I rented trucks at the Orange location 1440 N Main street. for many years and never had any issues with them until I had a flat tire, they charge me $952.55 they told my bank that I authorized the payment but I did not authorized, since they have my credit card on file they charge me for it. i tried call them many times Edward always answers but not the times I call regarding with this issue. now I have my own truck I realize if I'm going to spent $952.55 per one tire minus well enjoy it my self. read more

Needed a refrigeration truck for our restaurant business to deliver KBBQ to SD. The reservation was placed only a couple of days before but they were able to reserve a truck for me that day. Shout out to Celestine, Account Manager in Hawaii, for helping me set up the reservation. When I arrived to pick up the truck, Edward and Chris were extremely helpful and friendly. They explained all my questions really well and set me up with my truck in no time. The truck ran really well and kept my food nice and cold. My only concern was with the cleanliness of the truck, I realize these trucks are used for all sorts of jobs, but the cargo area could use some deodorizing or airing out as the cargo space had a heavy fish smell that was a bit unpleasant. He answered all our questions and left our minds at ease, especially with the uncertainty of this quarantine situation we are all in. I would advise to ignore all the ratings that stemmed from 2013. Currently, this location has always topped and exceeded my expectations upon renting a truck for any occasion. Sergio is the guy that would make sure you were in and out within 10-15 min! He's completely the man that caters the front when you walk in and is attentive to everyone for their questions and reservations. Amongst Sergio is also Eddie, who remembered my name upon the first time of meeting him and was very friendly to assist me! They go out of their way to make sure you aren't waiting too long and try their best to keep their relations with you as their highest priority. There are also other friendly staffers for Ryder that don't get the recognition. Trucks have always been polished before I took over and there was once an incident where I was driving it on the freeway and a small construction collision with the side mirror took place. I called Ryder to ask for help and Sergio completely took care of it for me! It was amazing. They have always provided superior customer service for me and never disappointed. Parking was always safe when swapping your car to leave it in the lot. I've used Ryder mainly for work events in the past and had no issue ever of having my car parked there all day and even almost overnight at one point. Horrible, Horrible customer service. We rented a truck 1 month in advance because we were moving into a new house. The day before at 5:30 pm customer service called to confirm our truck rental for that morning at 7:00 am. The customer service rep seemed nice and friendly, told us our truck will be ready first thing in the morning and we were all set. We called all our family to meet us at the old house and storage unit first thing in the morning to start loading the truck. However, when we arrived that morning to pick up our truck, we waited 15 minutes for someone to come to the counter....and no one was in line, we were the only people there and we could here guys yelling and messing around in the back. Finally a guy came up and asked what we needed, Told him we were there to pickup the truck rental we confirmed last night. Without missing a beat he said sorry we dont have any trucks for you to rent. WHAT!!!! I said what do you mean, we confirmed this last night and everything was set, not to mention I see about 10 trucks right outside your window and there isnt anyone else here to rent them. He said sorry we cant help you and you can in these exact words "go find somewhere else to rent your truck". We asked to speak to a manager and he told us they wouldnt help us so it didnt matter if we called one. We ask for the card and he handed it to us. We called and called and left messages and not one person called us back the whole day or even the days following. Horrible service and I would never recommend this place to anyone. BEWARE!!! Ryder truck leasing is not were you want to lease or rent. Ryder as a leasing company is dishonest they make claims About ethics and standards it's just lip service. Their trucks are late model but they brake down a lot I mean constantly. Lots of service calls to people's homes. When their trying to move and the truck and or lift gate is broke they do not have parts on the service trucks so it ain't getting fixed. They also lease to trucking company large and small and do contract maintance Most of their mechanics are fuel island guys they take some Ryder class in brakes and tires that you can't fail and through the union get tech position they have no idea How to fix the trucks or how to inspect them that's why they have 67 million dollars in sub truck a year horrible management a company culture of dishonesty finger pointing and passing the buck. Do yourself a favor just don't rent or lease trucks from Ryder or you'll be the one yelling at a mechanic. Calling their brake down hot line at 8 o'clock and 4 hrs later someone will show up tell you they can't fix it. They get minimum 4 hrs pay at 32.97 an hr.overtime And no their is zero acountability. The union makes sure of that.trust me I know the union runs the company. I have seen first hand upper management tell company's with at least 150 trucks and trailers that everything is good it's getting done when 2 mechanics are at another account on the other guys dime if that ain't Unethical then what is . I should also mention that if your diving down Kramer around 91 to west grove St la palma and imperial towards anahiem watch out for those blue and red beer trucks because for a long while they were letting them leave the shop brakes were metal to metal and no brake lights or turn signals either. Flat tires not even on the wheels beed Believe it not that par for the course with most rider shops and the contract matainance shops are even worse no regard for Public safety once so ever. Well you've been warned so now it's up to you the customer. the potential customers. I can only tell you some of what I know. But you'd be wise read this and take it very serious clearly I'm not someone who just rented a truck from Ryder once I just moved to another state and i insisted the company that moved me did not use a ryder truck.
