, as nice as you're trying to be she won't budge, didn't even reply to a warm "thank you have a good day" she just purposely looked down and frowned blatantly ignoring me (a paying customer). I'm not asking to have a red carpet unrolled. It if you work in the restaurant industry in NYC you should be taught basic manners. This place is off the charts! I've never had a schwarma wrap that delish. I was just blown away. I don't live near Bay Ridge and have been dreaming of it. You HAVE to try this place. Unbelievably tasty. The best Arabic food I've ever eaten outside the Middle East. The saj bread is light and chewy, and they have appetizers you can't find anywhere else: qudsia (a mix of hummus and foul), and msbaha (hummus plus whole chickpeas). The baba ghanouj is....wait for it...green, with mint maybe or cilantro or something else. So good. read more

On a day where I was particularly stressed out, a friend offered me half of her shawerma sandwich. She had said that it was from the "new place" that opened up. After much back and forth, I gave in. By the time I took a bite out of the sandwich, it was cold yet still THE BEST shawerma I have EVER tasted. As an Egyptian-American foodie (and a critical one at that), that compliment is worth more than the average consumer's. The chicken did not taste cheap (i.e. fatty). It tasted like the perfect combination of roasted and seared chicken. It has just the right amount of flavoring and is paired with an excellent white sauce (which I haven't been able to make out the ingredients of ;)) and delicious pickles, if you're into those. The bread is a wrap made from heaven. It's thin but holds well and is perfectly chewy. Needless to say, since that first time I was offered the sandwich, I've been back numerous times. I always order to-go and never has it been cold (not that it was bad cold), soggy or in any way bad. Furthermore, each and every time it's as perfect as the time before. The chefs are consistent; I love that. If you want exceptional shawerma, come to this place! The owners are sweet and generous! Walking home with a delicious round dollop of fried dough in syrup on a toothpick (if you're Middle Eastern, you'll know this dessert as "'awamah") is always a wonderful treat!
