I called State Farm Bank to make my Mortgage payment, I talked to a lady named "Judy" it seems like every month there's some new rule that they don't tell you about!! what a horrible call!!! She should listen to the question instead of talking over the customer!! I hung up and called State Farm [Ryan Paulson's office] talked to Sarah N. who listened to the question I had and made the day so much better. Sarah calmed me down. This is a review for the office staff: I have never experienced customer service that was so poor. The man who answered the phone was named Stephen. From the beginning he was so rude, and sounded like he wanted to be anywhere but that office even yawning at times. I was talked down to like I was incompetent. He was extremely pushy with not discontinueing a certain service i no longer needed. As soon as my husband and I get settled in our new home we will be switching offices immediately. I just moved to Oregon from Hawaii and since the state laws vary, I decided to go try State Farm Insurance instead of sticking with my prior company due to their rates (which were better than I found). I HIGHLY regret doing so even for the price. At first, it seemed great, everything was squared away in getting started with the assistant, Sarah. I signed up for auto pay, I answered any questions or information asked of me, I got the Drive Safe and Save beacon, etc. Three months down the road I get a bill in the mail that was THREE TIMES the amount I normally pay. Naturally, I call to inquire, and then was told that a month prior, my auto payment was CANCELED. This was news to me since, to my knowledge, I was on Autopay.. Then i also found out, in the same convo, that not only was my autopay cancelled without me knowing, but also my entire policy was cancelled and then redone with a two day lapse! Apparently this happened due to "Missing information that was not given or processed correctly with the Under writers" I've never heard of this issue before and have never experienced something like this.. and ESPECIALLY without even been given notice or a heads up.. i was COMPLETELY LEFT IN THE DARK..I never got a warning call, email, snail mail, NOTHING. Then come to find out, that "lapse in coverage " now showed up on my record which raised my rates because i was put in a "high risk category " for auto insurance!!!! UnFREAKINbelievable!!! The only reason I found out about this was because I inquired about an incorrect bill.... During this whole ordeal, I was being helped by Jose, who was very nice in trying to help me get to the bottom of it all. I then requested to speak with Ryan Paulson(head agent) personally (since I never once did before) and STILL AM WAITING. I've called and I've called and I am always promised a phone call back which never ends up happening! Luckily ANOTHER INSURANCE came to my rescue and corrected their mistake!!! This office is bad with follow up and informing the policy holder about information on their own policy!! Super shady. I will NEVER recommend SFI EVER. read more

First of all I have never called to get a quote from them. Secondly, I will never do business with this company due to the unprofessional and rude behavior the solicitor was exhibiting towards me. If my wife and I could only give minus 5 stars we would....it all started when we moved to portland and we were looking for a reputable agent and we choose this one because my wife did live in the clackamas area before. So....we go in and talk to an agent and sign and give our money to sign up for our ins. Little did we know that the agent was not qualified to write this type of ins. So now the problems begin....for our two cars and our harley we were quoted around $270.00 or so......now the big problems begin.....for the next few months we were now getting bills for $500.00 per month and every time we called they kept stating that the underwriters were working on it. Because the original agent who should have not written the quote in the first place and screwed up we would have to pay....not to count that most of the time we never got call backs from the new gal handling our case....so we went in countless times to try to rectify the situation and nothing was happening after being promised a refund for there screw up which has not happened yet...so this morning I went down to cancel our policy because we found an agent through our escrow company that will insure our vehicles plus our harley for only $192.00 per month....I would highly recommend WCS INURANCE and talk with Violet and she will take great care of you....not only for your home owners insurance and your car insurance but also your life insurance as well....to add insult to injury the girl at the reception desk stated that our credit was on the way and we finally got a call back stating that was not true.....so when this young lady was confronted she felt it best to lye to us.....on the way out this morning after canceling our policy. ....the young lady at the reception desk ask me if anything should ever come up in the future for our insurance needs to please give them a call.....yah right.....I don't think so......the nerve of some people........... read more

I been with State Farm over fifteenth years, my wife even longer, to me they were there if you had a accident, but I didn't feel like I had a connection to them, when I moved back to Oregon a few years ago, I changed agents, a little more than a year ago I received a call from Ryan office just to go over my policy, when I first stepped into his office I felt like I known him for years, Ryan has a way of making you feel comfortable, and with no pressure to sale, in other words he made me feel like a friend. It was nice to not only talk about my insurance policy, but also my finances, I even opened a Roth account while there, In my opinion I think he has a bright future, and he is a people person, and someone who gets it.
