The manager at the bank proceeded to insult me by saying, "Well, I don't know what kind of haphazard institution would let you open an account with only this type of information available" and I informed her that I had opened an account with HSBC Bank, a much larger and international bank, with the same information and paperwork I provided to her. Then, all of a sudden she was fairly speechless. Disgusted, I walked a little further into town and went to what was a Wachovia at the time and they were much kinder and accommodating and opened up an account for me in no time. I've been to a couple of PNC Banks in NJ and they seemed to be nice enough, so I tend to think that this location was just a fluke.
