Greg Middleton is the BEST (literally, not hyperbole) person to go around house hunting with, in my opinion. We averaged 4 houses a day, all around Richmond and its suburbs each time I came up, which is nice because after making a four hour round trip, the last thing you want is someone not willing to spend six hours driving all over the city with you. He also didn't murder me in all those empty houses we were seeing, so that is definitely worth another star in my book. That means I didn't get to murder him either, so minus one star if that is what you are looking for in a realtor. (-1 star: too hard to murder) He is also very prompt responding to the million (okay, that one is an exaggeration) questions I had about buying a home for the first time and clearly knows what he is talking about, so that is pretty awesome. He held my hand through ever step of the process. When my husband and I found out that we were expecting and decided to look for a larger home, we came to Mock to express our request of our "perfect home" that was within our price range and in our wanted school zoning area. He was very patient with me, because having a strong Asian background I had specific feng shui requirements (such as the stairs not facing directly in front of the door). Before we knew what we really wanted, we explored the available options that he had for us to get a feel of what we wanted in our home and what we would consider perfect. I def know that with the money that we were putting in, I made sure to ask as many questions and address any concerns that I had on each home - which he did not mind at all (Thank you Taylor!) haha. What I really appreciated from him was when we made plans to check out 3 houses one weekend, but found out the day before that one of those houses was going to have an offer put in - which means that we would not be able to see it if we were truly interested in purchasing. He rearranged his schedule and got us an opportunity to check out the house before it would be potentially be off the market. We checked it out and was so close to saying "yes" to the house, but we had found out that the kitchen was not facing in the right direction (according to our custom feng shui). We sadly had to walk away from the house, but he did not give up on us! After the Thanksgiving holiday, we made an appointment to check out two houses over the weekend. The first house we checked out just screamed out liability risk (that tends to happen to you when you work in the insurance industry) and just couldn't move forward with their backyard. The second house that we saw ended up being THE HOUSE that we fell in love with. It was within our price range, had a majority of what we wanted in a home, backyard is beautiful, and...it had ALL of our feng shui requirements. I have to admit, although I may be making it seem like we've been searching homes for month, we had only been looking at houses for less than a month. Taylor has been wonderful in keeping in touch with us and amending any changes on the system the company uses in order to narrow the search.
