Jennifer, the owner, showed up at my hotel room right on time; she was personable and very knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions before we started. After setting up her equipment, she put a crème on my knees, elbows and palms that would protect the skin from the spray (no ugly orange palms for me!). After spraying me all over, she dried me off, and we were done! Quick and painless. My skin was ready for the dinner I was required to attend that Friday and for an unbelievable value; with her coming to me it was $35, if I were to go to her, only $25! Not bad for weeks of lovely skin. I am now a fan of airbrush tanning in general, Sohler Glow in particular :)

I have really sensitive skin and always break out after getting my brows done, whether I do wax or threading. I decided I had nothing to lose by booking a brow appointment at Sugar and Hive. I thought I was booking an appointment to have sugaring done, but when I got there they clarified that it was wax, which was no problem. The area was bright, nicely decorated and squeaky clean. There's a large open treatment area where the facials and other skin services are done and then a couple of treatment rooms for body waxing. My waxer happened to be able to do my brows in one of the treatment rooms which I was glad about. I walked in and was floored by the over the top (see what I did there?) decor. The wallpaper on the ceiling is such a nice touch since you're laying down on the table. I love when businesses really hone in on the little details in order to make the space shine. After talking through my options, we decided to go with hard wax, instead of soft, for my sensitive skin. The treatment was painless and afterward she covered the area with hydrocortisone cream. My eyebrows looked very natural and nicely shaped. I was very happy with the service and the best part is that I didn't break out! The hydrocortisone cream must have been the golden ticket. I made my next appointment before I left and am looking forward to it.

I received a custom facial from Lani and it was a great experience. She was super friendly and explained exactly what products she'd use based on my skin from her observation and my concerns. The facial was awesome and I'd love to put it in my routine consistently but it'd be a bit of a splurge for me. Now the space itself was beautiful but could use some improvements for customer experience. First the room I received my facial didn't have a curtain it was open which made it hard to relax and wind down because I could hear people moving throughout the spa and talking. A lot of talking. Not obnoxiously just more than I'd care to hear since I came to relax. Lastly. The music choices could also be a bit more relaxing like calming/soothing instrumentals rather than music with lyrics. Overall I'd visit again but some changes could make this a much better experience.

So this was actually kind of a big deal for me to book this appointment. My best friend used NudeFX for her wedding spray tan and looked gorgeous so I thought, well maybe that would help me feel nice since I always feel better when I have a nice glow. I was a bit concerned since I didn't see many larger clients so I sent them an email and received the nicest response back from Jessica saying that they catered to all body shapes and sizes ABSOLUTELY and just let the person who was doing my spray tan what my comfort level was. Well I booked an appt at the Midlothian location for the very next evening. I was actually pretty nervous when I went inside but Ciara was nothing short of amazing. I told her it was my first spray tan and I was nervous. She explained everything to me and asked if I was still nervous or had any questions. I told her I wasn't nervous about the actual tanning but more my body. She looked right at me and said "You are beautiful, don't forget that". She left me then to get undressed to my comfort level, giving me many options and she made me feel so comfortable in that moment that I actually removed more clothing than I ever thought I would! The whole experience was really amazing, she told me how to pose and what to do and got the harder to reach areas all while making me feel amazing. She explained the aftercare step by step and told me to text them if I needed anything. I rinsed it off last night and woke up this morning and I AM OBSESSED with this tan! The concept of this facial spa is you pay a set price and whatever your face needs, will be part of the facial. The aesthetician who does my facials is Summer, and I definitely recommend her because she really extracts those THINGS FROM MY FACE. I feel super satisfied because I genuinely feel clean. I love the fact that skincare here is not just a blanket service. They truly customize your facial to your needs and skin type, and discuss use of the products you already have at home-not a hard sale to buy products there. One thing I like here is you will never have a service rushed. They don't overbook and aren't running back to back where you give the unassuming person in the lobby a look of guilt that they were waiting on your service to end, and feel bad. Nope, not here.
