What I don't like is that every time I've gone, the payout price is ALWAYS lower than advertised. The excuse of 'fluctuating market prices' can be true, but amazingly always in their favour. The 'mixed metal' rates are over-compensated in their favour - you could hand them something that's clearly 99% gold (for an extreme example), but if it has so much as a tiny metal screw in it, the whole thing becomes about the same worth as all-metal. Their measured weights are also light. For bulk steel, the printout weight was actually lower than the scale readout (now that's brazen!) And for a specific metal type (ex. purely alum cans), I pre-weighed my load (in a large cardboard box) with 2 separate (and accurate) digital scales (both were the same) - CFT's weighed amount was about 4 kilos light, and it's not like the box they were in weighed anywhere close to that! They skim just low enough to make it look like some kind of margin of error. It's dirty and they need to be legally called out on it!

first of all i called on saturday , he got back to me sat night . he said he would be at my house…read moreat 1 pm , sunday , and he was . he gave me an estimate btween $150 or $250 . the price was $250 if i needed a new carburator . i needed a new carb , the original carb lasted about 25 years , not bad . he showed me the carb and it was all gummy , the carb could not be rebuilt . it was on it's last legs . al was a real gentleman , he proceeded to install the new carb and a full tuneup . when he was done , he pulled the cord and on the first pull it was purring like a kitten . i was very pleased . the guy does quality work , and he even had the new carb in his truck . very satisfied !

Well I was in a pickle! Having had 2 knee surgeries and a ruptured disc in the past I was really in…read moreno shape to handle the hoard left in my father in laws basement after we put him in care. After doing 6 utility trailer loads myself I decided it was time for professional help. I called the gang at Capital Junk and talked with Justin who got me all set up for an appointment to send 2 trucks and 2 men to cart it all away. Throughout the process Justin kept me informed and aware of when they were arriving and how long things would take. As we live in the country about an hour drive from Ottawa there was an additional $100 fee per load, which seemed fair given the 2 hour round trip just to get here and back. Paul and Coran arrived at the specified timing and worked like beavers to sort and haul. Despite the fact that it was snowing hard they worked steady and tirelessly. It took them 2 days and 4 truck loads but the results were amazing. Thoughtful, pleasant and respectful, these 2 young men were a credit to their employer and I really enjoyed their wit and conversation which they never used to slack off....they just kept working away through it all. The cost seemed reasonable given the tipping fees, gas and time involved and it was all done swiftly and efficiently. Highly recommend.
