You can use them for hospice at your own home, however, support is minimal. They send someone out with equipment and a cheap quality bed. And a nurse stops by for an intake appointment. You get a binder with information and your pretty much on your own unless you hire help. The nurse stops in weekly for a visit. You can call for additional nursing support if a situation arises, however, the care you receive could be inadequate and they may not bring needed pain medications.

We ended up going with Capital Caring, and I am so happy we did. Our mom had been residing at the Wellington in Lake Manassas, and Capital Caring worked well with those staff. They were amazing throughout everything. Judith, the head nurse, had excellent communication.- contacting me consistently after she visited with my mother. Bob was a pastor who saw my mom regularly, which we all appreciated and also had great communication.. Gloria and Louis also did a good job with our mother. I feel like I was listened to throughout the process, and everyone was very caring and understanding. They did an excellent job helping our mom be as peaceful and pain free as possible.

I started with another company that was affiliated with the hospital, they proved unreliable and created more stress than help. An employee at the hospital pulled me aside, explained she wasn't supposed to make recommendations, but she personally used Visiting Angels for her family. Not was she right. Simply put, I could not have asked for better support. Larry achieve was the coordinator in worked with, he made sure we had all of the help we needed. Caregivers were consistently good, extremely reliable, and very trustworthy. Larry checked in frequently to be sure we were satisfied. A few times we had to make last minute schedule changes, visiting angels was always accommodating. Bottom line, they are highly recommended.

We were able to work together and organize in having the company I work for fill 34 bags for the ones in need. Jill and I played phone tag often but there wasn't a time that she didn't return my phone call on the same day that I left my message. The day that Jill and Barbara received the Vet bags, they were both very appreciative, kind and warm. If these 2 wonderful women are like this, I could Only imagine how the other workers are at the facilities/homes. I will definitely work with Visiting Angels again in the future. Who knows I/family may use other services with them in the future as well. Highly Recommend.
