We came here for our last dinner in Galway. It's a very cute restaurant, though the tables and space between them are quite small. Service was fine. I had the croquettes, mussels and roast chicken. The roast chicken in particular, with a side included, was an absolutely massive portion. I definitely left very full.

Fantastic waitstaff and the service was impeccable. The seafood is very fresh. Get the seafood medley special. The barata was good too. Carrots were good too. The chips are wide and crispy too. Best restaurant in Galway! . Book a reservation and go!!

Everything was fabulous! The food was great, the service was so gracious, the ambiance is very nice and uplifting. They were very thoughtful about my no-dairy issues and gave me special bread and olive oil , and prepared my lamb entree with no butter and plain beans. The John Dory fish special was succulent. And the gin special 2 for €12.95 was great! We will definitely tell others to give it a go! Thank you, Megan, for being a wonderful waitress and for the great dining experience!

The best Irish breakfast that we had while traveling throughout Ireland. The sausages were nicely seasoned and tender. I'm still not a fan of the black & white pudding (which is made out of pig's blood). I wish that we had found Brasserie earlier during our stay in Galway.

This is the best fish and chips we've had since visiting Ireland! Great cozy spot with a good menu and drink options. Our waitress was very sweet!

This was one of those magical experiences where we didn't have a reservation, didn't know what we were looking for, and just happened to stumble upon Brasserie on the Corner. We entered through Blake's Bar and had a bit of a Harry Potter moment when we walked up a few steps to find that the space keeps going - opening up into a warm, rich interior with welcoming, friendly people and food that was just delicious. Definitely order the Galway Goat Cheese Croquettes. I had the Ribeye (locally sourced) and it was cooked to perfection. My wife had the Wild Atlantic Baked Tiger Prawns and loved them. We rounded out the meal with the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Every bite was elevated and elegant. We ate pretty early so it was quiet and mellow. The wait staff was fun, attentive and friendly. This place is a must-try!

We were finally able to get a reservation during the packed weekend of Easter. Staff were friendly and got us seated right away even though we were early. The restaurant is vibrant and has a cozy feel to it. The food was very good, flavorful and had vegetarian options for dinner. The only minus point was it took forever for us to flag staff to pay the bill. But overall, enjoyed the experience and would go again.

Brasserie on the corner was beautiful and the food matched. It's a romantic and cozy spot with great service. We stopped for an early snack before dinner and wished we'd had dinner there! Would highly recommend.

This was a beautiful restaurant. I made a reservation because this was a popular spot. I was sat right away during my reservation time. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. They had some of the best soda bread I've had while in Galway. Flavorful and nutty but also light. The beef croquettes were excellent. The sauce that came with them was creamy and savory. The beef was perfectly tender and seasoned. The beef croquettes were my favorite. The Hake and risotto was their special for the evening. I am not a huge fan of fish, but when I'm Galway you definitely need order fish! The fish was cooked perfectly and was tender and light. The prices were reasonable here as well considering this is a higher end restaurant. I would highly recommend this spot for a nice night out.

Such an incredible first dinner in Galway! The food was to die for. Our server was so nice and friendly, as were the other patrons. You can't go wrong with the seafood in this place.

Steak is amazing, I love that you can pick sauces and the mushrooms were divine as a side. We started with the prawns and they were dynamite. I'll be sending people back here. Drink was a bit too sweet but great environment and staff were very good. Highly recommend

We had the crispy salt and pepper squid, the brown bread, and the cod fish and chips. Everything was amazing. The squid and fish were fresh. The bread was homemade and soft. Too much traffic, glass bottles dropping (crashing) in to a bin. Could've done without that, startling every time someone dropped or threw a bottle in. On to the rest of the experience. We got set very quickly, upon verifying our reservation. Took too long for the server to come around and off us anything. Got our drink order in, drinks cane pretty quickly, bottles of beer and a pour of wines. Food orders got in shortly afterwards, with the wait time not taking too long. Our group ordered the Tempura Prawns, Grilled Hake with mashed potatoes & broccolini, grilled hake with chips & broccolini, seafood linguine. Everything was prepared nicely and tasted quite good. Good volume of food too, nobody left hungry. The service... not that great. Really took away from the overall experience. Not engaging, not explaining dishes, kinda cold! Took multiple tries to get their attention. Not a complete showstopper but could definitely use improvement. Cheers.

In two weeks of eating around Ireland, this was the standout. Great food, great service and great…read moreambiance sitting in the bar area ( which is in several rooms). Where to begin? Every dish we ordered was good: oysters with rhubarb salsa; sweet potatoes/split pea dip with pita; tamarind beef skewers; mushroom dumplings; beet salad and the amazing ceviche. All are small plates perfect for sharing. Everything was excellent though the dumplings were under spiced. One fun note: they sell glasses of mystery wine, high quality wine not listed on the menu and you guess what it is. We had a few! Padraic o conaire, the Irish author that Galway likes to talk about, lived where the restaurant is based now. The rooms are filled with plants and photos; as well as jars of liquor being infused for future cocktails. Reservations are mandatory but not too hard to get in the bar. We compared menus and actually preferred the bar menu. It's pricey but a great evening

I wish I could give Ruibin 5 stars but the items we ordered were not all 5 star items although I'd go back for the seafood ceviche alone and just eat that and the tomato salad and call it quits. - bread and butter provided at no charge were excellent - 5/5, soft chewy bread with a nice crust - sweet potato and split pea puree with pistachio and pita - 4/5, yummy and a solid offering - seafood ceviche - 5*/5 this was truly the star of the night. Deliciously fresh with two large round fresh tortilla wafers so so good! - duck breast - 5/5, this was my partner's outstanding dish - the duck was perfectly done and with a crisp skin. Wish I'd ordered this one. Instead (having had fish for the last seven meals!), I ordered - pastrami bavette (sliced steak with a very heavy crust of very salty spicy pastrami seasoning). The server did warn me it would be spicy and it definitely was - a bit too much so and salty too - perhaps if they had seasoned it a bit more lightly / the end piece that were mostly pastrami seasoning were almost inedible they were so salty. The potato side that came with it was delicate and crisp and delicious, I did eat a lot of the steak just around the pastrami crust and I did not have the bleu cheese since I don't care for bleus- that may have softened the saltiness, maybe - tomato salad - 5/5, this was excellent and light with juicy tomatoes, radish slices, some greens We didn't see anything appealing on the dessert menu so skipped that part, We're glad we tried Ruibin and would definitely go back for the ceviche alone!
