Nicely laid out with some very challenging holes. During summer months one needs to secure tee times well in advance as all tee times are taken. The course also has a driving range. Range balls are also fairly priced at $8.00 for a small (50) balls and $16.00 for a large (100) balls. The driving range matts are quite warm but pro shop where balls are sold told me they were being replaced in the 2024 season. Brand new golf carts have replaced the old ones only negative is these carts are gas powered which can result in jerky stops and starts. But this facility does not have a cart barn which prevents electrical access. Hopefully in the future the town of Greenwich will erect a cart barn with electrical chargers for electric carts. Pro shop carries the popular brands of shirts, golfing apparel and shoes. The personnel in the shop are knowledgeable and very helpful. The manager, Ashley, has great personality and is a pleasure to deal. Everyone in the shop is friendly and courteous to all patrons. Lessons are available from PGA professionals. For a public course I highly recommend the "Griff"

*AVOID THIS COURSE AT ALL COSTS*…read more Checked in 3 minutes late for our tee time and were denied entry after multiple weeks of showing up and having to wait 25+ minutes for golf carts to arrive. The starter in particular is always difficult to deal with and they boom tee times too close to each other.

There's only one minor problem with this thinking -- I'm happy 95.8 percent of the time and boy was I rolling high Friday night. So I kinda blocked out that part about playing golf with big boss super early the following morning up in Westchester. And if typical braggadocios form -- my huge golf ego got in the way because ""when you were a 6 Hcp Glenn, you can play in any shape" and I did -- back then and - wow - no translation to modern day times. My long time playing partner was clear " the front nine, it's gettable" and that fed into thinking "I'm not going to romance this course, I'm gonna charge right at it." Wham!! snap hooked a 3 iron into deep rough, blocked out by a huge pine tree, I'd have been better off swinging an old maids broom on this day. After 3 all I wanted to do was sit on a nice warm flat rock and watch the little fishies playing around in the beautiful natural streams, so I downed another bunch of Advil and pressed on. The bunkers were unplayable as Hurricane Ida dropped massive amounts of water on the course, yet greens fairways and teeboxes were prestine. I love Winton designs, the Golden Age of golf course architecture, no lining up the tee boxes with the correct passage to the green, fairway bunkers that hide just below the ridgelines - I thank the golf gods that I'm still long so I can fly my ball over them and the course plays short at 6,293 from the back tees. Some high handicappers on the course I could hear being snippy at each other and to all new golfers, please never do that, it doesn't matter if they can't play a lick, you should always encourage them.

Wow what memories of turtle cove golf center in the city island part of the Bronx or technically…read morenot in city island but close enough .You got a driving golf range to hit the bucket full of golf balls as far as you can , mini golf range for the kids or adults who stink at regular golf and a batting cage section to get your swing on . Place looks the same after all these years and it's a bit scary at night if you look across the road and wonder what's lurking in the woods .A food stand that actually has good food so I can stuff my face while hitting golf balls and while we are here a little batting practice and finishing up with some fun miniature golf before we hit the road . Good memories are back while visiting turtle cove golf center in the Bronx and after all these years them woods across the road still scares me .4.5 stars and I still stink at hitting golf balls .
