This place doesn't even deserve one star. Today is Mother's Day and I planned on a very nice relaxing brunch for my mother, mother in law and myself. Boy we're we ALL disappointed!!!! Not organized at all. After arriving the buffet was empty and we had to wait for more food to come out. They served huge over cooked pieces of tri tip and only had butter knifes out. Had to wait 15 minutes to get a steak knife. Most of the food was over cooked or burnt. The food was colder than the mimosa's, Disgusting!!! Average wait time was 15 minutes when asking for anything. While sitting down to eat they only filled two water glasses for a table of 8. They ran out of coffee and tea, and pretty much everything. The price on the website was not what they tried to charge in person. When going back to show them that the website said $30 a person it mysteriously was gone off the website. After speaking with the manager Tina about how disappointed I was with everything all she said is that she was sorry but they were really busy. Mother's Day Brunch was a nightmare yesterday. They sold too many tables and had no capacity to handle the food and beverage needs. Upon entering, there was a line to get to the small buffet that was as long as the entire restaurant. It took 45 minutes to get food, which was ridiculous. The food was mediocre and appeared to be rushed to prepare (e.g. the bacon didn't look adequately cooked and was pink and soggy, the chicken couldn't be cut with a knife. The manager was notified by myself and many other angry patrons of our dissatisfaction. The manager stated she would open a second buffet line -- it never happened. She had 2 hours of opportunity to improve our experience, but did nothing to make this situation better. I have been coming to the Ryde Hotel with my family for more than 30 years, and am sorry that this tradition will now be lost, as I will never go back after this horrible experience. read more

Had a late Valentines Day brunch, this was our first visit. Service was good. Coffee cup and mimosa glasses were never empty, plates were quickly removed, very pleasant wait staff. Food was extremely disappointing. Roast beef had not a hint of pink. It was tough and flavorless. Eggs Benedict were rubbery, even the english muffin. And the sauce...well wasn't at all saucy. We were there 20 minutes after they started serving and they had already dried out in the serving dish. Boring pastries...a mini banana muffin and an itty bitty slice of pound cake. Decor was just sad. A stray purple statis in a vase with a shiny red valentine spray for a centerpiece. Ladies room, woven waste basket spray painted silver...looked kinda cheesy. Is this an "All you can eat" buffet, or an "All has been eaten" buffet? This is the worst buffet I've ever been to. This is the first time I've left a buffet still hungry. To sum up the poor experience: 1.) Nearly half the buffet line ran out of food by noon, including no more french toast, pastries, eggs benedict, salmon and biscuits and gravy. 2.) Food was bland and tasteless. 3.) Service was rude. 4.) Dessert bar was straight from Costco bakery dept. 5.) Selection was slim. There were probably only 10 items to choose from. I see there are already plenty of posts about Mother's Day, and I have to concur with them all! It was, by far, the worst ran brunch I've ever been to. Also my mother stayed here for the night. The room was stuffy, so she had to leave the window open all night. There isn't a screen on the window, so watch out for bugs. She was told there was a TV to watch in the lounge, because they don't have them in the room, but the TV didn't work (and looked like it never worked). I was embarrassed to have put her up her for the night. I believe most of the staff is new, and they need a lot of training. I could say a lot more, but I'll leave it at this. read more

We have had brunch twice at the Ryde Hotel, New Years Day 2011 and now Easter 2011, and have enjoyed it very much both times. Love the ambiance and walking around the grounds. The food was really good but the biscuits never showed. Would've liked to have tried the biscuits with the gravy that was sitting there! But they had a nice salad table, nice selection of breakfast items, a carving table, and an omelet table. Nice selection of food, nice display. Unlimited mimosa's and champagne. They were very, very busy on Easter but the service was excellent the entire time we were there. We love the grounds so much that we are considering having our wedding here! read more

My husband and I absolutely love the Ryde Hotel's brunch. The ambiance is fantastic and such a cool drive to get to along the Delta. The staff is super friendly and the spread they put out for their Sunday brunch is so diverse and so scrumptious. I have to say that we also love, love, love the chocolate chip cookies made by their ever so talented pastry chef Timothy. The man deserves some kudos. The Ryde Hotel was the venue I picked for my wedding and it was beyond perfect. The hotel has an enchanted and haunted feeling to it. It was an Intimate wedding with just our closest friends and family. The Hotels garden and speakeasy were the perfect setting. Also the bridal house was perfect for wedding prep, ie hair/makeup; Very secluded with beautiful scenery and a mystical setting. We went there to treat my husband to an early Father's Day brunch (1 week prior to Father's Day). I had been here about 20 years ago while I was in my teens. I remembered this place being VERY good and the view amazing! I had talked this place up to my kids n husband. However, like other reviewers we too were highly disappointed. The construction was blowing dust everywhere...my kids have allergies and they immediately started sneezing! The service was horrible and the food even worse. There were only 2-3 hot items in buffet available and the rest were empty containers that never got refilled during our entire time. When we asked the hostess if the buffet will be refilled...she replied yes but that never happened. The food tasted horrible...salty and burnt potatoes. The eggs Benedict had hard yolks (like it had been sitting in the hot pan for a long time). No waiter came to check up on us. We had to wait for LONG time for the mimosas which were part of the buffet. I had to get my own silverware from another table since there was none set up on our table! Had to wait even longer to get our check, and forget about refills on coffee or mimosas!!! We will not be returning. I'd give this place a 0 if I could.... read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible. I scheduled weeks in advance for my wife and I to stay in the Riverview Bridal Master Suite for our first anniversary as a surprise, and they blew it. First off, they called the day before to tell me their freezer box was broken and they would not be able to offer dinner or Sunday brunch. The Sunday brunch was one of the main reasons I wanted us to stay there and that option was out the window. I looked past this because these things happen and they were offering a continental breakfast instead. Due to the 40 minute drive from our house to the hotel, I called them about 6 hours before we were going to show up to confirm our room was scheduled and there were no problems, which they did confirm. When we did arrive, the young man with the red dyed hair charged us for the room immediately and checked for the keys to our room. He seemed a bit nervous and confused when he saw there was only one key instead of two. I asked if there was a problem and he stated he thinks there was someone in our room. He made several attempts to call another employee to ask what happened and I had to recommend he walk to the room and see if anyone was in the room. He came back down after checking and confirmed they gave our room away. Walking down the stairs right behind him was the folks who just checked in before us and they said their room wasn't acceptable and they wanted a different one. I said I wanted a refund and he shouldn't have charged us for the room right away. He stated only a manager could give a refund and I was shocked I wasn't going to get my money back before leaving. I said I wanted the manager to call me first thing in the morning and we left to drive the 40 minutes home. The next day I had to call and speak with the manager myself because he still hadn't called by 11 am. The manager apologized and offered for us to stay for free anytime we wanted and said the charges were being reversed. I thanked him for the offer and explained that there was no way we were going to take him up on it though. read more

We stayed at the Ryde Hotel after a wedding at the nearby Grand Island Mansion. The location was very convenient, but the Ryde Hotel was a big disappointment. I wasn't expecting a 5 star hotel and I don't mind a little funky, the hotel was shabby and dirty. Our room had a torn bedspread, dirty walls, a decrepit bathroom and the furniture was years past it's prime. The common rooms and grounds were also sub par. The golf course view looked over a dirt field. Plus the cost was equal to a quality room in San Francisco. The help was seldom seem and slow to respond. It was also eerie that there was only one other room occupied on this weekend night. I would suggest you pass on this one and find another place to stay. read more

We drove by one Sunday and decided to try the Sunday Brunch. All three of us thought the food was absolutely wonderful - everything presented and prepared first class. The champagne was very good and I called back to see what it was so I could buy it myself. We have recommended going there to everyone we know! And will continue to do so and be back.. If there was a a way to give no stars at all I would certainly do so. I spent a mass amount of money for my wedding there , even though, I brought the food in and all the Ryde did was the appetizers. Everything I was told would happen did not. I was told the pool would be available for use, it was a SWAMP. I was told the new outdoor bathrooms would be complete, they were no more than the 40% complete when I visited months ago. The rooms leaked in my parents room as welll as a leak from the ceiling leaked onto the dancefloor and the DJ had to ask for an hour to have it cleaned up even with the hazard involved. My coordinator was on the phone with her other full time job the entire event, in fact we never spoke. Our belongings were stolen. All in all if you are considering this venue for an event, you will have a better chance of a event carried out as described in your own backyard. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT WILL RUN THIS HOTEL INTO THE GROUND IN NO TIME!!! When you allow a 22 year old "child" with no hotel experience or customer service experience become the general manager during my event as everyone quit, there is something wrong!!!!! Omg!! Where do I start? The silverware was dirty . The linens were dirty. Paid 140 dollars for four peoples brunch with a 20 dollar tip. The waitress was nice so we tipped her well but the food was terrible . We couldn't even bite through the biscuits. The desserts were nothing like the pictures. No homemade stuff. .My Wife and I went here New Year's Day for brunch to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We booked the reservation 6 weeks in advance with the manager (Randy). The buffet was scheduled to run from 10am to 2pm. We arrived right at noon, our reservation time . We were seated promptly by Randy, who made absolutely no mention of our special day even though he had personally made the reservation and my wife had clued him in as to what was being celebrated. There were two tables by the window set for two but we were not offered one of those tables. Instead we were seated at a table that was just about right in the middle of the entrance into the dining room. Do you think that maybe an anniversary couple may want to sit by the window? Somewhere a little special in the room? We were on time for our reservation but the "buffet" looked as if it had been going for days not hours. There were hotel pans with little to no food in them. Half a dozen Farmer John's sausage links in one and maybe two dozen pieces of bacon in another, all swimming in grease. The pan with the oven roasted red potatoes had maybe half a dozen pieces of potato in it. There were two kinds of gravy but no bisciuts. When my wife asked if there were any biscuits she was told by one of the cooking staff (with a BIG ATTITUDE) that the bisciuts were in the oven. Might want to make a proportionate amout of bisciuts to gravy and have the bisciuts ready. The Fresh fruit salad was nothing but some melon and a few under ripe strawberries. The "Pulled pork" was a few picnic roasts boiled with spices and put whole into hotel pans with a pair of tongs to TEAR THE MEAT APART YOURSELF. Pulled pork is supposed to be cooked "low and slow" to make it tender. Refer to Barbeque 101. Once cooked, it is shredded or diced for easy serving. These pork roasts were undercooked and as tough as my boots. Tearing them apart with tongs was almost impossible. I ended up splattering my shirt with the juice the roasts were swimming in. The omlette/waffle/french toast station looked as if it had been hit by several bombs. Food everywhere. The pans with the omlette fillings were either empty or partially full. All the fillings looked as if the "chef" running the omlette station had mixed the fillings together in the pans. Ham in with the green onions, green onions in with the cheese, cheese in with the tomatoes etc. Raw egg splattered on the table. Bits of food all over the table. And the "chef" was cooking fench toast at the omlette station. The french toast was at least one inch thick. Anyone who has ever cooked french toast knows that while having the toast one inch thick looks tasty, it takes a long time to cook. People were standing four deep at the omlette station waiting for food. Also, No carving station so no ham or beef. No pastries. Not even a hint of anything special like maybe smoked salmon of prime rib. A brunch buffet is really a "no-brainer" meal. Cook good food and keep it coming. This buffet on the otherhand was a joke. If this is the quality of food the new owners plan to serve I can only guess at how poorly the hotel will be run. In this day and age with the economy in the tank, places like this should be run with the idea that people can go anywhere to spend their hard earned money. The Ryde Hotel should be a destination people go. Not somewhere they happen to pass and stop in. The owners should go back to school and study customer service and Randy may want to take a class or two himself. If you are looking for brunch, pass this place by and head for Sacramento or Stockton and go to Denny's. At least the food will be fresh. However if you want to take in a good joke, head for the Ryde Hotel. It will either make you laugh or bring you to tears. Loosely put this buffet was nothing more than a big joke. At $19.95 a person I should have not been surprised. Having been in the service industries for more than 30 years I can not believe the owners would allow this to take place. AND THE OWNERS WERE SITTING AT THE BAR RIGHT BEHIND US OBLIVIOS TO EVERYTHING. MIGHT WANT TO CHECK IN FROM TIME TO TIME. This review is long past due but here it is... My husband and I got married here on October 29th and I could not be happier with our experience here. We found ourself looking at the Ryde for our wedding location after attending a friends wedding here. I also did the the hair for their wedding and got to see the behind the scenes action of the day leading up to the ceremony. As a hairstylist specializing in weddings I've seen A LOT of venues and NEVER have seen such an accommodating and relaxed venue. When we got engaged it was the first place we looked. We knew we loved the funky Art Deco decor and the fabulous food already but when we got to know the friendly, mellow and ultra accommodating staff we were thrilled to book The Ryde as our wedding venue. The months leading up to our wedding were fantastic. Any time we had a question there was an answer for us right away. We decided to make a family weekend out of our wedding and stay at the hotel the Friday before the big day and the night of the wedding. Randy was more then accommodating in handling the MANY reservations that came in from my family! Some for one night, some for two, some wanted big rooms some had babies...all kinds of situations... it confused the heck out of me but he made it work perfect. Friday before the wedding the hotel was filled with our family and friends. The staff was so great and so relaxed. The place really felt like home. All the kids were playing on the gorgeous wedding lawn while we got to set up our decorations for the next day. On the morning of our wedding my family could relax and enjoy a great little breakfast spread in the parlor and hang out in the sun on the patio while the kids played. The girls and I pampered in the bridal suite while my husband and his groomsmen cracked a couple beers in their room. The hotel staff even helped us avoid seeing each other before the wedding all day Saturday. (maybe we're old fashioned but that really made it fun) Our wedding was absolutely beautiful. Started right on time. Our reception was a blast. We've been told time after time that it was the funnest wedding people had ever been to! The food was delicious and the bar was huge. No lines and people could order whatever they wanted. The tables were set up perfectly and the dance floor was awesome! At the end of the night they even let the party animals grab one last drink and head to the parlor to have an after party. THEN the hotels chef made late night grilled cheese sandwiches for everyone!! If that doesnt prove to you this place is amazing the Sunday brunch the next day should! All our friends and family that stayed at the hotel and some that stayed at other places near by met downstairs for brunch the morning after the wedding. The spread was AMAZING!!! Everything you could ever imagine in a brunch spread was there and was so delicious! We got the chance to spend a little extra time with our out of town relatives and say good bye before heading out for our honeymoon. It was the perfect wedding weekend. Absolutely perfect. Today we went to the Ryde hotel for the Easter brunch buffet. Huge mistake! The price was ridiculous for what you got. They had breakfast items, one salad, the driest and toughest meat you have ever tasted, and desserts that appeared to have been be dropped (my son's words). They couldn't handle the crowd and ran out of several of the foods (biscuit and gravy, soda, eggs and carving station meat). We did speak to a manager and she is suppose to call us. We will see! I felt so sad because we were a big party and our bill was huge, and I felt responsible for this disaster. read more

My husband and I stayed here with another couple (of Evans Landscape Maintenance) in room 302 last weekend. Daniel was absolutely amazing. He made sure our experience at the hotel was perfect. My husband and his buddies stayed on Saturday night and we came to meet them on Sunday morning to enjoy the all you can eat (and drink mimossas) breakfast buffet. The staff was very accommodating and very attentive. The food itself was wonderful. (We were somewhat bummed that there was not more of an egg selection, and the bacon seemed raw and covered in raw uncooked grease, but all in all, the buffet was delicious). We ended up booking a room for Sunday night (unplanned) also and Daniel made sure that check-in and check-out went smoothly. The rooms were clean, warm (with additional heaters and blankets provided) and all of our requests and needs were met promptly and with kindness. The staff tolerated our obnoxious behavior after too many mimosas, and were not rude, nor did they lose their patience for one moment. We look forward to our next stay at the Ryde, which will happen soon for sure. Hopefully next weekend. Bevause of our amazing experience all around at the Ryde, this has become our new "go-to" retreat. The armosphere is great, (I have read other reviews stating the rooms are "out dated", We saw them as having character, sticking to the art decco theme and personality of the entire hotel, and they were very clean, always a pluss for sure.) staff is wonderful, Sunday brunch buffet is well worth its value, all around a great place to go. On a side note, there are no televisions in the rooms, and there is no wifi available. We saw this as a positive, making it a great place to unwind and unplug. But could potentially be a deterrent if these things are necessary for your travels. Thanks again Daniel and to the rest of rhe staff for making us feel welcome, and for being so accommodating. This review is a bit overdue. My husband and I got married at Ryde Hotel on 1/1/2016. We wanted a place that would handle everything for us, no fuss. We booked the wedding date in May 2015. We made most of the decisions in that first meeting with the manager and did not need to worry about anything. For the most part it was very easy dealing with Ryde for wedding planning. They have a contract with Something Sweet Bakery in Galt (which I HIGHLY recommend, no matter what your contract is) for the wedding cake and recommendations for the flowers. The only additional services we had to find on our own was the photography and DJ (if you want those services). Ryde will only book one wedding per day, so there is no worry about overflow in ceremonies. Once you are booked, only your guests can book rooms for that day/night. They might have some pre-existing appointments, but it was not a problem for us. The only issue we had in wedding planning is we had to make a little more effort in setting up the additional meeting with the manager to go over final details. The contract had already been signed, so it was us making the effort for the meeting just to confirm details about the menu. Not that big a deal though, I imagine this is going to happen with any hotel. Cons: - Our guests had problems in calling and booking their rooms. The staff is limited, so not often will someone be sitting at the front desk just to answer the phone. I had to tell my guests to keep calling in order to get a room, or I made the effort in calling for them. This did not cause any long term problems though, all our guests were able to get a room for the wedding day/night. - I do not know the current status of this, but at the time of our wedding there was a lot of construction being planned for hotel renovations. The place of the ceremony and reception were wonderful, but the parking lot was unpaved and surrounding buildings were under renovation. - Do not rely on the "continental breakfast." It was just a couple slices of home made bread. We had some of our guests book two nights, so we could stay there for the night before the wedding. Since we were giving a lot of extra business to Ryde, the manager and assistant manager went out of their way to make us breakfast. This is not a normal service though and there is not much in terms of food nearby. Overall, Ryde is not perfect. It's an old building and at times has limited staff. But in the end, I am an amazing wedding and reception and have no regrets! read more

We've come here a lot before and food has been great, but today we went there an the food was so bad we had to leave. the sausage, bacon, eggs benidict, pancakes, and pot roast was burnt picture to give you an idea. Not only the quality of the food but the quantity was lackluster as well... There was almost nothing left for a place that has a buffet. When my grandmother asked for the supervisor she was told by an eastern european lady that she would go get the supervisor, but when my grandmother asked another employee who was in charge he pointed to the very same lady my grandma had just talked to. Soooo someone is lying, not good to lie to your customers, we are not idiots. Also my grandma asked for the owners number who she called as we sat there to see why they thought this was acceptable for a company to provide such a shoddy service. We visited on 7/16/17. It is now 7/19/17 and still no call back!!! Well to the owner of the Ryde Hotel you just lost Twelve customers who have been coming here since 2013, So you can take your food and shove it, I aint eatin this crap no more! read more

It was so horrible, it was _almost_ funny. No heat. No hot water. The toilet was broken (and filled with dark brown water). Front desk staff seemed to want to do anything aside from be helpful. Insisted that I should have hot water. Ran our shower for 10 minutes. No hot water, but did find out that the tub leaked, flooding our bathroom floor. Found a shower elsewhere that had hot water, but no heat means the shower was super steamy, which set off the fire alarm (which, I would like to point out, activated all the guests, but none of the staff). When I tried to dry my hair, blew every outlet in my room. Tried to call them to get a refund, but no one answered phone. Worst hotel experience of my life. Run, don't walk, away!! read more

Loved this place! Coordinated family get together for Easter Brunch. It was very nice. Everyone loved the drive out to the Delta to get to Ryde. Plenty to eat and a nice variety. I called a month in advance to book reservation because it was for Easter. Probably didn't need to do it quite so far, but you never know. I made changes to reservation and used the website to email changes and ask a couple questions. I never received a response from that so Am unsure if communicating by their website email actually works. Also their voice mail message mentions office hours but no where are the office posted other than their front door; not on web or on voice message. They do return all phone messages and are extremely nice. You just need to have patience. We will definitely try it again maybe for a dinner for 2 or 4, if they do that. During the brunch, the servers could not have been friendlier. We enjoyed the whole experience. read more

There are not enough characters for me to fully write why this place is getting only 2 stars. I will highlight some positives and negatives for all the brides looking for an awesome venue. Pros: you can set up the day before and they don't double book weddings or up charge for the extra time they give you which is amazing. Also the food is delicious and the ceremony site and the speakeasy ballroom are beautiful. The cons - they are very unprofessional. Our guests couldn't get a live person to book a room and the voicemail is always full. The wedding coordinators are terrible, so hire one to help you out because you will never get ahold of them. Do not expect any beers other than CHEAP, even if you contract for IPAs. They said local seasonal craft beers - we got tecate and bud light and similar beers. Nothing craft or local about that. Also we paid for open bar and they ran out of all wine, champagne and some beers. The water smells like rotten eggs, that is not uncommon for old buildings but they had no hot water for 2 days and didn't want to bother fixing it and I had to fight with them about it- granted it's an old hotel but my wedding was booked for over a year and it had been broken long before. Also the kids buffet was not what was in the contract. The rooms also are not clean. There was makeup on our pillows and the bathtub had scum. I would suggest not staying in the hotel if you have your wedding here. It's a beautiful venue but not a quality hotel for you or your guests. Most of mine cancelled and went to a different hotel after all the issues on rehearsal night. read more

Ok so I am a big delta fan. I have a boat and have visited the Ryde by both land and boat over many years. I have always found this hotel to be a great spot to hang out and on Sundays go for brunch. Sadly, the hotel has recently been sold. The new owners have removed the old golf course (which wasn't much of a course), basically nice grass and pear trees. Most of the trees are gone as is the grass and foundations are being laid for something. The biggest sad part comes from the brunch. It used to be $35, which was pricey, but the entrees were top notch, with smoked salmon, peeled shrimp, sliced beef, ham and a big selection of entrees and salads. It was a great spot with an unexpectedly gourmet brunch in the middle of the delta! Went there 2 weeks back and the price is now $19.95, no salmon, shrimp, beef or ham, and the entree and salad selection has dwindled to a more basic breakfast buffet. You can get an omelet made for you still, but much has been removed. You can now buy a shrimp cocktail for $8.95 with 8 smaller shrimp, as well as a couple other off the menu entrees, but it really wasn't what we were in the mood for. The remaining food is still tasty, although I think they are using less expensive ingredients now, specifically in the quality of the bacon. Even with free champagne, it is no longer worth it to drive there and eat. Plenty of places have breakfast buffets. Go to one of them and save your gas. July 30, 2017, four of us decided to meet at the Ryde Hotel for brunch. Two of us drove down from Oakland, CA and two of us from Sacramento, CA. After arriving and deciding to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. We had to clear the spider webs off the seats first. That should have been our first clue. Second the waiter comes to bring us silverware and began placing it on the non covered wood patio table. we had to ask for the silverwares to at least be placed on a napkin. WOW. Third, there was no omelet station, no carving station, no salmon, no eggs, no waffle station, everything was horrible except the cold shrimps. We asked to speak with a manager and of course the manager was not on site. The waiter offered 20% off and our bill still averaged $100 dollars which I found to be unacceptable. We left hungry and disappointed . I would not recommended ever eating here again. They are promoting false advertisement with the food pictures. How Funny. read more

Spent a weekend at the Ryde. Not a modern hotel, but the staff more than makes up for the lack of modern touches (and really, do you expect modern in a historic hotel?) We were there for an event and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate each every request we had. The food was fabulous and abundant. If you are looking for a venue for an event, consider the Ryde hotel. We rented out all of the rooms for our event and were treated like royalty the whole weekend! We had music and dancing and even a wine tasting. Could not be more pleased with the service and the staff!!! read more

Tried to go for Fathers Day Brunch and the menu upon arrival changed to a BBQ. If you don't mind trying food at a place that doesn't manicure their grounds, has a green pool, has unfinished construction and is very unorganized, then good luck thinking the food and service is any better. Such a nightmare. We came here for mothers day brunch, ensuring we had made our reservation almost a month ahead. We arrived a bit early to things already in chaos. They didnt have seating or reservation squared away, they ran out of glasses, with it ending up drinking mimosas out of coffee cups. I think they tried to pack as many people in as possible because even when trying to get to the brunch we had to weave, literally pressing our sides of people at tables. The wait for the line was over 30 mins and my grandparents had to actually ask to sit at another table becauae they couldnt stand that long. It seemed so poorly planned and over pacted like all they cared was getting in as much cash. Horrible ambiance for something that should have been an enjoyable mothersday :( read more

This was just the worst!!! Don't go for any reason. Just go somewhere else. This used to be so classy and it is just awful now. The food is not kept at safe/health dept. regulations for one thing and the salads are warm and limp and the desserts we're eat at your own risk. The service is...well it is non existent sad to say. We went for a special occasion and it was embarrassing to my host that it was so awful and my daughter was in tears....whom ever owns this place should be ashamed and probably doesn't even bother to check the reviews. read more

We just recently had our wedding at the Ryde Hotel and it was a great time! Jan and her staff were very accommodating and both the ceremony and reception went smoothly. The ceremony was held in their beautiful garden gazebo area which was well maintained and in great shape. The reception was held on the outdoor patio (which was recently remodeled) and inside the old speakeasy portion downstairs. The seating and dancing area were organized perfectly and the entire facility was awesome. The food at the reception was very good, and the service we received was excellent! The chef even stayed up to make us pizza in the wee hours of the morning! Thanks for a great time and we look forward to visiting in the future! read more

The new management is lacking. Service fails, food falls short. I used to come all the time. The place no lacks the warmth and charm that it used to have. Im sad to say, I wont be back. read more
