We did not have a reservation and unfortunately all tables with ocean views were occupied. We kinda begged our server for an ocean view table, and she made it happen! A previous reservation had cancelled. We ordered a few drinks and for dinner- beef with mushroom gravy and cod with mussels and potatoes. The cod was absolutely delicious!!! A generous portion on top of potatoes and mussels in a light coconut curry. The fish was not overcooked, but flaky and moist. The beef was juicy and had a lovely mushroom and onion gravy. Chef kisses to both entries!! Service was great with prompt service and friendliness. After dinner, we wandered outside to check out the ocean views, and a beautiful rainbow appeared in the horizon. This restaurant was definitely worth the stop!

It certainly helped that the weather was perfect, encouraging us to eat outdoors so we could look out at the water. This place is hard to miss from the road, as the owner created a memorial for the Irish who sailed from the shores, never to return. This will be a "must visit" stop for us next time we return to Ireland (and there will be a next time!)

I found it to have very thoughtful touches like that, the special room & playground equipment - I also heard staff tell a patron that the kids get a toy to keep with their meal. I didn't view the kids menu, tho I heard a parent talking about some options with her child, including fish & every child's favorite fun food "spaghetti"! Adults were not forgotten- there were candles on the table and nicely plated meals and home-style options, with a lovely selection of wine and beet to choose from. The service was friendly and helpful- food was well seasoned and properly cooked: fingerling potatoes were crisp outside and tender inside. The Marie rose dressing was delicious and made this salad one of our favorites of this trip. Lastly their Irish soda bread was the best we've eaten and wished we could've gotten a loaf to take with us. The good service, great food and eclectic ambiance made for a nice Easter Sunday meal.
